Is there a reason you've never reviewed or mentioned Tomo's Evo or Revo? I'm not the world's best surfer, or most knowledgeable, but I've been surfing a very long time, travelled a lot and had a lot of boards, incl. some on your list... And the Evo is fun! Revo even better as a step up. Insane travel boards. Great show.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Revo. I’m curious why it was just okay for you. Any other comments on it? Picking one up this week and I’ll see how it goes!
Both those Tomo boards with the “sawed off” nose thing seem fun but will never get over the novelty look and make a surfer look kind of awkward. Like riding a board tail forward. Again , I am sure they can have their place somewhere though.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 no problem, i had a couple of RNF96 last season in MX, like them but not my fovourite, i'll get a Micks Tape some as part of my quiver for this season. I'm very curious to try it
Great work on a super entertaining and useful video! For the Dominator 2, which I know you mentioned in the video, what do you think about going a size bigger? I'm 160 lbs 5'9 and advanced/expert (but not pro) and 27L feels good, at least on the 5'4 mashup. I picked up a 5'6 28L Dominator 2 but haven't had a chance to ride it but am wondering if I'm going to sacrifice a lot of performance vs a 5'4 at 26L. I feel 26L works when I'm not as tired and have been working out consistently, especially if I'm surfing a crowded San Diego spot which seems the norm. If they had a 5'5 at 27L I would have gravitated towards that. What's your opinion on the 5'4 vs 5'6 for my situation?

Sweet review Noel! Been surfing the fishbeard with your HP fins last couple years in CA surf and been loving it. Wondering what you’re surfing in the head high - 1.5 overhead surf, maybe up to double overhead?
@@PainFreeOutdoors_ I say Pyzalien 2 but for double overhead I say Ghost.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 sweet! Thanks for the tip, and for someone shorter like me 5’6” any advice to modify board length?

Hey, really appreciate all your reviews and hard work.
Regarding the rnf96, to get my regular 38cL i would need to either go 6'0 or custom a 5'10. I am 218lbs, 5'10, 41 year old fit higher int/adv.
I am wondering to custom to keep it shorter or just go stock 6'0??
Thanks
@@TristanMead-j5v I like it a little shorter.
Great show.
@@brettsimpson2918 I never tried the Evo, but the Revo was just okay to me. The El Tomo Fish is great though!!
Loving the new Aipa Supernova category and the board looks amazing in action. When will this board be available to the public?
@@papamarban2185 It will be up on the Aipa website Monday at the latest. Hit Duke up and you can order it now.
Mini ghost is awesome (I ´Ve one in round tail, it works well in reef break…)
@@caveygilles Cheers for posting.
Nice video once again Noel, i was wondering why the G SKATE is not there once i thought you rated well right below the LOST 96 ?
@@Eduzeraventura The G Skate is fun but it’s not even a Favorite.
hi Noel, great video as usual! Can i ask you how you like the Micks Tape from Lost? Compared with RNF96? thanks a lot
@@enricoforza7 Sorry never tried that board.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 no problem, i had a couple of RNF96 last season in MX, like them but not my fovourite, i'll get a Micks Tape some as part of my quiver for this season. I'm very curious to try it
You gotta try the Pyzel The Flow twin fin ..... Best board I've ridden since my testing from 2006! Been surfing since 1978 .......
@@ThePokersurfer Sounds fun
Thanks for your channel! If possible, I would love to see you review the album plasmic twin!, because you always seem to give competent and honest feedback.
@@chadwelden8084 May Parker from Album said “ he doesn’t see the value” in our reviews. Sorry I tried to get some boards from him at the request of our community.
You rip! Great reviews on fun looking boards.
What happened the the Holy Hypto and the Cymatic?. Where would those boards fall in.
I think you need to give the Cymatic another go. Maybe try the Ibolic in volcanic construction and or the Revo. Your home break is a pool and they make the board in a wave Artificial wave Tech. Curious to hear your opinion on it.
For the daily driver I can’t beat my FireWire dom 2 even had it 8ft surf in hurricane beryl that board is the bomb
That is a great board, my only issue is how to prevent it from getting orange spots. Clean after every surf and keep it in a cool spot however the FireWire somehow gets orange.
@@MrJeanelgato The Dominator 2 is legit in my book too. It’s a nominee for the Best of the Best!!
@@dmt1739 yeah weird I know but I wrote an email to FireWire and they gave me a $300 discount on my boss up so pretty stoked

Hi Noel,
I’ve been riding Pyzalien for the last 10 years. Going up in liters with time(4 boards so far). At the moment I’m on a 5’11 (30lt) Pyzalien 2. think on going up again but first I’m gojng to buying a RNF 96. I live in the Basque Country and I weight 75kg/ 45 years old . What would be the approx correct sizes for a all around board ??
Noel, what FCS2 twin fin trailer setup would you recommend for the holy hypto?

Hi Noel, really enjoyed the video!
if I'm riding the black baron at 5'5 27.5 liters, (I'm 153 pounds) do you think I can ride a high performance shortboard that's 27 liters (thinking about the DHD juliette)
Tnx!

@@erickvpoul My brother Aarron shoots all the video from the beach with a Sony A7III camera and all water shots are done by Rob Henson Photography using the latest Go Pro.

Is that The Ripper in the double dart/black dart construction sitting in the stand for the "small wave performance board" category? Have you got any time on it in the water and if so, how has it been?
Absolutely… got some great clips on it so far. Pretty fun board. The Double Dart tech feeling pretty lively… now I’m riding the Light Speed Ripper. Stay Tuned!!
Noel, i really admire how you got back to full fitness after your total hip replacement. Do you feel that you are totally unencumbered and back to "normal "? Is there any rehab that you still need to do. Cheers. Jonathan
