We kind of figured what Omega was but the fact she isn’t modified like the rest of the clones is shock. Making her the closest to family to Boba Fett and Jango
But can someone explain how she can be a female? It is stated in the episode that she and boba are the only unaltered clones of jango fett in the galaxy. A perfect copy of jango. But how can a female be a "clone" of jango? Men and Women have different genes and are not the same (chromosoms for example).
@@siiir1322 they probably produced her as a female but still retains the genes of Jango fett similar to boba just with no modifications. She still has similar facial features to him she’s just a female tho

Lets be honest and not hating on fennec Shand at all she’s a great character but we all know if it wasn’t for her being introduced in the mandalorian bane would have destroyed her here, I mean he head banged her and knocked her out like 5 times but I digress, the man still took a grenade like a champ and still kicked her ass pretty good. i mean bane is 62 now and has a part of his head missing whilst fennec is young and athletic. bane is no where near as strong as he was when he still fought jedi.
Her name is literally Fox, she's supposed to be sly, cunning and highly maneuverable as demonstrated by the fight. They already set the precedent earlier in the season that she's young and nasty (quickly rising through the ranks), very akin to a Kakashi if you're familiar with Naruto. Bane literally said he was having difficulty seeing on entry into the planet. He's much older than Fennec, which showed in his punching speed, and It's implied that him and Boba's showdown already occurred which may or may not have impacted his ability to fight. Yet despite all that and her spamming zone and sneak attacks, Bane STILL managed to beat her a$$. I swear, fans are some of the hardest d!ck riders and can't see what's presented before them
Such an incredible episode, yet I’m over here inordinately upset about Taun We. 🥺 what an unceremonious end. If I’m ever going to run into another person who had a major Taun We phase as a kid, it’s probably here. Nobody else seemed to care about her, so they basically only made one little plastic action figure of her and nothing else, but it was one of my prized possessions. I’d bring it to school, and kids tried to make fun of me & say I looked like her, but I was just happy to be like Taun We. 😆
Yeah they did Taun We dirty. As a big fan of the prequels, I used to watch Attack of The Clones all the time as a kid. Them taking her out like that didn’t sit well with me
Its even worse if you've read the Boba Fett Legends books. Besides Zam, Taun We was the only female he'd ever known - in fact, she was the closest thing he had to a mother.

Plus didnt in the first episode they said that the chip did something strange to crosshair brain?. I might be remembering it wrong but that chip fused so much that it made his personality how it is. Extremely strict and follows any order without hesitation. Plus is not too far fetched. The dark troopers are clones after all that were modified old clones.

So when they went to this abandoned Kamino facility, I immediately thought it was bespin because that structure looks exactly the same as cloud city. I also never realized that kamino structures are almost the exact same as cloud city.

Little detail worth noting: Omega is (presumably) the last clone made with Jango Fett’s DNA Boba Fett is likely the first, given that he was already at least 10 by the time of Episode II and didn’t have accelerated aging. Boba was codenamed “Alpha” by the Kaminoans. Alpha and Omega. Beginning and end. Two sides of the same coin.

I would love to see Bossk in the book of boba, I mean I don’t think in canon that he is dead at that time. Bossk and Boba are friends if infamous bounty hunters could be friends. But yeah maybe boba and Bossk will show up for Omega and hopefully they become siblings.

Now I remember George Lucas using “by hook or by crook” when saying how he was talking about keeping his work on the Original Trilogy his own. I think it’s on the Empire of Dreams documentary. I noticed that when Bane headbutted Shand that he seemed stunned himself. I think that head injury is really messing with him. This show loves head injuries.

I’m not exactly sure how the cloning process works in Star Wars, but maybe when they extracted DNA from Jango, as a test they duplicated the X chromosome and removed the Y? Then they’d have continued the process however they usually do. Probably something to do with stem cells, perhaps.

I feel like the Bad Batch series is gonna end with a Halo Reach-style ending where the whole team (except 1 technically) dies off towards the end from different encounters. That would be cool imo, they are pretty similar to Noble Team regarding their roles in the team.
Why does everyone want the bad batch to die in one season lol. This could go on for 2 to three seasons at least, we have a really interesting premise in the making and it shouldn't be rushed. Edit: For people saying they can't live because of them not showing up in the OG trilogy. Yes they can, and there are plenty of logical reasons for why that can perfectly fit into the story. There are two reasonable routes this could go if they do live. 1: They go into hiding to keep Omega safe from the Empire and Kaminoans. They could reside in the outer-rim where the Empire doesn't hold much power if any, and make a living doing jobs. This could still make for an interesting story. And would explain why we never hear about them in the Imperial era, because they are in hiding and are *trying* not to be found. 2: Hunter expressed a clear uncertainty when Rex propositioned Hunter to have his team join his cause. He also expressed they wanted to find their own purpose in the galaxy. And as of right now it's protecting omega, not fighting against the empire. Which is yet another reason why we never see them In rebels, Or on the battle of endor. They could have no interest in fighting the war, and even if they do Omega would still take priority. These are just two examples, I'm sure there are even more reasons why they can co-exist and still not show up or have much involvement in the imperial era.

For me it’s annoying that there’s no stakes and it’s very predictable. there’s 5 main characters who can’t die, Fennec can’t die, filoni doesn’t really have the balls to kill Cad Bane and Todo classes as cute droid so isn’t going to die either, so it gets boring having to watch extended fight scenes of two characters you know aren’t going to kill each other. One gets blown up, we know they’re going to get back up, one gets slammed unconscious against a wall, we know they’re getting back up, one gets thrown over a balcony, we know he’s going to somehow get back up there. The droid gets smashed once, we know it’s coming back, the droid gets smashed twice, we know it’s coming back. Then there was the fact as soon as we find out Omegas related to boba Fett anyone could have guessed Fenec would be the one coming to try and ‘rescue’ her from cad. It was better with the clone wars i suppose as there were more extended cast to kill off regularly and the stakes were higher. This feels too rebels like, rather than clone wars like

Cad Bane was certainly out of his element in this episode because he specializaed more in direct combat. Fennec Shand specialized more in stealth combat and the place is ideal for her because she can easily turn a corner into a trap or use the heavy fog covering inside the building to hide and snipe her targets.
yeah.. i think fennec had the upper hand because it seemed like she was controlling the flow of the fight and everything, like how she sabotaged his ship
@@rav9066 yep and we saw how well Cad Bane took down Fennec once they entered close quarter combat. If Bane had not been so confident in his victory and on Omega, he may have noticed Fennec's deception.
@@austinking5092 if you mean the Clone Wars Season 3 Episode 9 fight, Cad Bane was fighting a very close quarter combat battle so he was always in their face or near them. Fennec took advantage of the area and kept her distance and was not defeated until they got into a close quarter combat fight.

I feel like Filoni has really hit his stride with The Bad Batch. Even Clone Wars season 7 had some pacing issues that lead to some kinda boring episodes, but in TBB every episode has felt meaningful, even the slower episodes that don't really mean too much in the greater scheme of the story have had a huge amount of character development. I'm soooo excited to see what happens with Omega, even more so than the rest of the Bad Batch, and I hope that this series isn't the only time we get to see her, she's an awesome character and she's been developed masterfully using the exact same methods Filoni used to make Ahsoka a fan favourite, except it's taken less time to get people to love her because he's clearly perfected the formula of creating a character that is supposed to be kind of annoying but eventually everyone loves.
The thing I really like about The Bad Batch is that it shows that things happen in the Star Wars universe even when jedi are not involved. The universe keeps moving on and people do things even when noone is waving around glowing energy swords. Star Wars has often had the problem of "How can we shoehorn a jedi or ten into this story even if it isn't necessary" just because people like cool lightsabre fights. A show where jedi are for the most part absent is actually quite refreshing.
It helps that BB follows one arc, one storyline, one set of characters. Clone Wars was ambitious in scope and I love the show to death, but sometimes, I felt that its desire to show as much of the galaxy as possible could come as a detriment because we would have arcs that we didn't really care about, like the droid arcs, or youngling arcs, and then really good arcs like the Battle of Umbara were few and far between. In the grand scheme of the show, there's actually not that many arcs that focus just on Rex and the 501st. There's Domino Squad/Kamino, Umbara, and the Fives/Inhibitor Chip Arc, as well as the OG Bad Batch arc in Season 7. But I feel like for a show about the Clone Wars, there should have been more episodes about just the Clones. More episodes like Umbara that follow Rex and the Clone Army as they slug it out on another Separatist world. One missed opportunity I think with Umbara was that they could have done a second arc on Umbara that is focused on showing the Republic increasingly starting to resemble the Empire. As the main battle of Umbara is concluded, an insurgency starts to develop against the Clones by the native Umbarans. And the arc could show as elements of the Clone Army begin employing increasingly more brutal counterinsurgency methods, and Rex and Fives questioning the morality of these methods and the direction that the Republic is taking. It would fit in quite well too I think with the Pong Krell story, as it would further emphasize whether the Clones can disobey an order they know to not be bad for them, but to be morally questionable. Or perhaps if they did an arc like that on another Separatist planet with a native population resisting the Clone Army instead of droids.

While there were some interesting elements in every episode, there were 5 really slow, nearly meaningless episodes. I feel like they could've given us the same details in a more meaningful way. It feels drawn out. Don't make the season 16 episodes long if you can't keep the plot moving forward.
Don't forget about when Bane got owned by an unarmed Kenobi in S4... Cad Bane was only able to bring Obi-Wan to the ground with that shock when he caught him off guard after Obi-Wan disarmed him and saw Quinlan Vos' saber fall into the abyss in S3... He caught him off guard, just like the parawan bounty hunter that shocked Anakin... It's in that same episode, the arc where Obi-Wan goes undercover as Rako Hardeen in S4... He straight up beats Bane without a weapon in hand or using force powers. Also, if you watch again, Bane knocks Fennec to the ground twice, but he walks away once and is distracted the second time. He technically beat her up but she surprised him after he let his guard down, giving her the upper hand in the end.
I feel like Crosshair’s going to get punished in the next episode for his failure. Also, I’m so happy that Fennec didn’t kill Bane. I would really like to see him in live action in the Book of Boba Fett
Ngl, that would be amazing, to see an episode where bane comes back to finish the job and finally kill Boba, and then the two of them Duke it out to find out who is the better combatant. Although, Cad would be pretty damn old by that point, so idk if he'd last that long

Cad Bane took a blast to the back and still had the upper hand. The only real reason Fennec won was because Bane kept getting distracted by Omega and was injured.

She has blond hair like Arla so I guess it makes sense. The fact that she’s female reminds me of Wolverine and X-23. The DNA from Wolverine was so damaged that they couldn’t salvage the Y chromosome, hence why she ended up female. The same could have happened for Omega. 🤷🏻♀️
When Crosshair first stood up in his bandages, I, for a moment, thought they were retconning Dengar to have been Crosshair this whole time lol (I realize now, though, that a 90% bandaged face would look similar between any two human males)
I would rather see him die by the hands of boba and keep his legacy as at one point greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy, instead of his character being used to set up Fennec for the book of boba
I really hope the next episode is more Crosshair placed. Since he failed to eliminate the Bad Batch, it would be interesting to see how Tarkin handles him and what Crosshair would do if the Empire had no more use for him
As a HUGE Crosshair fan, yes PLEASE. He should have had an ENTIRE episode devoted to what he is emotionally going through (is the chip failing at all) & what he is up to when not chasing down Squad 99. He is way too an integral character to be side shelved. And ultimately (whether you enjoy him or not) is part of the Batch. And I don't believe any members of 99 should/need to be killed off. Having too much fun with these characters for that. No thank you. They all bring something to the table & all have unique personalities. I want a Season 2.
I think a part of this season is to show that Clone Wars Bounty Hunters are in the decline, and the Empire era BHs are on the rise From Cad and Aurra to Boba and Shand et al.
My prediction: Boba learns that Omega is his sister, while she is again in Bane’s custody. In the finale, the Bad Bad Batch fail to rescue her and are killed. As Bane stands over their bodies, Boba walks into frame and they have their epic dual.
Yeah, I can see this all leading up to a *duel* between Boba and Cad Bane, because Cad Bane wants Omega for his bounty, and Boba probably doesn`t want one of his long-time rivals to take his twin sister to be killed by the Kaminoans. Although I don`t think the Bad Batch will die, it's only season 1 after all.
Cad Banes cybernetic on his head make it seem like the duel has already happened. The ending episode name War Mantle will probably be the ending for militarised clones, showing how the jango fett clones are discontinued as the main bulk of the military. I like the theory about how captain ballast comes in because crosshair is injured. Captain ballast does a bad job and makes rampsrt forgot his name) really seal his decision on discontinuing the clones
@9ineFourty then where's Omega after? Unless they are separated after meeting in the finale I don't think they meet until Omega appears in The Book of Boba, which she will certainly be a character. Her ties to Fennic and being Boba's sister are too big to be ignored
Yes it would be impossible for them to genetically modify her... assuming they follow human style DNA, they already changed 50% of the chromosomes to make him into a her. The fact she is much younger and they called her Omega, could also mean she’s the last in a long list of direct copies. The copy that was finally a successful experiment for whatever they were aiming for. Now they just need her back to reuse her DNA. The rest likely would have been deemed failures and discarded, same way she’ll be discarded once they have her DNA to copy.
Filoni learned from all his mistakes in the beginning of clone wars, and now we get to see his universe get built before our eyes. It’s no coincidence that we are seeing fennec right before the book of boba!
@@baconboi4482 he was constantly distracted by Omega, was in an environment better suited for Fennec’s skill, and is a couple decades away from the average lifespan of his species (give him 20 years and he’ll be too old to fight)

Here’s what I want to see in the bad batch: the zillo beast. I hope the phase three clones they are talking about will use armor of the zillo beast, because palpatine had it cloned and then it wasn’t mentioned ever again. Unless something happened with it that I’m unaware of.
I think in Cad’s and Shand’s first fight, Shand outsmarted Cad and was able to beat him fair and square. But in their second fight, Cad Bane was the one who beat Shand, but had to pause for a second to receive info from Todo, which led to Shand recovering. So, I think Shand won the first fight, and Cad won the second fight.
Hmm, he just got a bit overconfident and ignored the fact he left someone laying right behind him hahaha. Which to be fair, when you're of that caliber of a bounty hunter, it can happen from time to time.
@@machewgun503 I wouldn’t even say she’s a better hand to hand combatant. Cad got her on her back twice and could have killed her had he not been otherwise distracted.
@@machewgun503 She isn’t better in H2H. Cad beat her twice in H2H, had her knocked out cold. In the second instance after he soccer kicked her in the head, he could’ve straight up killed her, but Todo interrupted. This gave her time to recuperate and get back up. If it wasn’t for Todo Fennec would’ve died.
Assassin droids are some of my favorite things in star wars that I feel haven't gotten enough action in the shows and movies. Would be really cool to see IG-88 or a similar assassin droid be sent, especially because droids with these kind of capabilities would be so new at the time.
Seeing Taun We die just hurt. As soon as I seen her laying there, I was reminded of that scene in Episode II when Boba said, "Dad, Taun We is here." It is silly to care so much for a minor character, but... I do not know. It was just sad for me. :^|

It just dawned on me, they would’nt Create a new character like omega unless they had big plans for her. Now since they’ve mentioned boba I think she’s going to play a huge roll in the book of boba opening this year.
the only reason this episode didn't do it for me is bc bane j seemed to weak. He used to be a great competition to any one and was the second greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy-second only to boba. I think he was way to weak and would have easily handed it to fenec in his normal self. They Nerf bane bc other wise it would be a total blow out. With bane winning of course. like we saw last episode bane hit hunter right by his heart, now he cant even hit fenec any where.

Yeah, I was hoping that Boba would make an appearance in this season. But hopefully it'll happen in season 2, however I get the feeling that Hunter will get very suspicious about him and a rift will be formed.
@@austinpruitt4165 bullets are actually much more deadly, because of the Shockwave they create, especially hallow point, or better yet shotgun pellets. Blasters don't produce as much kinetic energy. The only reason they use blasters in the star wars galaxy is because they melt through armor much more easily, and is still fairly deadly. But blasters are much less effective against flesh than bullets are
@@lincolnretzlaff6644 I thought the exact same thing. His breath tubes are optional tech to resist being Force choked. I think what he has on his head is added armor as the galaxy has gotten lot more dangerous lately.
A. He's getting old B. The environment much favored fennecs stealth style of combat. C. He would have won the second fight but was relaying information to todo which caused him to lose focus for a split second.
Right? Sometimes that unceremonious approach to a character death makes it hit 10x harder. No dramatic music or touching send off- just a realization that they’re gone.
Quick break down on Fennec, Cad, and Obi-Wan: When Cad was on the run from Obi and Quinlan, Cad was fighting a counterattack style to fend off the Jedi as they pursued him to get a chance to escape. If you watch not once does Cad lose his composure in the fight though. Obi-Wan is notoriously a defensive fighter and largely underestimated Cads cunningness, taking Obi-Wan off guard and furthermore opening a hole for him to escape. Shand vs Bane however it was Cad who was at first overconfident but was quickly losing his confidence after he seen Fennecs quick thinking and relentless pressure. After the credits were lost and Omega was on the run, the only thing Cad was really fighting for was his reputation so he did not quit and was caught off guard by Shand multiple more times before he overpowered her in hand to hand combat, in which I’m sure he’s more proficient in.

I was very sad that Taun We was killed on this episode after having such small screen time because we’ve waited so long to see her after she last appeared in Attack Of The Clones and never appeared in The Clone Wars. She had so much better potential.
@@da.bean1 yeah but not to Boba himself. Plus the fact that her and Boba are the most raw DNA connected to Jango Fett, it means Boba and Omega are more related to each other and Jango than they are to any other clones made.
its super cool that we're seeing an expansion in the lore. even the kamino stuff is super fascinating. hopefully theyre able to stick the landing with his one. the future potential for this show looks very promising. 8/10 ep
@@VollianoAce Fair point I guess. I guess me and a couple of others sometimes forget that underestimating happens a lot in Star Wars. Kinda like how Maul underestimated Obi-Wan during their duel on Naboo. And I guess the same thing that happened to Maul happened to Bane. He simply underestimated her I suppose. But then again plot armor so I’m not that mad, just bothered, but all at the end of the day it’s fun to watch.
We probably see Cad Bane in Book of Boba Fett because we would have seen the duell of Boba and Cad or Cad Bane wouldnt have the metal Skull. They don't need to do that but they did it for a point. We could also see Omega in Book of Boba Fett because I doubt they will kill her in Bad Batch
If that show is in the Mando timeline Cad Bane would be 80 years old at that point and his species has a life expectancy of a human so he would be very old.

I also think in an episode further in the series, maybe after some kind of confrontation with Crosshair, afterwards like after they escape, they could add some flashbacks or memories of their cadet times, because Angst or that I think it would be interesting to see their past
Great episode! The series could go off in so many different directions. I didn’t like that Cad Bane was get handled by Fennec. He was known to be the best bounty hunter in the galaxy after Jango died and she is fairly new to the bounty hunting at this point in time. But the action was great and Todo is hilarious 😂
I don't think we'll see Vader in this season, and unlikely he'll be around next season either. I mean it took two seasons for Kanan and Ezra to get his attention, and they were Jedi directly opposing the Empire on a single planet, and Vader was obsessed with killing Jedi. I don't see it as reasonable for Vader to take interest in a couple of clones that aren't even really gunning for the empire, in fact they actively avoid the Empire.
What I have in mind is that Lama Su might hire Cad bane,Aurra Sing and Bossk three bounty hunters that are ruthless,while Nala Se might hire Boba(If she found him),Fennec Shand and maybe someone like sugi or embo,bounty hunters that have more moral values and maybe we will get to see a fight between these two teams of bounty hunters
Theory- we know from Legends that the Kaminoans are cold, calculating and in many ways emotionless beings. Do not be surprised if Nala Se (sp?) has her own motivations for Omega as an asset and not a daughter figure. There may be another twist yet to come.

Hope not. And like a lot of you fans have pointed out, Vader is really ONLY interested in hunting down & killing Jedi. Or Rebels. Our batch are neither.
Now picture this: omega looks toward hunters body curled on the cold white floor of kaminos corridors. With the hand of lama Su wrapped around her arm pulling her into a lab room she cry’s out with tears streaming down her face “YOU PROMISED HUNTER YOU PROMISED”. The doors close and we can no longer hear Omega And the camera pans towards hunters body with the smoking hole still burned into his chest piece. And then it fades to black and we get a white Bad Batch logo similar to that of the rebels one when Kanin dies.
So it did happen... wow. Bane’s armor plate on his skull proves that the confrontation between him and Boba did occur but also proves that Bane lived through that ordeal. Doesn’t mean that a second confrontation isn’t inevitable because I bet Filoni will want to make it official in this epic cinematic animation style between Cad Bane vs. Boba Fett.
I’m thinking that Crosshair’s chip may have been damaged by the burning. They empire may not be able to boost its power to keep him under control. He might be on a mission and kill all of the troopers around him and escape back to the Batch
The fact Taun We, never did anything wrong, her canon information explained that she was gentle and trusting in nature. But was also naive an example, failing to realise that Obi-Wan Kenobi had been unaware of the clone army's existence prior to his arrival on Kamino. According to her Taun We's voice actress she was described as "a creature of love and light, a graceful form that easily glides through life". So, her death hit me hard, as she did nothing wrong she was doing her duty and not realising she was going towards her demise. Another case of casualty of war :( x
This could lead down a very wild path, considering the legends material with regards to clones of not jango but boba being developed under the empire, with some enhancements. I really would love to see them run with this, or some what like it.

Her name is literally Fox, she's supposed to be sly, cunning and highly maneuverable as demonstrated by the fight. They already set the precedent earlier in the season that she's young and nasty (quickly rising through the ranks), very akin to a Kakashi if you're familiar with Naruto. Bane literally said he was having difficulty seeing on entry into the planet. He's much older than Fennec, which showed in his punching speed, and It's implied that him and Boba's showdown already occurred which may or may not have impacted his ability to fight. Yet despite all that and her spamming zone and sneak attacks, Bane STILL managed to beat her a$$. I swear, fans are some of the hardest d!ck riders and can't see what's presented before them

If I’m ever going to run into another person who had a major Taun We phase as a kid, it’s probably here. Nobody else seemed to care about her, so they basically only made one little plastic action figure of her and nothing else, but it was one of my prized possessions. I’d bring it to school, and kids tried to make fun of me & say I looked like her, but I was just happy to be like Taun We. 😆

Plus didnt in the first episode they said that the chip did something strange to crosshair brain?. I might be remembering it wrong but that chip fused so much that it made his personality how it is. Extremely strict and follows any order without hesitation. Plus is not too far fetched. The dark troopers are clones after all that were modified old clones.

So when they went to this abandoned Kamino facility, I immediately thought it was bespin because that structure looks exactly the same as cloud city. I also never realized that kamino structures are almost the exact same as cloud city.

I’m not exactly sure how the cloning process works in Star Wars, but maybe when they extracted DNA from Jango, as a test they duplicated the X chromosome and removed the Y? Then they’d have continued the process however they usually do. Probably something to do with stem cells, perhaps.

Why does everyone want the bad batch to die in one season lol. This could go on for 2 to three seasons at least, we have a really interesting premise in the making and it shouldn't be rushed.
Edit: For people saying they can't live because of them not showing up in the OG trilogy. Yes they can, and there are plenty of logical reasons for why that can perfectly fit into the story. There are two reasonable routes this could go if they do live.
1: They go into hiding to keep Omega safe from the Empire and Kaminoans. They could reside in the outer-rim where the Empire doesn't hold much power if any, and make a living doing jobs. This could still make for an interesting story. And would explain why we never hear about them in the Imperial era, because they are in hiding and are *trying* not to be found.
2: Hunter expressed a clear uncertainty when Rex propositioned Hunter to have his team join his cause. He also expressed they wanted to find their own purpose in the galaxy. And as of right now it's protecting omega, not fighting against the empire. Which is yet another reason why we never see them In rebels, Or on the battle of endor. They could have no interest in fighting the war, and even if they do Omega would still take priority.
These are just two examples, I'm sure there are even more reasons why they can co-exist and still not show up or have much involvement in the imperial era.

Its illogical because we get deaths of important characters eitherway for all those wanting darkness, why the hell should all die like what issue do yall have with bad batch
For me it’s annoying that there’s no stakes and it’s very predictable. there’s 5 main characters who can’t die, Fennec can’t die, filoni doesn’t really have the balls to kill Cad Bane and Todo classes as cute droid so isn’t going to die either, so it gets boring having to watch extended fight scenes of two characters you know aren’t going to kill each other. One gets blown up, we know they’re going to get back up, one gets slammed unconscious against a wall, we know they’re getting back up, one gets thrown over a balcony, we know he’s going to somehow get back up there. The droid gets smashed once, we know it’s coming back, the droid gets smashed twice, we know it’s coming back.
Then there was the fact as soon as we find out Omegas related to boba Fett anyone could have guessed Fenec would be the one coming to try and ‘rescue’ her from cad.
It was better with the clone wars i suppose as there were more extended cast to kill off regularly and the stakes were higher. This feels too rebels like, rather than clone wars like

Cad Bane was certainly out of his element in this episode because he specializaed more in direct combat. Fennec Shand specialized more in stealth combat and the place is ideal for her because she can easily turn a corner into a trap or use the heavy fog covering inside the building to hide and snipe her targets.

Fennec took advantage of the area and kept her distance and was not defeated until they got into a close quarter combat fight.

I feel like Filoni has really hit his stride with The Bad Batch. Even Clone Wars season 7 had some pacing issues that lead to some kinda boring episodes, but in TBB every episode has felt meaningful, even the slower episodes that don't really mean too much in the greater scheme of the story have had a huge amount of character development. I'm soooo excited to see what happens with Omega, even more so than the rest of the Bad Batch, and I hope that this series isn't the only time we get to see her, she's an awesome character and she's been developed masterfully using the exact same methods Filoni used to make Ahsoka a fan favourite, except it's taken less time to get people to love her because he's clearly perfected the formula of creating a character that is supposed to be kind of annoying but eventually everyone loves.
The thing I really like about The Bad Batch is that it shows that things happen in the Star Wars universe even when jedi are not involved. The universe keeps moving on and people do things even when noone is waving around glowing energy swords. Star Wars has often had the problem of "How can we shoehorn a jedi or ten into this story even if it isn't necessary" just because people like cool lightsabre fights. A show where jedi are for the most part absent is actually quite refreshing.
It helps that BB follows one arc, one storyline, one set of characters. Clone Wars was ambitious in scope and I love the show to death, but sometimes, I felt that its desire to show as much of the galaxy as possible could come as a detriment because we would have arcs that we didn't really care about, like the droid arcs, or youngling arcs, and then really good arcs like the Battle of Umbara were few and far between. In the grand scheme of the show, there's actually not that many arcs that focus just on Rex and the 501st. There's Domino Squad/Kamino, Umbara, and the Fives/Inhibitor Chip Arc, as well as the OG Bad Batch arc in Season 7. But I feel like for a show about the Clone Wars, there should have been more episodes about just the Clones. More episodes like Umbara that follow Rex and the Clone Army as they slug it out on another Separatist world. One missed opportunity I think with Umbara was that they could have done a second arc on Umbara that is focused on showing the Republic increasingly starting to resemble the Empire. As the main battle of Umbara is concluded, an insurgency starts to develop against the Clones by the native Umbarans. And the arc could show as elements of the Clone Army begin employing increasingly more brutal counterinsurgency methods, and Rex and Fives questioning the morality of these methods and the direction that the Republic is taking. It would fit in quite well too I think with the Pong Krell story, as it would further emphasize whether the Clones can disobey an order they know to not be bad for them, but to be morally questionable. Or perhaps if they did an arc like that on another Separatist planet with a native population resisting the Clone Army instead of droids.

While there were some interesting elements in every episode, there were 5 really slow, nearly meaningless episodes. I feel like they could've given us the same details in a more meaningful way. It feels drawn out. Don't make the season 16 episodes long if you can't keep the plot moving forward.
Don't forget about when Bane got owned by an unarmed Kenobi in S4...
Cad Bane was only able to bring Obi-Wan to the ground with that shock when he caught him off guard after Obi-Wan disarmed him and saw Quinlan Vos' saber fall into the abyss in S3... He caught him off guard, just like the parawan bounty hunter that shocked Anakin... It's in that same episode, the arc where Obi-Wan goes undercover as Rako Hardeen in S4... He straight up beats Bane without a weapon in hand or using force powers. Also, if you watch again, Bane knocks Fennec to the ground twice, but he walks away once and is distracted the second time. He technically beat her up but she surprised him after he let his guard down, giving her the upper hand in the end.
I feel like Crosshair’s going to get punished in the next episode for his failure.
Also, I’m so happy that Fennec didn’t kill Bane. I would really like to see him in live action in the Book of Boba Fett

She has blond hair like Arla so I guess it makes sense. The fact that she’s female reminds me of Wolverine and X-23. The DNA from Wolverine was so damaged that they couldn’t salvage the Y chromosome, hence why she ended up female. The same could have happened for Omega. 🤷🏻♀️

As a HUGE Crosshair fan, yes PLEASE. He should have had an ENTIRE episode devoted to what he is emotionally going through (is the chip failing at all) & what he is up to when not chasing down Squad 99. He is way too an integral character to be side shelved. And ultimately (whether you enjoy him or not) is part of the Batch. And I don't believe any members of 99 should/need to be killed off. Having too much fun with these characters for that. No thank you. They all bring something to the table & all have unique personalities. I want a Season 2.

I think a part of this season is to show that Clone Wars Bounty Hunters are in the decline, and the Empire era BHs are on the rise
From Cad and Aurra to Boba and Shand et al.
My prediction: Boba learns that Omega is his sister, while she is again in Bane’s custody. In the finale, the Bad Bad Batch fail to rescue her and are killed. As Bane stands over their bodies, Boba walks into frame and they have their epic dual.
Yeah, I can see this all leading up to a *duel* between Boba and Cad Bane, because Cad Bane wants Omega for his bounty, and Boba probably doesn`t want one of his long-time rivals to take his twin sister to be killed by the Kaminoans. Although I don`t think the Bad Batch will die, it's only season 1 after all.
Cad Banes cybernetic on his head make it seem like the duel has already happened. The ending episode name War Mantle will probably be the ending for militarised clones, showing how the jango fett clones are discontinued as the main bulk of the military. I like the theory about how captain ballast comes in because crosshair is injured. Captain ballast does a bad job and makes rampsrt forgot his name) really seal his decision on discontinuing the clones

Yes it would be impossible for them to genetically modify her... assuming they follow human style DNA, they already changed 50% of the chromosomes to make him into a her. The fact she is much younger and they called her Omega, could also mean she’s the last in a long list of direct copies. The copy that was finally a successful experiment for whatever they were aiming for. Now they just need her back to reuse her DNA.
The rest likely would have been deemed failures and discarded, same way she’ll be discarded once they have her DNA to copy.

I think in Cad’s and Shand’s first fight, Shand outsmarted Cad and was able to beat him fair and square. But in their second fight, Cad Bane was the one who beat Shand, but had to pause for a second to receive info from Todo, which led to Shand recovering. So, I think Shand won the first fight, and Cad won the second fight.
Hmm, he just got a bit overconfident and ignored the fact he left someone laying right behind him hahaha. Which to be fair, when you're of that caliber of a bounty hunter, it can happen from time to time.
Fennec: shes really agile and is better in hand to hand combat

In the second instance after he soccer kicked her in the head, he could’ve straight up killed her, but Todo interrupted. This gave her time to recuperate and get back up. If it wasn’t for Todo Fennec would’ve died.
I'm surprised it wasn't pieced together that Omega was a first-gen Jango clone, especially having that *thicc* kiwi accent.

Assassin droids are some of my favorite things in star wars that I feel haven't gotten enough action in the shows and movies. Would be really cool to see IG-88 or a similar assassin droid be sent, especially because droids with these kind of capabilities would be so new at the time.

the only reason this episode didn't do it for me is bc bane j seemed to weak. He used to be a great competition to any one and was the second greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy-second only to boba. I think he was way to weak and would have easily handed it to fenec in his normal self. They Nerf bane bc other wise it would be a total blow out. With bane winning of course. like we saw last episode bane hit hunter right by his heart, now he cant even hit fenec any where.
Bane has a head injury at this point, Continuity wise it make senses he's a bit slower, thats just good writing.

bane is 62 with a part of his head missing. i kinda like how they nerfed him. the bounty hunter during the republic era was bane. now, moving into the imperial era, we all know that the bounty hunter of the imperial era was boba. seeing bane out of his prime adds to the whole republic - empire transition 😅

Yeah, I was hoping that Boba would make an appearance in this season. But hopefully it'll happen in season 2, however I get the feeling that Hunter will get very suspicious about him and a rift will be formed.
If the cybernetic patch on his head is from Boba v Bane, we could see the duel in a flashback either in this show or Book of Boba.
The Book of Boba is said to have flashbacks in it, so it is definitely possible!
I hope they say Boba just grazed Cad Bane’s head if their duel really has happened because I can’t believe that Bane could survive a full headshot.

@@austinpruitt4165 bullets are actually much more deadly, because of the Shockwave they create, especially hallow point, or better yet shotgun pellets. Blasters don't produce as much kinetic energy. The only reason they use blasters in the star wars galaxy is because they melt through armor much more easily, and is still fairly deadly. But blasters are much less effective against flesh than bullets are

I really liked this episode, but I feel like Cad Bane was nerfed a LOT
A. He's getting old
B. The environment much favored fennecs stealth style of combat.
C. He would have won the second fight but was relaying information to todo which caused him to lose focus for a split second.
It's all to make Fennic look good which isn't a good tradeoff. I would have prefered Boba.

Taun We's offscreen death really surprised me. In Legends she was still alive in the Legacy Era. Sad to see her so unceremoniously killed off.
Right? Sometimes that unceremonious approach to a character death makes it hit 10x harder. No dramatic music or touching send off- just a realization that they’re gone.
I think they're killing killing off the kaminoans from Episode 2 to tie up loose ends.

Quick break down on Fennec, Cad, and Obi-Wan:
When Cad was on the run from Obi and Quinlan, Cad was fighting a counterattack style to fend off the Jedi as they pursued him to get a chance to escape. If you watch not once does Cad lose his composure in the fight though. Obi-Wan is notoriously a defensive fighter and largely underestimated Cads cunningness, taking Obi-Wan off guard and furthermore opening a hole for him to escape.
Shand vs Bane however it was Cad who was at first overconfident but was quickly losing his confidence after he seen Fennecs quick thinking and relentless pressure. After the credits were lost and Omega was on the run, the only thing Cad was really fighting for was his reputation so he did not quit and was caught off guard by Shand multiple more times before he overpowered her in hand to hand combat, in which I’m sure he’s more proficient in.
Man thats some bullshit excuses! Bane got nerfed you know it!

I was very sad that Taun We was killed on this episode after having such small screen time because we’ve waited so long to see her after she last appeared in Attack Of The Clones and never appeared in The Clone Wars. She had so much better potential.

Kinda like how Maul underestimated Obi-Wan during their duel on Naboo. And I guess the same thing that happened to Maul happened to Bane. He simply underestimated her I suppose. But then again plot armor so I’m not that mad, just bothered, but all at the end of the day it’s fun to watch.
We probably see Cad Bane in Book of Boba Fett because we would have seen the duell of Boba and Cad or Cad Bane wouldnt have the metal Skull. They don't need to do that but they did it for a point. We could also see Omega in Book of Boba Fett because I doubt they will kill her in Bad Batch
If that show is in the Mando timeline Cad Bane would be 80 years old at that point and his species has a life expectancy of a human so he would be very old.

Great episode! The series could go off in so many different directions. I didn’t like that Cad Bane was get handled by Fennec. He was known to be the best bounty hunter in the galaxy after Jango died and she is fairly new to the bounty hunting at this point in time. But the action was great and Todo is hilarious 😂

I don't think we'll see Vader in this season, and unlikely he'll be around next season either. I mean it took two seasons for Kanan and Ezra to get his attention, and they were Jedi directly opposing the Empire on a single planet, and Vader was obsessed with killing Jedi. I don't see it as reasonable for Vader to take interest in a couple of clones that aren't even really gunning for the empire, in fact they actively avoid the Empire.

Theory- we know from Legends that the Kaminoans are cold, calculating and in many ways emotionless beings. Do not be surprised if Nala Se (sp?) has her own motivations for Omega as an asset and not a daughter figure. There may be another twist yet to come.

Now picture this: omega looks toward hunters body curled on the cold white floor of kaminos corridors. With the hand of lama Su wrapped around her arm pulling her into a lab room she cry’s out with tears streaming down her face “YOU PROMISED HUNTER YOU PROMISED”. The doors close and we can no longer hear Omega And the camera pans towards hunters body with the smoking hole still burned into his chest piece. And then it fades to black and we get a white Bad Batch logo similar to that of the rebels one when Kanin dies.
Damn. That is insane. Also, since it's technically season 8 of the Clone Wars, I wouldn't be surprised even if they do something that dark

Bane’s armor plate on his skull proves that the confrontation between him and Boba did occur but also proves that Bane lived through that ordeal.
Doesn’t mean that a second confrontation isn’t inevitable because I bet Filoni will want to make it official in this epic cinematic animation style between Cad Bane vs. Boba Fett.

I’m thinking that Crosshair’s chip may have been damaged by the burning. They empire may not be able to boost its power to keep him under control. He might be on a mission and kill all of the troopers around him and escape back to the Batch

The fact Taun We, never did anything wrong, her canon information explained that she was gentle and trusting in nature. But was also naive an example, failing to realise that Obi-Wan Kenobi had been unaware of the clone army's existence prior to his arrival on Kamino. According to her Taun We's voice actress she was described as "a creature of love and light, a graceful form that easily glides through life". So, her death hit me hard, as she did nothing wrong she was doing her duty and not realising she was going towards her demise. Another case of casualty of war :( x
This could lead down a very wild path, considering the legends material with regards to clones of not jango but boba being developed under the empire, with some enhancements. I really would love to see them run with this, or some what like it.
