So needed to hear this today. 20 years sober but struggling with flour and sugar. Sugar addiction is no joke.

Same here. 04/01/89 but flour is my nemesis. BLE works. I have the same delusional thinking that I can control and enjoy my flour intake ie:NMF’s. I believe the lie and start grazing. Just like with alcohol I have clear bright lines so to I have to have with flour and sugar.

Susan, I listened to this today and it was SO helpful that I decided not to back out of the All Access program I bought. As of yesterday I was going to. I am going to listen to this many times I am sure. The “one day at a time” is a good reminder because I was feeling overwhelmed, and your explanation for why I could not see IN THE MOMENT of eating off plan that this is NOT really what I want, was so helpful. I always wondered with regret, how I could have done this AGAIN after I ate off plan and now I know why. My addictive brain can’t think straight in that moment. So, I have to do whatever it takes to get through that day. Thank you.

Thank you Susan! I’ve been following BLE for 2 days under 8 months. 100% complaint with the Lines and feeling so much better, physically and mentally (despite some huge challenges). I had made those major commitments to myself many times, and usually broken them within hours. This time was very different. I reached a place where I was ready, just so done with how bad I felt and your scientific explanation resonated with my prior experiences. I don’t know if this is necessary- to have had a lengthy diet history of failures to have an understanding of what worked and what didn’t work and to get to that point of never again, something has to drastically change permanently, or not, but that’s where I was. I love the spot in the food journal to initial every day, attest to the fact that I will follow my menu for the day, as written and that it will be enough; it’s that daily pause to remind myself and resolve that today is a Bright day, no matter what.

I ran across BLE by chance in july. I did it for the month of July and it was wonderful.
After vacation I fell off and I can't get back. It is so frustrating. I bought the membership and the journals. It's like I can't get my mind to do it although I want to. 😩
I really do believe in ble.
    Thanks for all u do.

Food addiction is so hard… sometimes it takes what it takes… stay close to the mother ship… get a buddy and mastermind group and just be kind to you. I have quit smoking and I’m telling you- food is harder. What it takes to surrender this addiction is going counterculture to what’s accepted in our family and society at large. It’s not about the weight only - it’s a lot of habits and behaviors that take time to build. You got this- stay close ❤️

We are here to support you! We recommend to be active in your home room, writing in your journal, creating a mastermind group with friends who do BLE, and/or talking to coaches!

@@amy2284 It’s not just the food battles, but also the social circumstances and our fear of not “ offending” anyone with our weighing and measuring of foods and the volume of required vegetables . At least ,this is true of my battles that I am learning with which to deal !

    • @amy2284
      @amy2284 2 года назад +1

@@sherryseher7736 yes that is why it’s the hardest.. and what SPT talks about getting a BLE tribe is so helpful. I have several now so my desire to adhere to the plan is stronger. I found joining Gideon groups and mastermind groups really helps in that struggle. I no longer find it is best for me to break my lines in order to appease one set of friends and family because it will let my buddy and and other BLE groups down. It’s a positive peer pressure 👍🏻. This all takes time and just willingness - I was totally shy at first. Now I weigh and measure with confidence which I got from those groups. The vegetables - I did it slowly and have seen another BLE friend start with 6-6, 8-8, then now 10-10. So worth it❤️

@@amy2284 I no longer wish to appease family and friends on my choice of foods because it lets ME down when I do . No one ever comes to me and asks my permission as to what they are choosing to eat ! I just saw a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that goes something like this : do what your heart tells you , because you’ll get criticized for it anyway ! We’ll never be able to please everyone , so do what you believe in first !

I have been struggling every since my boot camp ended over a yr and a half. I have not walked away I committed at the beginning to NOT DIET HOP and stick this out. However everyday I'm at war with this. I have plateaued and been holding at my original goal weight. I let go of planning and gratitude and all the things that were helping but I've held onto the eating plan even through grieving the loss of my son.
I need coaching, I need help figuring out what my body actually NEEDS verses caving into the voice of "I want" I want more even before Ive made the meal my brain goes hay wire with this as I'm slowly eating my brain still wants more. Ive been doing little things against my desire to be healthy happy and free. I need to start exercising but also do not know how to do the caloric changes And I need the help with that. I also got a clean bill of health in cholesterol and diabetes and BMI however diagnosed with an enlarged heart and underactive thyroid. There for I am assuming the plateau is related to this issue. On top of some choice that were not honoring my true desire. Recently I have been eating more on point but " I want" is still in the driver's seat. I believe I want is the deprived 3 yr old in me that's use to being fed to shut her up. Not to sound rude there but honestly that's how I was treated as a child so it makes sense to me.
I'm gonna get my membership back I need it I need support to make the changes I need to make. Susan you have changed my life and I am eternally grateful when my son TRANSITIONED I felt like I had nothing however my food plan is so much apart of my life now I still ate my foods and stayed the course this is a major foundation and has blessed me and been my lifeline, like it's the only constant I've had, it's the foundation of me today, I did not want to destroy what I started and have done over the past 2 yrs in BLE. I had nothing to cling to except my eating habits in the past I would have ate until I made myself sick I don't want to go backwards. Ty for all you do.

I’m very grateful for the book. I’ve lost 104 pounds just doing what the book said.
And then….you monetized everything, which is your right, but you SCREWED OVER PEOPLE WHO HAD ALREADY PAID for information that was supposed to be available for life!!!!!!! You should see the online vitriol directed at THAT!!!! It’s left a very bad taste in people’s mouths. You effectively did a bait and switch. It crushes my heart, because I so desperately want to help people find food freedom.
I can’t, in good conscience, ask anyone to watch any Weekly Vlogs where you’re flogging membership. 😔
