Hello Ritam, you can delete backup folder from your computer after copying it to external drive. Make sure you don’t rename your backup folder on external drive, this might give you problems while restoring data in future (iTunes may not read the backup) You can make backups to external drive with few changes in windows settings. Hello Friendly Vikas, thank you for your videos. I've a question about the copying: my computer says: Cant read from the source file. Shall I just skip it? Or better try again, maybe try another date? Or it is damaged and it is useless. Please answer. Thank you!
It copies all data in your iPhone backup to new computer. Now, your iPhone data will not include music, photos and videos if they are added to your iPhone from your computer manually. On the other hand, if you have photos and videos taken from iPhone camera or download from safari, whatsapp, etc., then that will be part of iPhone backup and you would be able to restore that to new iPhone. Do I make sense to you? You need any additional info? 🤔

What is your model identifier on your iPhone XS? I saw the iPhone 4s is 4,1. I have an iPhone 6s and my model identifier is not iPhone 6,1, my iPhone XS is different too.
Since that is not even logical for an iPhone 10s to be labeled 11,2. I'm not sure where you got your information from. Honestly when it comes to this type of things I would like a Apple Guide, Apple Official Manual to back this up. Just because it is not logical to me and I cannot find anything official on it.
I have shown that in the video. Just to iTunes backup location on your mac and copy the entire folder to external hard disk. do not rename the backup folder. That's all!😅

So does this restore all music, photos and data onto my new computer?
It copies all data in your iPhone backup to new computer.
Now, your iPhone data will not include music, photos and videos if they are added to your iPhone from your computer manually.
On the other hand, if you have photos and videos taken from iPhone camera or download from safari, whatsapp, etc., then that will be part of iPhone backup and you would be able to restore that to new iPhone.
Do I make sense to you?
You need any additional info? 🤔
thank you so much for the help
You’re welcome Ujval 😊
Well, if I want to renew the backup copy, will I move it again to the hard disk or is there another way?
you have to move the new backup manually.
Is there a way to undo this process? After creating this symbolic link now I’m willing to unlink the path and create a normal backup to my mac ssd drive instead of external hard drive

Follow second part of the video. I have explained how to remove symbolic link and make itunes use default backup location. 😊

have you found a way to overcome this problem?
Megan Gontier Yes I got most of photos back manually from backup but I used a 3rd party app.
Football Land what’s the name of the app? And did you get them back to your phone?
hi vikas i wanted to ask that suppose i have a lot of data in c drive and want to move to d drive can i copy paste from c to d .. and then delete from c .... to save space . and then whenever next i want to backup i could again copy from d and paste it to the same location in c drive?
Hi Vikas. I have iTunes backup saved up in my hardrive from 2019 from my windows laptop. Now I wish to restore that on my Mac and current ones do not have iTunes store so what should I do? Kindly help as I will be really grateful to have that data back.
What is your model identifier on your iPhone XS? I saw the iPhone 4s is 4,1. I have an iPhone 6s and my model identifier
is not iPhone 6,1, my iPhone XS is different too.
It’s 11.2 for my XS.
This is because apple release 2-3 models every year. So iPhone number and model identifier no longer matches 😄
Since that is not even logical for an iPhone 10s to be labeled 11,2. I'm not sure where you got your information from. Honestly when it comes to this type of things I would like a Apple Guide, Apple Official Manual to back this up. Just because it is not logical to me and I cannot find anything official on it.
How do I store all my files on to an external hard drive so I can then delete them of my Mac to free up space?
I have shown that in the video. Just to iTunes backup location on your mac and copy the entire folder to external hard disk.
do not rename the backup folder.
That's all!😅
