If you do ever think about upgrading the tyres, you can fit 28mm on the 8.9 rim brake version. If you use something like the Silca tyre pressure calculator, you can greatly increase comfort and stop harshness and vibrations by lowing the psi of your tyres.
Shimano 105, aero features and 9kg - at that price point there doesn't seem any other contender. UK brand, too. Upgrade to decent wheelset later on and could probably get the weight down to 8.5kg - what more could you ask for, really
I have a 8.9 SLR it's a really decent bike i would recommend upgrading the wheels they are the single worst thing about the bike i got dt swiss pr1600 not too expensive and made a big difference.
