I have gotten so much better since I started but I’m still no where near where I wanna be and no where near the legend status that these greats are. In Spanish there is a rapper named Cancerbero who has a song called "Es Epico", where he describes the hypothetical murder of a person named Carlos (name chosen at random), he describes his death on the sidewalk after killing him and his going to the hells. In real life he died after killing his producer, bass player of a reggae band, name Carlos, and throwing himself out the window and falling on the sidewalk (the way he died is very suspicious and many people believe that he did not kill Carlos) but everything It happened just like his song. He also had another song that was sung to him at his funeral, the lyrics specifically say that at his funeral they yell at him "run away, death will take you"

    The better Nipsey Hussle cover would be on his song "ocean views" Verse 3 when he says:
    Then when I die, blue rag around my rifle,
    Hunnid thousand in my coffin, that's just light dough,
    Play a Stevie Wonder song, smoke some flight bro,
    Crack a pint of Act then pour in some Sprite bro,
    Until that day I'm walking toward what's in my sight though,
    Now we all know Stevie Wonder performed at his funeral. But the weirdest part was when he said "until that day". He's definitely talking about the day he dies and if you check the timestamp on the song, it actually falls under 3:31. Nip died on 3/31/2019. Now I ain't no conspiracy theorist but this one here is the weirdest coincidence I've ever encountered.

    Mac Miller rapped about himself dying off of overdose lots of times, the whole Faces mixtape is basically about that, what hurts here it's that Mac didn't just accidentally said something that turned out to become reality, he said all this stuff knowing that it was really possible that it would happen, he knew he had problems with drug addiction and that it was ruining his life, he expressed his love for drugs and how much they were ruining his life hundreds of times, so when it actually happened and he died it was super sad and depressing.
    Lots of rappers rap about them killing people or being close to death, but only a few like Tupac, Biggie and Snoop said all that stuff because they actually lived a dangerous life where murder and death was a common thing.

    • @pepearown4968
      @pepearown4968 2 года назад

      The first line on Faces is “Should’ve died already.”
      This would’ve been like 4 or 5-ish years before his death, so he knew that he was living recklessly in that time frame. Though, songs from Macadelic like Vitamins show that he was aware even before making Faces, so that would’ve been something he would’ve lived with knowing for like 6-7 years.

    Not a rap, but one of the creepiest songs that predicts an artist's death is Michael Jackson's _Morphine,_ a 1997 song in which he sings about his addiction to painkillers, with lyrics such as "Trust In me, just in me, put all your trust in me, you're doing Morphine!" And with Ad-Libs such as "I'm Going Down Baby." All of this was over 12 years before his death, in which he'd die of a propofol overdose.

    If we think about the idea, structuring it in rhyme form, studio session, project completion, release and wait for the people to Bob their head to it; ALL while not really listening until YEARS later catching these bars....I mean it goes wayyy further back on what truly the insight is for these artists to deliver the masses an eerie feel through song.
