Easily the best episodes of the season yet. A Clone Rebellion is now pretty much imminent and I believe that's going to be the overall goal of this series or this season. While it won't be on Kamino sadly, it's still going to happen now. Most likely Rex, Echo, and, hopefully, Cody will be leading that effort to save their brothers and fight against the Empire. Saying goodbye to Echo wasn't really surprising in hindsight. He's expressed throughout this season how annoyed he is with these small jobs for Cid and how the BB need to fight back. I'm hoping this is a sign that the BB are going to soon break away from Cid and go onto bigger and better things because they can't keep doing these things for Cid forever. Palpatine himself was so good in this episode and reminds us all how strategic and cunning he is. No matter what the outcome was, he was getting the Stormtrooper Program he wanted. If the evidence wasn't shown, he'd still get it. When the evidence WAS shown, he twisted the whole revelation to his favor and got the Senate to give in to what he wants. Rampart's fate, I'm willing to bet, is to become one of the first Death Troopers or Dark Troopers prototypes as punishment for his failure in keeping the Kamino bombardment a secret. This is who Palpatine is; someone who's always five steps ahead of everyone else and has numerous backup plans. Great set of episodes and I'm hoping next week it continues on.
Best reason of how we don't see many clones during the Rebellion. It makes sense that old palps was afraid he'd no longer have control of em. And yes, this has most definitely got me watching bad batch again. For a while, I was a whole lot of disappointed in it. But its just like watching season one of the CW where it was made for children and grew into a darker and more murky cartoon series. Love it

Simple but effective; Palpatine's mind is like maze, he is so paranoid and intelligent that he makes plans for almost every outcome. Great two part episodes this week.
i LOVE how rex pulls back the mask on the assassin to reveal he was a clone. Very nice callback to episode 5 when luke cuts off “Vader’s” head in the cave on dagobah and his mask breaks revealing luke’s face. Thought that was a great touch from the writers adding to the division between clone brothers who fight for or against the empire.
I’m gonna be so mad if Cody died cause of Rampart. And the best Bad Batch episodes involved heavily on clones. This is what Bad Batch should be a revenge against the empire which I’m hoping to see clones vs stormtroopers like in Battlefront 2
@@triple-d2640 depends on numbers. One on one Clones are better no doubt. But Stormtroopers in canon are still very accurate (yes I know it sounds weird but what do you expect when in the OT they were firing at the main characters, in Andor in the final episode we saw how accurate they were) and with numbers, their better/advanced weapons, and better/advanced war strategies they’d defeat the clones pretty easily actually. Stormtroopers get too much disrespect.
@Donovan Pitts I'm not saying the stormtroopers are just dumb. But we're talking about ordinary soldiers vs clones of Jango fett who are trained for war from birth
79s cantina was so lively with clones in the clone wars. You can really see how the empire ruling has changed the clones overall vibe, just a small thing.
Easily the best two episodes of the season. This shows me they can world build while deepening the overarching story. Star Wars needs this quality of story telling for a full season
I like to imagine that the drop in quality from clone troopers to stormtroopers can all be traced back to an extra in “A New Hope” hitting his helmet on the doorframe
I absolutely love both of these episodes. It's bittersweet to see that Echo's arc is going on full circle so far. Towards the end of the Clone Wars series, he leaves Rex to join the bad batch and then in TBB S2, he leaves that squad to reunite with Rex and join him to form a clone rebellion.
You see this is peak of clone wars/bad batch content. You get everything I love about the two. The politics, espionage, war and the interesting look on these clones. I really hope they keep this stuff going.
I think we all knew Palpatine was coming by the end of episode 8 but the fact that he finally revealed that he would be phasing clones for stormtroopers was chills!
HOLY SHIT! That was amazing! No Cid, no boring filler. Just new lore and an incredible story. More of this please! Easily the best in the series so far
@@matthewflores4183 oh definitely, I just wanted to point out that it makes much more sense that people were letting a veteran of the clone wars go by the wayside and no one else gave anything to him in the context that palpatine manipulated people into thinking that clone troopers were dangerous and committed genocide just because for funsies
I was an advocating for the show really, just pointing out that a plot point makes more sense with this context, although I doubt that it was planned, it's neat that it lines up
Personally really happy to see Riyo, she's one of my favorite characters/leaders introduced in TCW. And gotta love how slippery-slimy ol' Palps is with that save, the man still got what he wanted.
I wonder if the Kaminoan funds went to whatever the Empire is doing on Mount Tantiss. Anyways love seeing episodes like these and I love watching the breakdowns!
These two eps, were great, world building and actually we feel for Omega and Echo when they separate, finally adds humanity to them a bit more, and seeing palps a bit was cool, not to much not to little, things are better in moderation, and overall great
Great Breakdown, but one thing - I don't recall from TCW that Papanoida was Chuchi's father... He had his own two daughters that were kidnapped and later rescued, but Chuchi was just a senator (an advisor to a senator before that)that was representing Pantora in the Senate :)
I think that Palpatine had many plans on how to get the senate to vote for stormtroopers and the get rid of the clones now Palpatine went with what was presented in the senate wich served his purpose. Palpatine is the very definition of patience and keeping it cool, he just wait things out to get his way.
Man hearing all your theory makes this recap of the show makes it so good and excellent breakdown these two parts of episode from beginning middle and end is something I wish we could have more.
This show is so frustrating because they can’t decide on what they want to do. They have episodes like this and then next week they’ll turn around and have another treasure hunting episode with Phee
I don't get why it's so bad that they have both. They can explore the characters and keep it lighthearted and then do episodes where they build the star wars universe and make it darker
@@gware11 the probem for me at least is that in thouse "treasure hunting" the batch usally takes the suporting role of the episode instead of the lead. a lot of the time they feel like special guests on their own show.
@@gware11 Exactly what happened with Clone Wars and Rebels, but people pretend it didn't. They had episodes r2d2 and c3po going to magical planets in the same season as umbara and Darth Maul Returning.
That's how it has been for ALL Star Wars shows; Including the Clone Wars, Rebels and Mandalorian. Clone Wars especially would go from a brutal episode to fun silly droids or Jar jar episodes.
Hey SWT, I nearly didn't catch it, but Slip had said just before that Clone assassin got to him that he had backed up all the logs on a secondary drive so that even if they wiped the logs, Slip ensured that the evidence was still available.
These two episodes were really good, definitely an ARC that was really interesting and with all the secrecy and running around Coruscant it really felt like TCW again. I've been hoping a Clone Rebellion would happen and now it seems that it's fast approaching. I hope we get to see more of this along with the clone assassin and information about them and finally we get to see more of Echo and Rex and what they are up to.
Much better episodes. Not sure I believe that they would let omega to wander into the capital but otherwise great. Echo leaving for me is the door opening for crosshair to come back. Sidious brilliant again
If they start to eliminate the clones, you’d imagine trust in Crosshair would fall in that as well. I could see the empire turning against Crosshair, causing him to finally come back to the BB
Episodes 7 and 8 is really what Andor should have looked like! The discussion in the senate for these episodes was amazing, and the story was awesome! Sucks we didn’t get that in Andor…
Loved the episodes! I think these are some of the best of Bad Batch so far. Super excited for more to come! Senator Chuchi is not related to Chairman Papanoida. Her name is Reyo Chuchi.
To be honest I really didnt expect them to go through with Echo leaving the Batch. I mean its was forseeable, but I really did not think that they would actually do it
to me it just feels like the writers didnt know what to do with him so they wrote him out of the show... but at least they gave him closure instead of just killing him off or smt
I think Echo paid his debt to the Bad Batch for saving him on Skako Minor and is now returning the favor for Rex and joining him again like he used to.
Seeing palpatine rise up in the senate is no doubt the best part of the whole season so far. Senators trying to save the clones only to be played right into palpatines hands giving rise to the stormtroopers.
Rewatching these episodes I just came to appreciate even more how much of a genius Kevin Kiner is. The palpatine theme is obvious but if you go to the moment that Senator Chuchi is first shown they throw it all the way back to when she negotiates with the Talz in season 1 of TCW. It’s subtle but just so impressive
After watching these, it really makes me appreciate the rebels more and how much effort it REALLY took to bring down Palpatine and his empire. He had manipulated everyone in multiple ways, all while somehow masking his extreme dark side aura, for decades. Well done :)
5:20 You're forgetting that Omega also doesn't have accelerated aging because while she is an altered clone because of her obvious gender swap, she still has pure Jango DNA like Boba.
In the 79's bar scene in ep. 7 you can see Tech racing in the background. Seems it is being shown on Coruscant. So much for anonymity for the Bad Batch :D
rampart: i wont fail this, im so confident (later) palpatine: you have failed me for the last time, at least the program has now passed because of me like i have foreseen
I wish every episode could tie into the larger story like this. The quality is so much higher in these episodes than in the 1 off filler episodes that don't move the story at all. And for the people crying "world building" or whatever you can and should do both.
Ok so i wasn't crazy. they did release 2 episodes and i didn't just forget a week. Great to see Chuchi is still around. Always good to see senators besides Bail being not terrible. Very interested where they take all the clones from here on out. My own personal opinion. I have enjoyed every episode of this season so far bar the treasure hunting one. And i really like how despite this being called the Bad Batch, its actaully a method of seeing the galaxy post order 66 but pre rebellion proper
I really liked those 2 episodes. These were the kinda episodes we want. And since Echo is out of the Bad Batch, I wonder if they’ll make another spinoff series with Echo and Rex, maybe in that show, it’ll tell us how Rex found Wolffe, and I wonder if Cody would come back to the Bad Batch, or be in that spin-off series if possible Edit: Now looking back at this comment, I don’t think it’ll happen

@@triple-d2640 Ik and I’m saying depending on the circumstances and numbers the Stormtroopers would crush the Clones.
79s cantina was so lively with clones in the clone wars. You can really see how the empire ruling has changed the clones overall vibe, just a small thing.
man i loved these, leaving echo was fair enough but i felt there could’ve been so much more character development for echo these past two seasons
I agree. Hopefully now that he's with rex we can get some work on his character. I suspect Echo will be dead by the time of the rebellion tho sadly
@@adrielvega5432 I was thinking the same thing as we don’t see him with wolffe, Rex, or Gregor in rebel, I’m sure he’ll die off
Easily the best two episodes of the season. This shows me they can world build while deepening the overarching story. Star Wars needs this quality of story telling for a full season
Releasing the two eps at the same time was one of the best decisions they've made. They're just so good.
I like to imagine that the drop in quality from clone troopers to stormtroopers can all be traced back to an extra in “A New Hope” hitting his helmet on the doorframe
RIP Slip and Cade, you will be missed
I absolutely love both of these episodes. It's bittersweet to see that Echo's arc is going on full circle so far. Towards the end of the Clone Wars series, he leaves Rex to join the bad batch and then in TBB S2, he leaves that squad to reunite with Rex and join him to form a clone rebellion.
I hope we see a clone rebellion as the finale for this show
I’m sure they’ll be a nice one
These kinds of episodes always leave me on edge cause I know it won't end well no matter the heroes efforts.
Such banging episodes. I loved being there for this watch party!
Love how Palpatine did casually throw Rampart under the bus.
Masterclass.
If I heard Slip correctly, Rampart did alter the logs. But Slip/Cade made a backup copy of the real events and hid it.
HOLY SHIT! That was amazing! No Cid, no boring filler. Just new lore and an incredible story. More of this please! Easily the best in the series so far
I loved these episodes. This also plays into why the clone trooper in obi wan kenobi show was homeless and sitting alone on the streets.
not the obi wan show...it could have been something better
@@matthewflores4183 oh definitely, I just wanted to point out that it makes much more sense that people were letting a veteran of the clone wars go by the wayside and no one else gave anything to him in the context that palpatine manipulated people into thinking that clone troopers were dangerous and committed genocide just because for funsies
I was an advocating for the show really, just pointing out that a plot point makes more sense with this context, although I doubt that it was planned, it's neat that it lines up
It also adds to Obi-wan's reaction to the trooper
@@matthewflores4183bro at least contribute to what this person is saying, don’t need to bring up the quality of something every single time
Those episodes were amazing. Absolutely nailed the story for the transition from clones the stormtroopers
Personally really happy to see Riyo, she's one of my favorite characters/leaders introduced in TCW. And gotta love how slippery-slimy ol' Palps is with that save, the man still got what he wanted.
“And so they go to the Martez sister’s garage who aren’t around, thankfully.” Lol
I wonder if the Kaminoan funds went to whatever the Empire is doing on Mount Tantiss. Anyways love seeing episodes like these and I love watching the breakdowns!
These two eps, were great, world building and actually we feel for Omega and Echo when they separate, finally adds humanity to them a bit more, and seeing palps a bit was cool, not to much not to little, things are better in moderation, and overall great
We need more of these episodes! This feels like SW. Absolutely brilliant
Yeah i agree it is very frustrating honestly
Me when I see rampart:
Hello, welcome to los pollos harmanos, you may call me gus
It was great to see coruscant again and to see that it doesn’t change that much after like 5 years of war.
Finally something happen in season 2. These past few episodes have been a slog to get through.
@whatsa711 Yea right buddy !
Imagene having a such generic name like ryan
@@TheRebornJuker why are you so hurt by someones opinion
@@Dylan-iq7iz ok "dylan" because its a shit opinion.. It literally has the same formula as clone wars
Excellent episodes. We needed this level of amazing the whole season. So great to see Senator Chuchi again after all this time.
True
Palpatine was already building the Death Star for a few years during The Bad Batch. We see him build it in the end of ROTS.
Loved the episodes! I think these are some of the best of Bad Batch so far. Super excited for more to come! Senator Chuchi is not related to Chairman Papanoida. Her name is Reyo Chuchi.
These were some.powerful episodes my god the godly like entrance of the emperor him taking one thing turning it into another unreal
And we can see how Emperor Palpatine twists everything up lol. Both episodes were AMAZING. Echo will have a great journey with Captain Rex.
@whatsa711 Bros trying to scam me LOL.
Except Echo isn't with him in Rebels, so Echo dies at some point before that
@@DS9TREK Yea that is true. Or maybe Echo leaves rex and joins a different rebel cell.
Probably the best episodes of the entire series.
I love Coruscant so much. My fav SW planet.
16:30 this feels like a Smurfette is hugging, clumsy.
Palpatine playing 5D chess in these two episodes
Seeing palpatine rise up in the senate is no doubt the best part of the whole season so far. Senators trying to save the clones only to be played right into palpatines hands giving rise to the stormtroopers.
I’m pretty sure in the episode either Cade or Slip created a back up, and Rampart thought he deleted the footage of Kamino
Yeah that’s exactly what happened he had a back up on the ship
Rewatching these episodes I just came to appreciate even more how much of a genius Kevin Kiner is. The palpatine theme is obvious but if you go to the moment that Senator Chuchi is first shown they throw it all the way back to when she negotiates with the Talz in season 1 of TCW. It’s subtle but just so impressive
Hey Theory i am pretty sure Rampart did doctor the files since they mentioned that Slip backed up the file somewhere
These episodes were INCREDIBLE. Every episode should be as good as this!
Excellent writers. Loved Palpatine's exegesis.
9:50 The clone that got shot had hidden a copy in the backup memory of the Venator. Even if Rampart falsified the main log the backup was still there
They both felt like they belonged in the clone wars series as opposed to the Bad batch. But that felt like a good thing.
So much for anonymity for the Bad Batch :D
rampart: i wont fail this, im so confident
(later)
palpatine: you have failed me for the last time, at least the program has now passed because of me like i have foreseen
Great episodes, hope this season continues this quality from now on. No more filler, give us a clone rebellion.
There's no such thing as filler
These two episodes were amazing
Rampart did alter the logs - the ones the Bad Batch retrieved was a backup made by Slip/Cade
I wish every episode could tie into the larger story like this. The quality is so much higher in these episodes than in the 1 off filler episodes that don't move the story at all. And for the people crying "world building" or whatever you can and should do both.
1:45 I think Shu Mai was killed by Vader on Mustafar, so I'm guessing that's just a different representative of the Commerce Guild ;)
@whatsa489 no you're not, get the f outta here with your bot BS
I really liked those 2 episodes. These were the kinda episodes we want. And since Echo is out of the Bad Batch, I wonder if they’ll make another spinoff series with Echo and Rex, maybe in that show, it’ll tell us how Rex found Wolffe, and I wonder if Cody would come back to the Bad Batch, or be in that spin-off series if possible
Edit: Now looking back at this comment, I don’t think it’ll happen
6:50 I think the clone assassin is a Spaarti clone
Can’t believe Echo gone..hope he make his way back to the squad in the future
I have a feeling this is where he's going to die
It seemed like he was ignored during season 1 and this season so far so it makes sense to send him off with Rex
never spotted George in his prequels but Producer Rick McCallum and sound designer Ben Burtt in the closing scene of Phantom Menace were easy to spot.
Palpatine is a genius
