Some tips:
1. Don't be afraid to launch a game again, sometimes it works on the second boot
2. If a game doesn't launch under handheld mode, try it on Docked mode.
3. If a game is REALLY stubborn you can always switch from NCE to the slower JIT.

I am getting 15fps in NFS hor pursuit remastered. I have it on 0.75x in handheld mode like you. Can you please share the full settings in each category? maybe screenshots in an imgur album or something? I cant figure out why my performance is so different. I am on v269 currently.

Excellent and well needed video. I find Yuzu to be an exceptional emulator. It’s madness that we are here now. With so many switch games playable and with the progress yuzu are making we will end up with a lot more playable by the end of the year.

I'd say around 2-3 hours. You might be able to get away with a lower performance setting for some of the games.
Will you do something similar for the non pro version? Maybe toss in some android games as well?

@@retrotechdad Gameplay ran perfectly. Dips a little during level changes (nothing new to emulation) some reason the "trailer" at the end of the demo runs really bad. But the opening video and gameplay all ran perfectly

Have you tried Egg NS? That emulator surprisingly has great compatibility
A detailed guide meant to emulate Switch games on an Android gaming handheld ends up being useful for other upper mid-range & flagship Dimensity-powered devices. Dimensity 8200 & 8300 devices can bump up the resolution of harder to run Switch titles slightly by 0.25x, whereas Dimensity 9000 & 9200 devices can run majority of Switch games at 1x native resolution with 0.75x native resolution for a handful of harder to run titles.

Exactly! I like documenting it and then going back and seeing if we get new games running or improved performance. I've seen quite a bit of that over the past year with Yuzu.
Theres other videos with switch games running well but they were using skyline instead of yuzu.
There's games that have gone from not even booting to fully running within 3 versions. They're working super fast
I got through almost the ENTIRE opening cut scene of TOTK before it crashes. Give it a month or so and who knows!
Switch emu kinda hard to play with dimensity.. They fully support snapdragon chipset

No, the latest releases shouldn't be too different. I did my testing with 235 but Yuzu development moves very fast and when I recorded that screen capture we were up to 245 already.
For Metroid Dread you can use Skyline Edge emulator and it runs almost perfectly, so far the only downside is that non in game videos do not show.

For me, Persona 5 Tactica crashes every time I try to do the Triple Threat attack (which is required a few missions in). Anyone know why that might be or is it just a hard blocker?

hmmmm, got Cruisin blast, latest Yuzu from github, rp4 pro set to high performance. Can't get past 45-50 fps on it at 0.5x but looks like you got far better performance. I wonder if my unit is underperforming, been having middling battery life since I got it too
That is weird. Cruis'n Blast has been one of the more consistent and better performing games in general.

Can't get Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 to work on YUZU with my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Seems like every other game works. Any help?
I have not tested that one yet, but it's very possible that it just won't work on the 4 Pro. Compatibility is improving almost daily.

It’s build 235. Make sure you’re in high performance with the smart fan setting. I recommend loading the Switch firmware as well, I used 16.1.0. 🙏

do the retroid pocket 4 pro test in pc games it can be any emulator that works better mali gpu and mediatek take any game it is possible to run well and other heavy games are 32bits and 64bits.

Yes, I mentioned in the video it's the only one I could personally get to run. I tested out Arceus, Brilliant Diamond, Sword, Shield, Violet, and Pokken Tournament.
Diablo 3 is almost perfect 60fps all the time on Skyline at 1.0x res
Skyline has always been good with Diablo 3, kinda interesting.

Persona 5 is playable. You need to set the accuracy level to high, set resolution to 0,75x & use performance mode
Super Mario U Deluxe will load to the "press L and R to start" screen then just goes blank after that

And yah all firmware and such installed. All my other games (and basically everything else you listed here) just seems to be this one specific game that won't launch. Which sucks because i was excited to play it 🤣
@@retrotechdad I swapped to the 16.1.0 firmware (was using the 17) and now it works fine. Seems to be an issue with the newer firmware

Snapdragon will always be better for Switch emulation because of custom drivers support. 🙏

Yes, you can override the emulation speed in advanced settings. It’s not quite an fps cap but does work.

You might be able to find 30fps mods for some popular games as well. I did that for legend of Zelda skyward sword, because without the 30fps the speed was all wonky

Emulation is getting kind of Impractical. I can understand Emulating NES, SNES and even N64 games. But once you get to Emulating Switch games....
I mean, you need three times the RAM and processing power to run the same game Emulated. That's 3 times the electricity and heat required to run the EXACT same software. Plus there's bugs with Emulation. Me? Imma stick to running games native. XD
