The Aero+Nailbat combo is always nice to see. It may not be most effective way to beat Reno, but it sure as hell is the funniest. I do not understand a point of refocus though. Surely you can just spend your ATB faster then it will ever go past the 2nd bar, right? Could've used tge spot for Enemy Skill or some other materia that is more potent.
Very valid points! Refocus was more for the spectacle I guess lol.
If anyone in FF7 Remake deserved to get whupped with the ugly tree its Reno.

ive never understood how reno and rude are so powerful, is it just materia usage or have they had a similar materia infusion like the soldier program? like where do there abilities, strength and durability come from, same with rufus.
Yea, I've been wondering the same thing. My take is that they are just exceptionally well trained (like Tifa/Yuffie) to be able to keep up with Cloud. By comparison at the time of their first encounter, Cloud doesn't have THAT much battle experience. But Reno's speed, I dunno how any human can get THAT fast through just training lol.
@@Saiyan1C right, i just cant figure out how some people in this universe outside of soldiers from the soldier program and a few others from Cetra lineage's and other "super human" races are so powerful. i mean im no expert but ive played both OG and remake and played and watched most other ff7 games and spin offs but still cant figure out like cid, the turks, barret etc....
@daniel campbell Everyone just has more natural strengths and durabilies im FF7 like how in Crisis Core, Tsung was able to survive a fireball from Genesis only to get up moments later and save Zack from an assult. Nobody in real life could recover that quickly and be capable of a last minute rescue or highly unlikely
honestly i see it as just retroactive power scaling.
i don't think soldiers were originally supposed to be that strong. soldiers were trash mobs only slightly stronger than other shinra guards and other humanoid enemies. What made sephiroth and cloud special were was not the mako infusion but the jenova cells in them. But after going for more over the top "spectacle" rather than realism for advent children, crisis core, and the like. the other named humanoid bosses for ff7 remake had to get a retroactive power scaling to be considered a threat to the party.

@@raysyndrome7209 Tifa is the only other that can do it. Not sure about Yuffie cuz she doesn’t get the opportunity to fight Reno or Weiss.
