    Notes From the Designer:
•A wonderful and delightfully simple pattern! You'll have it memorized in no time.
•Although simple to make, the finished result is stunning. Choose any combination of colors - do stripes, a gradient, a solid - even choose variegated yarn for this pattern. It can handle it!
•I named it Muscadine as the colors and comfy yet stylish look reminded me of wandering through a vineyard, sampling the muscadine wine as the sun sinks over the mountains on a crisp day.
•You can't run out of yarn. Nope. The shawl gets bigger as you knit rows, so you can just stop when it's the size you want! No playing yarn chicken.
•I chose our lovely Oasis Camel Silk fingering weight yarn due to the drape, softness and luscious sheen. It's perfect for shawls like this as well as draping, elegant sweaters.

Just wanted to drop a note to say "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO." I have been crocheting for 45+ yrs and knitting for 30+ yrs and your vids have inspired me to consider purchasing a wheel to spin my own yarn. Goodness knows I have spent enough money on yarn all these years. I don't know how to read patterns, I create everything via sight and measurements and jot down instructions in my own lingo. I LOVE difficult, challenging projects, they keep me on my toes and my interest peaked as I learned how to crochet and knit from my Grandmother, she had a very limited education (she was born in 1905). Her skills were off the charts, BEAUTIFUL, what a talented visionary she was. I am blessed to have many of her ornate, PREFECT creations, I cherish them. I LOVE your channel! Keep doing what makes you happy :)

Hi Sarah, I'm not sure I understand your questions entirely. Which trim edge do you mean, the one with the yarn overs? The bind off edge will look differently depending on what kind of Bind Off you're using. If you're not sure about the look please google different bind off methods and choose the one that is to your liking. There are so many different ones available. Thanks for this splendid video. I started to knit this pattern yesterday and I'm not very satisfied with my work. As I knit, the "long" side of the triangle (where I put yarn over on the begin. of row and the end of the row) shapes like banana or a crescent. I try to pull the stich and the yarn more, but no effect. I wonder whether the other methods of increasing, explained in your other videos (using kfbf method, by increasing 3 st, or kfb method, by increasing 2 stiches) would do better, i.e. form a more loose edge? Thanks, wishing all the best...

    • @ExpressionFiberArts

Hi Dana, I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with how the increases look in your project. I've looked through the pattern and the increase method you can use to sub the one indicated in the pattern is kfb. Unfortunately the kfbf will not work because that one increases too many stitches at once and will make the shape very different from what is intended in this pattern.
I hope this makes sense. Have a lovely day!

Carole Martin you do not decrease. You keep increasing until you bind off.

I really love 💕 this one! I really think I will do this at my retreat I leave tomorrow 👏👏 so many options 😊 I haven’t done a Jenny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off but I could try I’m pretty knew to knitting 😊 so if this is a 2 row repeat it’s like an asymmetrical shawl? I think I can do that someone else asked where do you begin decreasing? Can I give you my email address ❤️

Its not a colour changing shawl , the colours dont change. I expected this was going to be a shadow knitting tutorial.
    Its nice though :)
