The Laws and Principles of the Aquarian Age, briefly, are: Right Human Relations, Goodwill ,Group Endeavour, Unanimity, Spiritual Approach and Essential Divinity. When I was young and this song was a big hit, I really believed we were past wars and other horrible, destructive human behaviors. Pretty damn naïve from my perspective as an old man seeing how wrong I was. Now I believe it is just an integral part of human nature to resist what I still consider to be higher values and behaviors. Our technology and environment continues to change but the base instincts stubbornly remain.

⭕️ This beeeeeautoful song is from the Age when Covid and Floyd were conceived in the womb of Marxism.
“Age of Aquarius” is actually the building of ‘the tower of Babel’.
Or putting into practice the advice of the serpent on the tree in the garden of Eden.
“You don’t need God, you can be like God”, he said.
WEF, Obama, China, the turncoat Deep State. In short Marxism. Neo Marxism. Pragmatic and cunning, as opposed to the dogmatic and clumsy previous

They were supposed to do a live television version of it in 2019 (similar to the Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music and others they have done over the past few years). It was cancelled due to complaints about the show glorifying drug use. Some things never change. I was so disappointed!

Jay...This song came from the Musical "Hair" and was one of the best songs in the show. The reason everyone is singing here is that when the song was done in the show the entire cast sung it. The 5th Dimension really did a great arrangement and brought the song to the mainstream radio popular audience.
    Not just the Theater goers.
It's a shame that most groups today just don't have the talent we all took for for granted back then in the 70's. I'm glad you discovered it. The 5th Dimension were one of the best singing acts back in those days. *cheers*

I think that subliminally this is a call to Christ. The first is a promise (mind’s true liberation) with Aquarius representing Christ’s Living Waters. The second is a call to let Christ in. Let the sun ( Son, Jesus) shine in. Open up your heart! When you’re alone let Jesus shine in. The last scene looks to me like the Sermon on the Mount. At the very end, Jesus is the “light of the world” (John 8:12) and the young woman is running towards Christ’s salvation. This is a very Christian group, you had it right when you said it felt like church. This song was loved by everyone all over the world. You can see why God blessed these beautiful people with this wonderful song.

The Fifth Dementions were so ahead of their time with this song. The song explains what the age of Aquarius is. Everything about this song speaks to spiritually, from the mystical music to the lyrics that accompany it, makes you want to rise and be apart of the experience. I love & still enjoy the 5th Dementions❣
Ps... perhaps " Stone Soul Picnic " would be a good choice for the next song 🎶

Aquarius /Let The Sunshing In, are both songs from the hit broadway show HAIR from the 1960's. The show about hippies and their anti war protest thinking. Billy Davis Jr. who song the last of the song was the son of a baptist preacher and was use to ad-libbing in the choir. He was chosen to sing the end of the song and totally ad-libbed the whole thing at the the recording session. The 5th Dimension were really a very popular group. Other songs to check out from them are Up Up and Away, One Less Bell To Answer, Stone Soul Picnic, Working on a Groovy Thing and Sweet Blindness. Also you should check out the theme song HAIR, the broadway musical, that was also a huge hit for a group called The Cowsills.
