@@annuitcptis1447 Maybe, because he had one in the first episode so it had to be either from the explosion or anything before that. However, the way crosshair phrased it, it seems that he voluntarily removed it so, who knows?
What did Cody say: "If someone comes to our home, they better be carrying a big blaster." I don't think anyone could have imagined that it would be the Clones themselves carrying the blasters.
What a great comment honestly. Hits hard. I’m pretty young and saw clone wars before I started watching the movies I was super sad when Cody followed order 66.
Well.......he kind of did😞. Its kind of a anakin vs kenobi way of speaking. "If you are not with me, then you are my enemy" plus didnt in episode 1 said that crosshair's chip fused with his personality?
The sheer potential this show has is astounding. The places it could go, the characters it could introduce. Would love to see imperial era Coruscant or a scene between Vader and Rex. Either way season two is going to be insane.
Mandalore, clones were helping Bo Katan police and establish government when order 66 drops. Still need to find out about Wolf. First Black Suit reveal of Vader to the Galaxy. Saw Gererra still out there. Creation of the resistance. Ashoka Inquisitors Grogu, out there somewhere Crimson Dawn
For the fans who has watched since the beginning of the clone wars, watching the kaminoan facilities getting destroyed really is emotional, the scenery showing the empty mess hall, bunkers bring back all those clone wars moments. It is this episode that signifies the true end to the clone wars and marking the beginning to the empire. F to pay respect to Kamino, and shoutout to all those who are reading this comment.
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
The scene where they showed the rooms on kamino before the bombardment was like a last glimpse before the depressing end of a nostalgic era of clones . All those moments will be lost in time, like… tears in rain
I loved the way they handled Crosshair’s anger here. Most movies and shows are like, “you abandoned me and now I’m going to get revenge!” Rather than doing that, though, you get him saying that he isn’t going to do to others what Hunter did to him. It shows some light to his character because it takes a lot to look at things that way.
@@elihernandez330 wdym? Empire don’t need or want clones anymore, and they don’t want other ppl to get their hands on cloning equipment. So yeah why not destroy everything.
I think it’s crazy how Fives literally pointed out the inhibitor chips in the incubation chamber all those years ago. Crazy they gave us one last look!
@@blue_smoke87wot75 no I’m talking way back in the clone wars when he went crazy and literally found the chips in all clones! There’s an episode on Camino where he locates all the chips in the clones (they literally glow red)
@@blueboi4280 ya i know. But in this video he calls echo fives. And shows the scene of echo blowing up. Fives was the one that survived and found out the most out of anyone about sidious's plot before he died. Great trooper. My 2nd favorite after Rex. I have his figure. Almost got the whole sqaud
I think there's two big reasons why Crosshair couldn't contact them before: - They scrambled their ship's signal, so Crosshair couldn't just get on the phone anymore. He could only talk to them when he was close by and knew which comm channels they were using. - Even if he could talk to them, he never had an opportunity to talk to them privately. There were always TK troopers in the vicinity who would hear it and report him, meaning he wouldn't get to serve the Empire like he wanted. We even saw how that played out this episode, they immediately went against his orders and he had to kill them. His only option was to manipulate them into a confrontation where they would surrender without a shot being fired.
Loved how they showed the clone facility fully empty. No more clones were being made and it was just dead silent. That was a sad scene cause it was truly the end of the clone wars.
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
When I saw the city getting destroyed was actually much more emotional than I would’ve thought. My heart felt heavy. The music over the destruction was perfection as well.
@@andyb6400 I’m all for calling out BS that’s just acts as fan service or a way to play our emotional cords as fanboys. This isn’t one of them. It makes sense for Kamino to get destroyed, we see throughout the season clones defecting and Kaminoans getting hesitant about their partnership (or lack thereof) with the Empire. Even ignoring the Bad Batch series as a whole, we know that human recruits eventually make up the Empire from the OT, it is hugely in character for Palpatine and the Empire to dispose of something when it has no further use to them; I think a highly technological society which has the capability to create a super-human army that could butt heads with the Empire is #1 on Palpatine’s list at this time to get rid of. And the cherry on top, following this train of thought in Legends there already was a Kaminoan revolt showing the Empire and Kamino/clones were inevitably going to be at odds.
What I enjoyed was watching how echo basicly took control of the operation as hunter was captured, you could see him take point and lead them forward while heading thru the buldings on kamino. It feels fitting that he would sort of try to control the situation giving his backround as an arc trooper.
I recall how they fought to defend Kamino in TCW against the Seperatists, as their home, as brothers. And now in Imperial uniforms using the very blue laser Republic starships, they are destroying it themselves so easily with no resistance...
I wonder if she knew them when they were kids? They had accelatered growth and it would make sense if she knew them when they were "her age" before they went to train
honestly the idea that clones have accelerated aging and have been alive for not musch more than 13 or 14 years really saves the series for me, when omega is being wiser or emotionally more mature than them sometimes it makes me remember that these elite supersoldiers have been alive for less than two decades, so they really dont have that much life expirience
More like any. You also have to keep in mind, most of their lives revolves around warfare. They rarely had lives outside of war, so generally life experience outside of a battle was fairly minimal.
I didn't even pick up on Omega telling them she is older than them, but is physically younger. That means she either ages at half the rate of normal humans, or the Kaminoans had a way of giving her the enhanced aging, then could go back and reduce her aging below normal rates. If that is true, it opens the possibility of one of those cloners being able to return any of the Clone Troopers to a normal aging rate.
@@rosesweetcharlotte then that means someone did their math wrong. If the Batch is the same age as most of the other clones, they are between 10 and 13 years old. She doesn't seem to be much older than that, maybe 15 or 16. So how does she have memories of them being born if she was 2 or 3 years old?
@Devillin Some claim that one can’t have memories from their first 2 years (numbers vary, some say 5 but that’s crazy) but I can safely say that I remember things from when I was 2,5 or so. This means there’s a slight chance she might be the age you said she is and remembers them. My own guess is that she was among the first clones of Jango and might be a bit older even.
Imagine visiting the ruins of tipoca city in the mandalorian s3, or in ahsoka or kenobi or something. It was sad seeing it get destroyed but it could lead to some really cool scenes in the future.
Captain CT-2843: _"Look there, Private... a pretty haunting sight, eh?"_ Private TK-0217: _"Uh, it's just open water sir, like the whole planet."_ Captain CT-2843: _"Right but somewhere down there is the ruin of Tapioca City"_ Tapioca
The way crosshair is acting shows he doesn’t have his chip and is acting on his own accord, he wouldn’t have gone so hard to join the empire and go after his brothers only to give them a chance to join him in the end killing his squad, as we can see by the example of wrecker when his chip kicked in and he tried killing his brothers cause they were against the empire
Watching Kamino be destroyed was like watching the bombardment of Taris from KOTOR, but this one hits so much harder. We've seen Kamino, the clones who grew, trained, and defended the planet they called home. The still shots of the empty facility is haunting and feels like the place is on the last gasp of breath before it dies. The really sad thing is that it wasn't humans who destroyed the planet, but it was the clones; the same clones who fought and defended Kamino during the war just turned on their planet without hesitation. I'm hoping Crosshair sees how the Empire "values" important clones now. He's so close to redemption but needs one last push. Let's hope that next time he does finally give up on the Empire and the squad is finally united and back at full strength.
Kamino getting wrecked was nostalgic, with a mix of sad and a little joy, since the long necks were cruel to the clones Taris getting wrecked to me was like: "yeah, take it you xenophobic snobs lmao" but also sad cause the lower level and all the innocents
@@xxvaltielxx1789 yeah, I wasn't fond of Taris with its humancentric vision and treating aliens like shit; that and the planet in KOTOR took so long to get through. But those on the lower levels definitely didn't deserve the fate they got. I just loved the little callback to KOTOR with the scene on Kamino.
One way that would make this much more sad. During the bombardment, it cuts to the area where 99 was shot and killed during the Battle of Kamino, with red lights flashing just like S3, as the roof caves in, playing a track similar to 99's death but in the format of the bombardment theme.
This episode was actually scary and sad and depressing. Kamino is where the entire clone wars started. And this is where it ended for me. Kamino was my favorite planet. It broke my heart.
Yeah,I have flashbacks of the clones living in there, especially the cantina fight in eps.1.It made me really sad in that scene that shows how empty and lifeless it has become :(
Those scenes of the empty facilities felt like an homage to Kamino. A very important planet in which its end truly marks the end of the Clone era in Star Wars. I got pretty emotional watching the Venators firing down on the city. By clones no less!
@WolfsBane ok. I wasn’t sure but I guess that means at least some clones are loyal to the Empire and the chips are still working. The empire will need them for occupation duties throughout the galaxy
Crosshair is a character that chose the "bad" side by himslef without the chip interfering, and I really hope Howzer is the parallel character, who even tho still has his chip, can still decide to stand againt senseless orders (as long as they dont interfere with Order 66) that would be a great touch
Howzer appears to have an non op chip. At least that's what I believe. He doesn't act or look like he is being controlled by one. As for Cross, he didn't choose anything. No Clone did. The chips were put in & did what they were created to do. Complete Mind Control. Whether a Clone fought it or not, the chip was always going to engage, at some point. Rex, Crosshair & Wrecker. Cross was NOT like this pre chip, in Season 7. Had no problems with his squad. Never would do them harm. It was just with the Regular Clones. Even Tech pointed out in Aftermath, that they were never friendly, pre order. Hence this is why Crosshair gave Rex & Co a hard time.
@@clankers8929 I don't know I've thought from the beginning the role of Howzer was to show a clone still under the control of the chip, but yet stating his opinion. His chip told him to win the war for the Republic, and that Jedi are traitors. But there is no Jedi involved on Ryloth and he just witnesses the fact that the Empire actually commits treason against Syndulla, the man he helped for years during the Clone Wars. And that is why he convinced some of jis men to follow him. Order 66 was not infringed and his chip still controls his behavior towards Jedi, but he still had the freedom to realize the Empire is the opposite of the Republic he used to fight for. I'm kinda frustrated people talk about a malfunctioning chip with Howzer, but maybe they're right
I’m glad they acknowledged this. One of my biggest complaints is how they didn’t have a goal they were trying to reach. They said in either episode 2 or 3 that’s they “get crosshairs back” but do nothing to make progress in that goal.
The way Crosshair was acting I kind of said to myself "I bet his chip is out. He's definitely acting by himself." And I thought to myself. Without the chip the clones have a choice of what they do. What about a clone who willingly chose to support the Empire? I love a curveball like that and I think that's an awesome story to explore.
Hm well I'm pretty sure Howzer still has his chip in, as do the clones who dropped their weapons to join Howzer. So I believe Crosshair still has his chip in but the imperials lied to him and said that they removed it, making Crosshair believe that his loyalty to the empire is genuine.
@@Unchainedmaple888 We’ve seen the Chip takes away a clones identity and makes them totally obedient. Even slave like. I really don’t think Howser has his chip.
Legitimately teared up when the shots of the empty barracks and mess hall started showing. Dave filoni and crew managed to get more emotion out of me for the destruction of an uninhabited facility than any of the sequels could manage.
Yeah pretty wild how a 1 min. Scene of a few buildings getting destroyed in a spin-off animated show can bring out more emotions than the last 5 full length movies combined together could do.
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
This truly marks the end of an era. Depressing to see the home of the clones being destroyed. It makes me feel as if the clone army is truly on its last legs.
They are already dead. Their purpose is now being relegated to training human recruits; not clones. The last batch of young clones we saw last week may see some action, but the clone army is already dead. The humans have all but taken over now.
I think that the alterations to crosshairs chip did possibly more than just "fix" it and possibly program him to be undyingly loyal to the empire and possibly make him believe he was doing it under his own free will by thinking he had removed it.
Nah, I think for the thing about crosshair's chip to have been taken out is more interesting (painful) but more interesting. It adds more tension between him and the bad batch, plus adding more complexity to his character.
The sad part here it’s that all those clones who fought and died in the Battle of Kamino died for nothing, 99, Colt, Havoc… the clones have the most sad history in all Star Wars if you ask me
He was dropped off at Syd's. The squad thought it best to keep him out of their dilemma. He has been through enough I would think. Gregor probably needed to decompress & rest up.
We know she has no accelerated aging, she's just like boba. Makes sense for her to be a year younger than the alpha at least. Great episode, series has gone above and beyond for me as a massive clone wars fan. F
Do you mean unaltered aging? Not trying to sound like a smart ass, I genuinely want to know if you mean something different. I thought boba and omega were both completely unaltered clones, meaning they age just like a regular human being
Thank you. It's confused me for a while why so many people still don't seem to know that she doesn't have accelerated aging when we were literally told in-show that she is an "unaltered clone of Jango" (even though she's female, so clearly she's not "unaltered"?)
I think he was saying she might be the opposite of clones and have a slower aging process, like being a child for ever or atleast a long time compared to normal aging.
Crosshair is deluded if he thinks that the Empire wouldn't turn on him eventually. Most likely directly because he's better than the TK troopers. He's more of a threat.
Exactly. He's an elite trooper. Far more competent than a Stormtrooper. The Empire would get rid of him eventually once they had no use for him. Likely send him on a suicide mission where he's guaranteed to die.
Well, no one's perfect. Naivete. But he will now won't he. His brothers will inform him as much. And if he doesn't believe them, they can always do a fly over of where the city used to be. Hunter was unaware of the Kaminoan programming of the "Regs," aka inhibitor chips. That is until Tech informed him. The team saw this in action when Wrecker "broke bad," thus succumbing to the overwhelming effect of his chip. And as with the Empire, one can quickly fall out of favor. Or become a liability. With Crosshair it was his loyalty to Clone Force 99. Justifiably. Tarkin will most likely get rid of Rampart, since he is becoming competitive. And with Tarkin this is just not acceptable. Let's not forget what he did to Director Krennic on Scarif. Similar type of situation. Only time will tell, but I think it will go down in Season 2.
When Crosshair said to Hunter : “don’t be my enemy”, it really reminded me of Anakin and Obi Wan on Mustafar before the duel. (Also, did Lama Su die ?)
It’s probably not a coincidence that the John Williams theme we hear the first time we go to Kamino is the same theme when it’s the last time we go there.
The oldest that omega can be is 14 given that jango Fett became the cloning template in 32bby and this takes place in what I’m assuming is 18bby since ROTS was near the end of 19bby and crosshair stating that his chip had been out for “a long time”. So she has no aging modifications, she’s just a 14 year old girl.
What confused me is when crosshair told hunter something like “you never came back for me” or something like that I was thinking to myself well you did try to kill them several times they also thought you had an inhibitor chip and how are they even supposed to find you
@@zacsmith2026 even though he wanted to leave, I think that meant leaving the path of the bad batch to join the empire, not necessarily leaving his brothers. I'm sure deep down crosshair wanted the bad batch to follow him.
Amazing how the destruction of Tipoca city was more emotional than anything in the Sequels. From the mysterious planet in episode 2 to the home planet of so many of our favourite characters, it was sad to see it destroyed but works perfectly for setting up the Empire we see in the OT. Well done Disney!
Kamino’s destruction had such Taris vibes. Iconic in so many ways. Felt sad and…thought for the clones, ”it’s ironic, they could save other homeworlds from death, but not their own”
It really meant a lot to me when they had the Obi-Wan landing on kamino music because it showed they cared for the previous movies, these are the little details that make me smile
Honestly I was genuinely surprised with how well written this episode was. Crosshairs line of 'Did I have a choice.' really made me feel a kind of pity for him. His later revelation that he had already had his inhibiter chip removed, but was serving the empire anyway was a great twist. I appreciate that they chose to leave it specifically ambiguous whether or not he actually got it removed.
Remember when Grievous and Ventress had their assault on Kamino? All the clones were like "this is personal", "our home" and in general beeing extra motivated. This shows, how powerful the inhibitor chip is, when these clones doom their home
Me and my friend never thought that Crosshair was acting like that on his own free will. It was a really good twist for us And the clones destroying their home was just…..wow. Even showing us the place empty before the destruction
That theme callback to Attack of the Clones literally gave me the exact same feels as when I first saw Attack of the Clones in theaters. Like, I literally almost smelled the popcorn and felt 12 years old again. It was crazy. Usually that doesn't happen to me, but this hit me deep.
I feel like crosshair will come back around because hunter didn’t kill him and stunned him so that they could save him while on the other hand the empire left him for dead with no second thought
Ah, the Empire. No loyalty whatsoever. Once you are no longer useful or overnight become a "liability," they destroy you, directly or indirectly. Sadly Tragic.
When Crosshair said "And I did?" my heart melted. Anyway Tech should know, that anytime he thinks Crosshair wouldnt expect something, he leads whole team into a trap.
Did anyone notice that Crosshair held his head before turning to Hunter after their fight with the droids, just like Wrecker did and like Crosshair did while the chip was activating
omg i saw that i was like wait is it the chip? or its not? than he says he removed it a long time ago and my brain took off from my head I just cant wait for the last episode
On a rewatch it kind of looks like he expected it to hurt but it didn't. He grips it a lot less intensely than he did before, or like we saw Wrecker grip his head when his chip was trying to activate. I feel like it was Crosshair reassuring himself that everything he was about to do and say was of his own free will.
Would’ve been cool to see Blitz in this episode. It would be a cool throwback to the clone wars and also show one of the regs point of view. Seeing the place his brothers, his squad (except hammer), died defending, end up being destroyed by clones. Maybe he could’ve even deviated before getting on the last shuttle, get shot by the last one of Crosshairs elite squad members. Then live long enough to watch as Tipoca city was blown to bits (maybe a blast could go off near him and blow off half his helmet for a cool little shot.) but heck this episode was amazing! I’m not disappointed at all, this was just a little thing floating in my mind.
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
Crosshair: The Empire never told you what happened to my inhibitor chip Hunter: They told me enough, they told me they had reactivated it Crosshair: No, I had my chip removed Hunter: That’s not true, that’s impossible!
I really thought Rex was gonna show up at the start of the episode to reunite with Gregor and then decide to help the Batch rescue Hunter. It would have been so tragic for Rex to be there when Kamino was destroyed. RIP Kamino
I made a bet of it and won 50 dollar, because Crosshairs has that face of a character that reveal being control by the enemy and then revealing they were willing to help the bad guys.

I would love to see a “Clone Rebellion” take place. Clone controlled warships and Venators taking on the empire. They eventually lose out but it would be so satisfying to see all of them be the good guys again. Just like the good ole days :(
I really thought within the last few minutes of that episode we’d see a republic ship or just a venator controlled by the Kaminoans and remaining clones loyal to them open fire on the venators bombarding the facility , really wonder where they’ve all been sent to
@@watermelon5896 id love to see a civil war, the clones are great warriors they would wreck stormtroopers. Now there is just a limited amount of them sadly..
None of the batch are gonna die. We have a season 2, and the music cue that finally kicked in for the first time since Ep1 was clearly conveying that it isn't really the Bad Batch unless all 5 of the original gang are together. They're gonna get away as a group, and the first part of next season is gonna be about Crosshair learning to reintegrate with the group and process being abandoned by the Empire.
Rex is defo in the next episode. He fought the hardest in the clone wars, and in return he has lost his brothers, the Jedi, and now his home. He.Is.Pissed.

Crosshair was burnt by the engine on his left side, but he has a burn mark on his right side. I think when he was recovering, he took the opportunity to remove his chip and then he burned his right side on purpose to cover the scar of his chip removal.
There’s literally no way for a chip to be located that far back on his head. Even on episode 1, we see the chip located at the frontal lobe on Crosshair’s scan.
@@Jellae Well, I don't know, maybe there is more than one spot of his head that they can choose to do the surgery, after all, Crosshair was able to use the facility on Kamino. Maybe Crosshair had a trauma to the head and the chip moved? Anyways, it's just a theory.
@@strykerror2719 welp hopefully the chips gone for good. But still worried about crosshair as he did all those things knowingly but why is still unanswered. Perhaps frustration?
WOW!! What an absolute EPIC of an episode, from Crosshair's revelation that he already removed his chip, to Tipoca city as a ghost town before going down in an ariel bombardment. Truly outstanding storytelling!
I think Crosshair will see that the empire didn't care about him and join his brothers, especially now that we see him in his old armor on the season 2 poster
I can’t say I’m disappointed cuz it was a cool episode and can’t wait to see the final episode of the season but… I would have thought the Kaminoans were smarter than this. Would have preferred they had a secret army or been able to activate the inhibitor chips to make the clones loyal to them. A final stand between Kamino and the Empire would have cool, especially if Vader led the attack.
Well if they are as smart as they should be and as much as they’re put out to be I can’t imagine them openly attacking the empire, at least in a move that would lead to their instant demise if they didn’t have the resources, though we do see that they are suspicious of the Empires intentions and we do see some preparations done behind their back , maybe it’s not all over for them yet and that the destruction of one Clone facility was worth the sacrifice, I really do hope to see a Clone uprising of some sorts though , Vader leading the attack would be just a spectacle
If you go back to episode 3, there is a bit where Crosshair comes out of the same place where he had his chip enhanced. He slightly rubbed his head and then he was told that his vitals were at optimum levels
Whether Crosshair is still Pro-Empire of his own accord or not, it was awesome to see the Bad Batch together working as a unit taking out those training droids. It's like he's the missing cog they need to be as effective as possible.
They literally said that Omega is simply an unaltered clone just like Boba(except gender), AKA she ages just like a normal human, it's that simple. Boba is 13 in Episode 3, so Omega is probably 10-12. She looks like an adolescent human girl because SHE is an adolescent human girl. I don't get how Star Wars Theory missed that.
My theory is that the destruction of Tipoca City is going to be what causes the clone uprising. Inhibitor ships starting to wear off (we think), empire oppressing the people they worked hard to protect (Ryloth for example), the quick switch to the storm troopers. Makes sense a lot of will start to have doubts about the empire. As news starts to spread that the empire made the clones destroy their own home, i think that's going to cause the majority of them to tip from having doubts to full on opposition.
Okay, okay, Dave Filoni didn't just "Throw that in there" though, it was definitely intentional so that we could recall the mystery of what was kamino after the empire had taken the kaminoans away.
Man this episode was something. The end where it shows the different areas of Kamino and the music made me have a huge flood of memories of like every episode that showcased Kamino in The Clone Wars. The end of an Era. Now who else wants to punch rampart right in his smug face!
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
I'd go a little further than a punch in the mug. I have said it before, I always hoped Crosshair would put a slug in him. Was thinking Ryloth would have been the place. He is certainly most deserving of it, after all, he is partly responsible/to blame for Cross' chip being amplified by Tarkin. Rampart will be taken care of, most likely by the hand of Tarkin & not Crosshair. Which is fine by me. His place is now back with his Brothers. And little sister.
Dude... I thought the exact same thing when they showed the deserted mess hall and the clone pods without infants in them.... you knew it was done. Didnt realize the depth of emotion would come to the fore along with the music. Then once they opened fire I got sick.
They really did abandon crosshair. The second omega or hunter was in trouble they came to save them, even from KAMINO. They took on commandos for Gregor, they went into imperial space for that senator. But even after removing the chips they didnt even SPEAK about saving Crosshair. Ahsoka never left Rex on a ship full of thousands of clones, but Crosshair was abandoned and forgotten.
The difference is that in those other cases, the target wanted to be rescued. It's a lot harder to kidnap someone against their will. They probably figured they'd get to it at some point, but Crosshair wasn't in any immediate danger.
People fail to understand what Dave Filoni is doing. Omega will be all over all the shows. She's the key to taking down the empire cloning program. She's the rebel alliances cloning expert, not a mere bounty hunter or a kid for the kids market. She will be in the Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Andor and the book of Boba Fett. She's the counter to Dr Pershing and the imperial cult cloners. She will retain her personality because that's what makes her the better clone expert.
“Oh look the ships are moving in. Hey why is it showing all of the rooms slowly? Oh god” It broke my heart man, been a fan of the clone wars since about 3rd or 4th grade. I graduated high school last year. I can’t thank Filoni and everyone else enough for the great memories
This is the first time we hear the bad batch theme since episode 1 (not as credits), in episode 1: before Order 66, and now, during the fight. Only when all members of the bad batch are there and NOT under the influence of the inhibitor chip.
This was an incredible episode, but imagine if they had added a scene like this: As Omega, Echo, Wrecker and them are journeying through Kamino in the search for Hunter, they end up taking a short cut through one of the barracks. As they sprint through the barracks, Echo takes a moment to survey his surroundings, and he realizes this barracks is just like the one he used to share with old unit from the Clone Wars (Him, Fives, Hevy, CutUp etc.). At this point, the show shifts to the perspective of Echo, and as Echo stares solemnly at the bunk beds, we see a flashback, where Echo witnesses his old self chatting and joking around with Fives and his other comrades. The flashback continues until Omegas voice brings him back to reality, as she asks him softly if he’s alright. Echo is visibly sad at this point, and as he confides in Omega, he confesses, with Wrecker and Tech listening silently and patiently, that he and his old squad used to sleep and spend time here together, before the rest of them all died, and before clone war ended. This moment is especially sad knowing Fives died trying to expose the secret that lead to all this; Order 66. The flashback to better times, the memory of his dead brothers, the crushing sense of loneliness and the current situation all become too much as emotion begins to overwhelm Echo, and we even begin to a hint of a tear form in Echos eye; until Wrecker saves the day. Wrecker places a comforting hand on Echos shoulder and warmly exclaims, “Good thing we’re your squad now!”. Echos regretful, lonely expression is soon overtaken by a grateful smile, as everyone present embraces the heartwarming moment. Tech, although hesitant to the break up the happy moment, takes it upon himself to remind the crew that Hunter is still in danger, and a sense of seriousness and urgency takes place in the episode once more as the clones hurriedly rush out of the Barracks. I feel like a scene of this nature would’ve been great for this episode because it would’ve made the destruction of Kamino later on in the episode seem so much more crushing and sad. Plus, I’ve personally felt like Echo has gotten very little attention or development throughout the show thus far, and this would be a great way to give him a dedicated scene, while also providing the opportunity to add emotion to the episode as well as an opportunity for Echos relationship with the others to develop. If you’ve taken the time to read this, thank you so much and appreciate, please let me know your thoughts on this, and if you’d make any changes or if you think it would have improved the episode or not.
Since flashbacks really aren’t the Bad Batch’s style, it’d be a little too far to do that. It would be closer to the style of the show if you could faintly hear the everyday chatter of Kamino. Plus, the episode would be too crowded if it was focused on two characters
I like the idea of Echo realizing he found his former barracks, but having him have a flashback and get emotional would be a bit much. That’s because they would be midway through an action sequence. It would have slowed down the pace too much, feeling out of place. I liked your creative writing though, good ideas!
The Fall of Tipoca City is truly the end of an era and a pretty emotional scene. After all, its where the entire Clone Wars started. My favorite episode in the series up till now.

I think there's two big reasons why Crosshair couldn't contact them before:
- They scrambled their ship's signal, so Crosshair couldn't just get on the phone anymore.

And it was only done to subvert expectations. Classic Filoni
And he also told omega to stay put
I recall how they fought to defend Kamino in TCW against the Seperatists, as their home, as brothers. And now in Imperial uniforms using the very blue laser Republic starships, they are destroying it themselves so easily with no resistance...
Something else I noticed was that the clone gunnery officers still had the Republic logo on their sleeves.
Now it makes even more sense that Omega was so interested in The Bad Batch in episode 1, they were some of the only people she saw when she was young
I wonder if she knew them when they were kids? They had accelatered growth and it would make sense if she knew them when they were "her age" before they went to train
@@HiHi-lt1cb I suspect since they don't remember her that they were at most toddler when they were taken out of the lab to the other clones.
@@taily89 Maybe it seemed like such a small thing to them, if they remembered at all?
Also makes you understand that they are literally her brothers
honestly the idea that clones have accelerated aging and have been alive for not musch more than 13 or 14 years really saves the series for me, when omega is being wiser or emotionally more mature than them sometimes it makes me remember that these elite supersoldiers have been alive for less than two decades, so they really dont have that much life expirience
@@Devillin She ages at a normal human rate, the other clones are the ones who age at twice the normal rate.

Exactly what I was thinking with the Taris thing
Kamino getting wrecked was nostalgic, with a mix of sad and a little joy, since the long necks were cruel to the clones
Taris getting wrecked to me was like: "yeah, take it you xenophobic snobs lmao" but also sad cause the lower level and all the innocents

@@xxvaltielxx1789 yeah, I wasn't fond of Taris with its humancentric vision and treating aliens like shit; that and the planet in KOTOR took so long to get through. @@dakodafeatherstone9704 yep, i thought Taris too.
One way that would make this much more sad. During the bombardment, it cuts to the area where 99 was shot and killed during the Battle of Kamino, with red lights flashing just like S3, as the roof caves in, playing a track similar to 99's death but in the format of the bombardment theme.

I feel ya man
Yeah, I just remember the clones fighting and losing their lives for Tipoca City, and now it just gets absolutely destroyed. ☹️
Those scenes of the empty facilities felt like an homage to Kamino. A very important planet in which its end truly marks the end of the Clone era in Star Wars. I got pretty emotional watching the Venators firing down on the city. By clones no less!
I think the Venators may have been manned by Storm Troopers or TK troopers
The shots of Kamino were haunting and sad.
@WolfsBane ok. I wasn’t sure but I guess that means at least some clones are loyal to the Empire and the chips are still working. The empire will need them for occupation duties throughout the galaxy
The emptiness was actually a reference to Dave Filoni's writing. All style, no substance. Just... empty
Crosshair is a character that chose the "bad" side by himslef without the chip interfering, and I really hope Howzer is the parallel character, who even tho still has his chip, can still decide to stand againt senseless orders (as long as they dont interfere with Order 66) that would be a great touch
You definitely didn’t watch the episode on your own
Howzer appears to have an non op chip.

That theme callback to Attack of the Clones literally gave me the exact same feels as when I first saw Attack of the Clones in theaters. Like, I literally almost smelled the popcorn and felt 12 years old again. It was crazy. Usually that doesn't happen to me, but this hit me deep.
Nostalgia trip
I feel like crosshair will come back around because hunter didn’t kill him and stunned him so that they could save him while on the other hand the empire left him for dead with no second thought
They left him for dead because he screwed up though. He literally killed his own men.
@@bouncin2207 exactly why he can’t go back
@@dariusdev He was about to reunite the bad batch with the Empire so he possibly could. They're all high value.
@NEO Yes but he still screwed up, we just know he screwed up even more.
Ah, the Empire. No loyalty whatsoever. Once you are no longer useful or overnight become a "liability," they destroy you, directly or indirectly. Sadly Tragic.
This was a HUGE comeback for the show in my eyes. Ended the episode with chills. They did everything so well.
When Crosshair said "And I did?" my heart melted. Anyway Tech should know, that anytime he thinks Crosshair wouldnt expect something, he leads whole team into a trap.
Your heart melted? 1. Omega is not human. 2. she's annoying
I think Tech just can't accept that Crosshair is against them in the subconsciousal level.
@@maxsjoberg788 she’s fine but not annoying in my opinion
@@maxsjoberg788 No I mean when Hunter said "You tried to kill us, we didnt have a choice." I am not talking about Omega.
But this trap was sorely needed, for some time now. At least for us Crosshair fans.
Did anyone notice that Crosshair held his head before turning to Hunter after their fight with the droids, just like Wrecker did and like Crosshair did while the chip was activating
Yes! I know that’s why I think he just thinks he removed it!!! I don’t think he really did it
yes!!!
omg i saw that i was like wait is it the chip? or its not? than he says he removed it a long time ago and my brain took off from my head I just cant wait for the last episode
Everyone is also ignoring how Hunter looked at the burn marked and obviously questioned it. I bet the chip got melted and is barely working
I was 14 when AOTC came out and saw it 11 times in the theater. The empty shots of Kamino really brought it full circle.
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
The last few scenes when they showed all of the rooms empty. The calm before the storm. Man, that hit me!
Crosshair: The Empire never told you what happened to my inhibitor chip
Hunter: They told me enough, they told me they had reactivated it
Crosshair: No, I had my chip removed
Hunter: That’s not true, that’s impossible!
Search it in my head, you know it to be true!
@@501thtrooper4 Nnnooooooooooo!!!!!!!
I really thought Rex was gonna show up at the start of the episode to reunite with Gregor and then decide to help the Batch rescue Hunter. It would have been so tragic for Rex to be there when Kamino was destroyed. RIP Kamino
Hearing Crosshair reveal he took out his chip made by stomach literally drop, Goosebumps!!!!
I think it melted
I thought that was the most predictable part of this episode.
I made a bet of it and won 50 dollar, because Crosshairs has that face of a character that reveal being control by the enemy and then revealing they were willing to help the bad guys.

I’m not so sure his chip is truly gone.
I would love to see a “Clone Rebellion” take place. Clone controlled warships and Venators taking on the empire. They eventually lose out but it would be so satisfying to see all of them be the good guys again. Just like the good ole days :(
I really thought within the last few minutes of that episode we’d see a republic ship or just a venator controlled by the Kaminoans and remaining clones loyal to them open fire on the venators bombarding the facility , really wonder where they’ve all been sent to
Technically they were the bad guys "in the good ole days"
Kinda like the story of Spartacus
@@watermelon5896 id love to see a civil war, the clones are great warriors they would wreck stormtroopers. Now there is just a limited amount of them sadly..
@@themagicman6078 eh, tools of a bad guy, sure, but they were still moral and honourable soldiers compared to the droids.
With Kamino's destruction, a chapter of our childhood was closed and it's heartbreaking.
Agreed.
And then he will sacrifice his life for them in some way. Possibly to save them from Vader
Rex is defo in the next episode. He fought the hardest in the clone wars, and in return he has lost his brothers, the Jedi, and now his home.
He.Is.Pissed.
The scene when it’s just a quiet transition around kamino was insane
Yea that part where it showed the empty rooms got me, I wish they added the bunk room specifically the one where 99 died and that medical room the one where Tup died, I would’ve started balling tears if they did that.
You are right about the different sides, I didn't notice that before!
@@Dripularstein If they can all escape kamino alive, maybe AZI will be able to scan Crosshair to get more info.
Wait I cant find any season 2 posters lol and how will Crosshair get his old armor back I wonder.
@Harry That would be literally amazing if they did
Absolutely, YEESS!
I can’t say I’m disappointed cuz it was a cool episode and can’t wait to see the final episode of the season but…
I would have thought the Kaminoans were smarter than this.
That would be sick
Wait I thought that was the last episode 😳
They did in
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Video Game. (2005)
@@royroy3 Officially, there never was a Clone Rebellion on Kamino…
If you go back to episode 3, there is a bit where Crosshair comes out of the same place where he had his chip enhanced. He slightly rubbed his head and then he was told that his vitals were at optimum levels
*theory* In episode 1, when tarkin Asked “how many enhanced clones are there?” Nala sa said “ 5 is all that REMAINS” so there were more but they died.
You might be onto something.
You may be onto something
Whether Crosshair is still Pro-Empire of his own accord or not, it was awesome to see the Bad Batch together working as a unit taking out those training droids. It's like he's the missing cog they need to be as effective as possible.
They are only 100% effective when they are all together
He is, the missing cog. Thank You. Think he still has his chip, but the squad can remove it now. Thank God.
Probably tired
also baby yoda isnt a clone he missed that from the mando show
Nice profile pic
Noones perfect i guess
She probabaly identifies as a wookie tho
They have made it pretty clear there’s no accelerated aging for Omega.
@@deadcentr2737 ikr! If they did it'd be like: Get the a bucket they turned the faucets on. Lol
@@clankers8929 Shoot I'd put a slug in him now. Thanks for the reminder of all he's done lol
Your not wrong. 🤔
And im all for it
Bump this comment. This is a good prediction
It'd be so cool to see that happen!
If this happens I might actually kill myself she pisses me off so much
Interesting take for sure. We’ll have to see!
I noticed that as well! Really sweet to have this theme be more significant than like playing the force theme whenever the force is used lol
Not just that the kamino theme plays from attack of the clones
Villain: **literally Hitler**
Omega: "but Huntah... we need to save them... 🥺"
Lol
This was an incredible episode, but imagine if they had added a scene like this:
As Omega, Echo, Wrecker and them are journeying through Kamino in the search for Hunter, they end up taking a short cut through one of the barracks.
It would’ve improved it nice writing
I think this would be a great added scene and it makes sense.
Since flashbacks really aren’t the Bad Batch’s style, it’d be a little too far to do that. It would be closer to the style of the show if you could faintly hear the everyday chatter of Kamino. Plus, the episode would be too crowded if it was focused on two characters
I wish AZ knew that echo was fives friend
I like the idea of Echo realizing he found his former barracks, but having him have a flashback and get emotional would be a bit much. That’s because they would be midway through an action sequence. It would have slowed down the pace too much, feeling out of place. I liked your creative writing though, good ideas!
