I know this because I have had conversations with companies like RPG and others about doing it. Yes I have a TRX, but brand doesn't change the cost when you are building one of these. Not to mention you could buy an already built truck/machine that is more capable for less.
This truck looks just like the 2019 pax power it so nice 👌 sweet new to see the at4x look like that .
Off topic question. Does the console lock box count as a gun safe?
You need to add the “I identify as a gun safe” sticker for it to count.
I hope Toyota does something with their new Tacoma like Chevy did with the Colorado bison back in 2019... Skid plates all the way underneath front & rear steel bumpers & F&R lockers + few other accessories light bar & winch
Except keep the price below $70K... Maybe 60K
Anyone know today if that bumper will fit a 2023 with the face lift ?
For such insane price, XT1 would be rarely seen in the roads. RAM TRX and Raptor price and performance wise would be much better choices.
Price ruins it. Not worth that much and it doesn't outperform the Raptor or TRX enough to support the massive price difference.
Ram actually stepped into the world in 2009 with the Dodge Ramrunner.
Nahh, may be 250k pasos. I'll stay with my 2020, trail boss.6.2.👍🇺🇸.
250k for 12 inches of front travel? For 2k you can get 10 inches in the front and for 4.5k you can get 19 inches rear. Then add a supercharger for 7k and you’ve got a badass truck.
If you hadn't said that about the TRX, you wouldn't have built it up and created a unreasonable expectation. AND if they hadn't put the price tag so high it would have probably became a huge success.
Chevy should have continued making the chevy reaper . They discontinued it because sales didn't do so good but all things start small and eventually it would have got better. My opinion
They really should make this production but certainly not at 250k. Put at 90k without the extras and then see
Just give us the LT4 from the C7 Z06 as an option in the ZR2. Is that too much to ask? C'mon GM! haha thanks for watching Jon!
@@BrianMello you are correct buddy but, we've been asking for at least that for the past 2+ years! Always watching you bro ✊🏿
I would just want the supercharger for my zr2 !!!
Find out how much that Magnuson supercharger is. It should tack right on.
@@raul-j5g7q there about 7 to 8 thousand then installment then credits for computer probably 5 to 6 grand 14 grand all together. Better than 250 thousand!!!!!
they need to do this as a factory build with the re fresh model
I am so glad I have an awesome off-road fabrication teacher wholly shiznit
Start making parts!
Doesn’t kill anything. I could take any stock truck throw $10s of thousands of mods @ it & say “look better than TRX” - different is, Ram made the TRX from the factory, just like Ford & the Raptor. I hate these comparisons from custom modded “speed shop” type vehicles….Shelby, roush, Hennessy, rocky ridge, black lake, bison, BLOW ME anyone who’s ever modded anything KNOWS you can get all that & then some wrenching on your own vehicle and/or using a local speed/performance shop & make WAY more than a TRX or some XTI nonsense & pay less, & you either way you won’t have a factory warranty…..unless you just buy a Raptor or TRX….& then consider resale value, lol…WHAT RESALE VALUE w/ this junk?
Lifter issues?
Nice. Front end looks better monochrome with black grill
250k is not worth it at all. I could take my truck and put 10k into it and easily be pushing 700+ hp
The HP numbers are backburner compared to the suspension system!
Is this actually going to come out or is this a concept?
You can order this truck already from Black Lake
@@BrianMello so gm isn’t making this? And it isn’t an official truck from Chevy?
Gm was probably more focused on the Escalade V and the C8 zo6
Honestly I wouldn't even want a widebody unless I could afford a second truck. GM..seriously dudes..throw a supercharger and a couple goodies on the newest AT4x or the ZR2 and it will sell buckets
They should have waited. Imagine this monster with the grill and interior of the new ZR2!
Hennessy motorsports takes a Raptor and does this same type of build . Removing the 6 and dropping a supercharged 5.0 making around 1000 HP, If you have the money, there are companies that do this to Ford's and Rams.
why is it the old style grill if its new?
Damn, guess I’ll have to settle for my ZR2. I’m still happy tho. For 250k I would build one from the ground up.
I love it and would love to have one…..but can’t pay that pay that price!
Right there with you, but thanks for watching!
Hey thanks, another great reason to wish I was rich and hate myself for not achieving great wealth yet. Awesome build but ya we still need a sub 6 figure factory built super truck option from GM.
As always..GM is playing catch-up. Well the Party is over and GM is left with cleaning up. They decided not to compete well with the hellcat for years (all the while having a blueprint motor to do much with). GM was is and will be focused on the electric world..to the end. The designers and focus on the market region (look where Buick has heavy sales) and you will understand its direction. The US is an after thought. That is a cold hard fact. Just look at the platforms..they all have gotten smaller. This is a smoke screen.. $250k.. not a chance in hell! Someone in GM is smoking more Parmigiano cheese than Hunter. Stay safe and be well.
They weren't able to build a high horsepower engine that could pass emissions and be reliable. Haven't been able to for many years
Starting at $250k?!?!? 😂😂😂🤭 Yea right. No way I'd be looking into it, certainly not at that price anyway. Maybe around$80-90k.
I’ll wait for the new blown V8 Raptor. It’s coming, trust me. Oh I head the new trx is going to have 2 straight 6s with 8 turbos making 8 hundred horses! No , really what is mopar going to do for a performance truck?
TRX still has more horsepower?.....this truck for the price should definitely have....
No, TRX is 702 to the crank. 650 to the wheels is more.
What about that sounds like it’s the next level after the next level? Does it really look any different than a Chevy with a wide body and off-road bumper?
I was like, “100k, maybe $115k.”🤣
100k down haha
250? Better off just buying yourself a Base Silverado and YouTubing how to's save yourself 150k easy. 😭
I'm sure whoever is ordering one, doesn't have any interesting in the DIY approach haha thank for watching!
I love the truck. $250 is pretty steep.
Brutal price tag, but it is essentially a full race ready build. Def a few dollars out of my price range haha
BM: You don't know why gm has slept on the idea? Maybe because Mary Barra has done nothing but lose market share in all the truck segments. As she was an Obama appointee,it shouldn't be no surprize> As a GM loyalist it kills me this ZR2 truck is in the price range of the TRX ,707HP vs 420HP, feels like "we suck again"
What made me mad was GM bringing out that stupid Hummer the money they wasted on that garbage they could have made a truck like this one and sold it to the masses for 100 000 dollars per truck so we could all have one
Dude that's essentially what the hummer cost and cab do more than any of trucks or there.
I wish they would put that 700 horsepower engine into their 1-ton pickup truck so you can use it to tow RVs instead of having to buy a diesel
Thank you so much.
If you stare at a wall watching paint dry , you're seeing the same thing Black Lake sees on there order list.
For that price, I’d rather bring my truck to Kibbetech.
The only thing that comes to mind is "George Thorogood & The Destroyers"
Again a truck we all want but cant afford
Brian, 1st & foremost I am not insulting U. But the hat, wear a fitted or turn it around. The strap across the forehead is not you. Same with the black “beanie” lose it. Bet your viewer/subscriber numbers will increase. I wrote this and deleted at first.
Your channel is great & informative. Keep up the great job!
The hats are me though, I've been wearing them forever! If my hats stop someone from subscribing, I'm ok with it haha Thanks for watching Brad!
Female CEO is what happened to GM.
I cracked up when they said it’s worth 250k. Might as well just buy a TRX and put more Horse Power 😂
Just wait for the new Silverado ZR2 rhino 🦏 coming out next year 🤙🏽👍🏽
Jst wait! You just wait til the 2025 Raptor-Z comes out! You'll be sorry!
You could buy 3 trx"s at that price and pay the tax on them. At that price tag seems like they're not interested in selling very many.
What about the Mammoth Trx? That kills everything
Why is everyone making super charged trucks and cars when the speed limit which has been forgotten is 70 mph??
For that price, the engine had better recycle the exhaust into re-usable fuel, especially at the price of gas where it is now.
I want that front bumper for my 2019 LTZ Z71
Wow, just WOW. Now that is a Chevy truck
They’ve always had the affordable sports car and would blow the market out the water with the affordable off-road truck with the LT4 but instead they stamp a large sticker price on the ZR2….. depressing…. And this truck $250k give me a break….. just upgrade the suspension components on the ZR2 with flared fenders and the LT4 at a less sticker price than the raptor/TRX and you take the market
How much without the carbon fiber?
Those fenders are hideous. Ide rather have the paxpower jackal silverado
The XT1 is a bad-ass truck, and I commend Black Lake for doing something that GM will likely never do. However, no one but the top 5% would be able to buy this. Why spend 250k for a truck when you can get a TRX or a Raptor fully specked. I love Chevy, but I don't love em that much.
I have a RockyRidge K2 Edition with the 6.2. I can put a SC of my choice on it and pull just as much, if not more HP for 15k. That is everything from parts to tune. 250k that is stupid.
I was going to say $350k! Still cheaper that a F-35!
I can literally just pay less than 15K for that magnuson supercharger and another 3-4K for a little extra on my 21 Silverado, I can for sure get it to 650HP of even more instead of paying $250K for a truck 😂😂😂
Its a hyperpickup. Like a 4x4 but in a hyper car class.
That thing ain’t going to beat a RAM TRX in anything
I was thinking $120,000 .. but at $250,000 it’s only fun to think about….
hell naw!! they’re crazy, for that price i better be getting a full on baja 1000 ready trophy truck with a pit crew lol. the only thing that truck has going for it is that it’s early. give it time and there will be plenty of aftermarket companies pumping out long travel suspension kits and wide body kits for them soon enough and for the cost of the truck brand new $70k+ plus another $30k for suspension and body work and another $20k for motor work you could have a better, faster truck for half the cost 🤷♂️
Exactly man!
It's great for the military.
I'm a GM fan for sure, but come on!!! The TRX has more power, not to mention a lot cheaper. Come on GM you can do better than this mod. Good looking truck no doubt, can you say STICKER SHOCK!!!!
TRX has 702hp to the crank. This has 650hp to the wheels. Not saying this is worth it!
