Most people dont realize how fun martial arts actually is then when they find one that fits theor comfort zone its addictive as hell. Thats why I cant recommend them enough
I walked into a bjj Gym 18 months ago. I got triangled by a Purple belt Girl in Like 15 Seconds in my First class. That was the Moment i knew i Want to learn that Shit. Im a Bluebelt 1 Stripe now, teach Kids classes and will train until i die. It really changed me as a Person
One thing you never see is most celebs focusing on traditional karate, etc. Most like Russell Brand, Demi Lovato, Keanu Reeves all doing bjj. Glad to see Idris and RDJ focused on striking arts.
There's a clip, iunno which platofrm it's originally from, but shows what 18mph looks like on different people. Shorter runners look like Sonic while the taller ones look less impressive. It's a really good demonstration of what you were talking about regarding lankey fighters looking a little awkward.
you're like the only youtuber that when they react to something actually reacts to it, rather than just stealing the original content and putting your face in the corner
i didnt take karate as a kid. always wanted to but could not becausei am disabled. i can only take it now because i am going to an online dojo where you are able to train as much or as little as you want as i can not make it through an entire training session, i can only be physical for a really short amount of time and even then i am not able to do much. it also means i dont need to spar as i would get really hurt (brittle bones and cerebral palsy, fnd and crps)
Seth, if you wanna watch Irish Elba's fight and fight camp he did a 3 part documentary on it called Irish Elba: Fighter. I think it was for Discovery Channel.
Some kickboxers dont use a lot of sideways movement, and just focus on walking the other guy down and keeping a tight guard. A bit muay thai style (marching forward and going for the knock out). And your point about leglocks is so true.. I think thw whole saddle and 50/50 positions are the most boring part of jiu jitsu (but I'm just a white belt, so what do I know).
Tbh, when I was competing in judo, when someone gets an armbar, no need to get hurt. I'd just tap out. I was a fan of chokes and was going hard on them in competitions, I don't want to experience someone going hard on my arm.
i took martial arts for a couple of years starting when i was 8. when i was 11 my mom got diagnosed with kidney disease and was put on dialysis twice a day. The dojo was 45 min away so needles to say that my martial arts career was over. i got to yellow belt in koro ken karate at Vermont Martial Arts Acadamy, Sensei Rick Marallo. He is still teaching to this day. I got to participate in one tournament and got a bronze metal, i still have the metal but lost the gee and belts. I got a job at 14 and martial arts was out the window. But i did get a heavy bag and a bob and every once in a while, i will practice my kicks and punches. I do miss it. I wanted to get back into it over the years, but I get concussions very easily, after a few injuries to the head so I'm afraid that if i do and get a bad enough concussion it could kill me.
Mark Zuckerberg does martial arts? He’s not terrible at it, just (as Icy Mike says) HANDS UP!!! But some of the celebrities actually do good. And I like how well they do
Hey sensei Seth...can you come to B.C. Canada and train with Bill Wolfe ? (or maybe a different option or location) There is a really good and recent interview on "karate canucks" youtube channel with Bill...its very good...his training is like nothing youve done before...its very effective...anyway, ty and i hope you can make this meeting work.
You should check out Caity Lotz doing martial arts training. She's the lead on Legends of Tomorrow and from what I can see she takes her training super seriously
Caity Lotz is a different breed from the others in this video. She was a professional dancer doing ballet, contemporary, hiphop and breakdancing, touring with Lady Gaga. She went into acting and trained in stunt fighting, parkour and tricking, performing in Arrow, Legends and the Flash for almost ten years.
Idris took Thai Boxing as a younger man and his friend and fellow actor Warren Brown trained him for his fight a few years ago.. Warren Brown was a world MT champion before he got into acting
Enjoyed the video, as always, but ...only JJR was actually doing a martial art, and he only spoke about it. All the others were doing (“hand to hand”) fighting sports. Not quite the same.
Idk if theirs clips of it but I know of Edward Norton talking about training in aikido & Hannibal Buress talking about training in Muay Thai on Joe Rogan. Howard Stern has claimed to be a brown belt in Shotokan Karate which I’d like to see but I took the comment with a pinch of salt lol Elodie Yung who played Elektra in the Netflix Daredevil Series is a black belt in karate apparently (Just because I love her) there is footage of Jennifer Garner boxing in preparation for the movie Peppermint Then there’s the obvious movie martial arts guys like JCVD, Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren etc
A lot of mma gyms have workout equipment, and you get trained when you go there. If you subscribed to a personal trainer it could be hundreds a month, versus 50 a month for an mma gym. Or you could just go to a regular gym and workout on your own but unless you are a disciplined monk you aren't going to get the same results
Dude, look at Ludicrous 52 Blocks training that he then used in FF 7 clip. He's very accomplished. Also, Mario Lopez boxing is no joke! He spar with pros from time to time.
Mario Lopez was a legit combat sports athlete. He won CIF (the CA state high school wrestling tournament); CA is largely known as one of the toughest state wrestling tournaments, because although it doesn't have the same tradition or reputation as say Iowa, Minnesota, Oklahoma, etc., it only has a single state tournament (almost every other state has divisions based on school size, somewhat akin to DI, DII, DIII, etc. for college) and still has plenty of rural/farmboy areas where wrestling thrives (particularly Bakersfield), not to mention its gigantic population size. Sorry for the spiel, I was a CA wrestler, so I get a bit prideful :-D.
@@xanderxue5864 I didn't know about his wrestling background, other than his Slater character, and that he did pretty well in California. Good to know he's a well rounded athlete. Keeping pride in your abilities is great also!
hello Seth!..ZUckerbergs Trainings footage looks like he Konws whts comming next?..Did you see the low(miiddle kick he blocks with his shin...he already had the block Up,even the other fighter just started the KIck....What do you think about his footage? is it manipulated,so Zuckerberg looks better than he is?
Can you react to the original "Iceman" Jean Yves Theriault? He's a legend in full contact karate (above the waist kickboxing) with a record of 69 wins (61 KOs)-6 losses- and 1 draw.
Most people dont realize how fun martial arts actually is then when they find one that fits theor comfort zone its addictive as hell. Thats why I cant recommend them enough
yea martial arts is the healthiest drug there is
I walked into a bjj Gym 18 months ago. I got triangled by a Purple belt Girl in Like 15 Seconds in my First class. That was the Moment i knew i Want to learn that Shit.
Im a Bluebelt 1 Stripe now, teach Kids classes and will train until i die.
It really changed me as a Person
Also, everyone should learn to fight. Then people would fight way less.
It’s so fun
If i could afford not to work i would just train martial arts.
And this is what I'm doing at the moment I'm a lucky person
Zuck's AI is learning from 8 million videos and images of Martial Arts. It takes a while to upload but it'll get there.
Lol 😂
He is being thought by the ai sensei
Zuck: I know kung fu
Neo: Show me
He'll still look awkward though. Until they can build him a more advanced, humanlike body. He's still a bit too early model Data.
He’s going full Joe 90.
"This is my reaction video ,buddy! Stop taking!" 💀
Though sometimes it's rather painful to watch, at least celebrities are making people pay attention more to martial arts.
Now you need to create a tier list of which martial arts celebrities you could beat in a fight, could even be a collab
That Bane dialogue killed me 🤣
Same😂
Now all i can think about is Tom Hardy doing BJJ and just wishpering things to his apponent in his Bane voice.
Dude He played his character well.
Make Zuckerberg vs paddy the baddy pimblett
Apparently Mark Zuckerburg took that call-out quite seriously!
@@adcyuumi fr
Paddy would bury Zucc
I’d love to see it
Just give Zuck 8 years to train and drink adrenochrome
Hearing you explain what leglocks look like to you is something I didn't know I needed to hear 😂
That owen Wilson edit was on point 😂👍
Idris Elbas kickboxing reminds me of how I used to kickbox. Simple but lots of power. Sometimes, you just go with your strengths
One thing you never see is most celebs focusing on traditional karate, etc. Most like Russell Brand, Demi Lovato, Keanu Reeves all doing bjj. Glad to see Idris and RDJ focused on striking arts.
Also Ed I’Neil ( Al bunny ) has been doing it since the 90’s
Can't really fault them for protecting their money-maker
Wing chun isn’t really a striking art. It’s extreme patty cake.
@@F76CC why you gotta be so…accurate

Yep, here it is. ruclips.net/user/shortsgR2_gdT_SHo?feature=share
Tom hardy has some damn good sparring footage too. Didn't look like realistic padwork
1. The Tropic Thunder joke killed me.
2. Gal Gadot served in the IDF, so I wonder if there's any vids of her training Krav Maga.
Mark's robot overlords downloaded some MMA into his cpu, that's why he's so good.
THANK YOU FOR THE LANKY ARM REP I'M WEEPING RN 😭
Do I sense a possible collab with the Strangle Gang? I'd watch that. Steven Strangles People and Sensei Seth sharing some knowledge would be awesome.
The bane voice was on point.
Tom hardy boxes too, he is a beast
you're like the only youtuber that when they react to something actually reacts to it, rather than just stealing the original content and putting your face in the corner
The steven strangles people reference
I know you did something similar but could you review an old school karate tournament ?
i didnt take karate as a kid. always wanted to but could not becausei am disabled. i can only take it now because i am going to an online dojo where you are able to train as much or as little as you want as i can not make it through an entire training session, i can only be physical for a really short amount of time and even then i am not able to do much. it also means i dont need to spar as i would get really hurt (brittle bones and cerebral palsy, fnd and crps)
Keep grinding man, keep grinding.
Maybe focus more on self defense then? At least you could train something specific to your own situation and fully develop it. And it's useful......
Karate is self defense. Martial Arts is Self-defense.
You are a rock! Keep training!
Idris Elba is already a great actor and seeing him do martial arts pretty well is super cool
Great video, Even more gooder humor

Hi Seth, love your reacts. Could you do more sumo content?
8:53 Thats my kru (master) training idris (aslo a homie of mine) in muay thai, nice
There's a clip of Jack Black throwing a really good tornado kick in a Live performance somewhere.
Seth reacting to jiu jitsu had me dying when he said he got swept I was like welp
I'm going to have to go back and watch the video on if you're not wearing gloves don't use your hands to block? What do you use then? Movement?
Very cool thank you
Definitely love to see a part 2
Was that Jessica Alba at 8:11? She is a legit black belt in taekwondo I believe. Nice to see she still trains a bit, if that is her.
Anthony Bourdain rolled at our gym while he was in Chicago. Sadly I missed it
Would be cool to see something like this on celebrities who are karatekas.

Tom Hardy took up BJJ after filming "Warrior" (great movie, recommend it) and recently won some big tournament. So he's legit. 🔥
He's just a normal guy with a LOT of money, people freak out when someone with a high status does something normal people do lol
I don't think anyone who has ever seen Mark Zuckerberg give an interview would describe him as "normal"

Just saying it would get a lot of views.😂
Keeping bare hands next to your face leads to your hands being pushed into face when taking a hit and you basically punch yourself.
He says that this is HIS reaction video and that the guy, who made the reaction video, needs to stop talking. 😎 Epic. 😎
