The disruption forced many travelers to walk with their luggage in order to make it to their flights.

Why are these people allowed to block a major highway into an airport? The police should have arrived on scene and cleared the roadway. Everyone should have been arrested and they should have to pay restitution to the individuals and the airlines. Blocking a road is not a peaceful protest. A peaceful protest has to happen in a public space. Protesting is a protected act and it should be. Once you infringe on someone else’s rights it is no longer a peaceful protest

Sounds like you don’t know what protesting is. It’s not supposed to be a quiet event that people ignore. It’s supposed to be disruptive because how else will you create pressure? The most successful protests of this country occurred during the civil rights movement. You think those protests were all conveniently staged to not ruffle anyone’s feathers? No! People’s humanity and lives were on the line and they wanted as much people paying attention because that’s what ultimately leads to real substantive change.

One thing I learned after today, cops have blocked more lanes than any of the protesters.
This was a nationally organized protest. They also blocked the way to SeaTac (Seattle Tacoma International Airport) AND the Golden Gate Bridge. They are taking their anger out on the wrong people.
