Yes, very hard knowing that Barry is the only one left. Funny thing is Barry was the eldest of the four with Andy being the youngest, yet Andy was the first to pass and Barry will be the last. I guess sometimes life happens in reverse order but It will be a VERY sad day for us all when Barry is gone. I hate even thinking about it... :>\

@@JayveeTV You DO realize you have to watch Saturday Night Fever right? If you really want to know what our nightlife was like here in NYC and to some extent around this country in most of the bigger cities~that is the FULL experience ok? TRUST ME it was a lotta fun sliding into clubs with my fake ID back then! The whole movie is shot AT Studio 54 which was the biggest and best club in NYC not just for disco. It jusy aoesys was tje best club period cuz every rock star AND performer AND movie star used to party there EVERY night of the week. Whether they were coming off a show or lived in NYC and had gone out for the night or just finished doing their concert and went out to party afterwards....eventually they ALL ended up at Studio 54 ok? After Studio 54 they might drift over to The Limelight but it was ALWAYS Studio 54 FIRST. I'm Brooklyn born but raised out on Long Island so a lotta me & my friends wud either all pile into a car and split the parking. Or just take the LIRR "Bar Car" into Penn Station and just hit the city. Yeah any time there's a game like the Yankees or a concert was going on in nyc~the Long Island RR had an unofficial "Bar Car" hoing on inside of it. Yeah...party people in the house BABY! You'd bring your case of beers on the train for the trip and sime cups and some bottles and pretty much everybody in at least one car was the BAR CAR and we all shared our shit and got loaded. IF you watched to party then you had to toke up quickly in the bathroom or right between stops by standimg one foot on the platform and hold the doors open LONGER a few minutes! Nobody stopped us or sau3d shit...THEY don't want 100 drunken ppl getting pissed off! Theres 70 seats plus whoever's squished in the aisles ok? LOL! Our nights out here WERE GREAT! This music just happened to be what they were working on when the director was searching for a soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever and the Bee Gees agreed to have there music used for the movie And that was at height of the Disco era. The Bee Gees became the face of Disco. But they were and are more than that. The soundtrack is the most successful soundtrack of any movie of all time and it's because of the Bee Gees.

I love disco! You get to revive it JayVee, you are bringing it to your generation! So so many great disco songs, BeeGees were definitely the disco kings! (and great artists in 60s as you know) Try Disco Inferno by The Trammps and 'dont stop til you get enough' by Michael Jackson, (not live) some other great disco hits!

So nice to see all of the brothers singing together. When I hear reactors say that they wish they could go back into the day when the music was playing and was popular.... they were really cool days, Jay. I too wish you could have been there cause I know you would have been groovin' with us all. Thanks for your reaction..... take care and be well. Peace.

This is part of Saturday night Fever. John Travolta stars in the film. Andy is next to Maurice. Not part of the Bee Gees perse but joined them for this concert. You found a great live performance from their tour :) The Bee Gees wrote much more than disco but they ARE disco lol. Thanks for sharing and have a great day. Fanny good one - I think you also said you will do Tragedy - and if you can find it, there is a video that shows behind the scenes of them recording it.

At some point early 70's this band we loved so much, The BeeGee's "went disco". I suppose we have forgiven them. But take a listen to the authentic original BeeGee's who have been mostly forgotten. Try "I've Just Gotta Get a Message to You" from 1968.

John Travolta and the Bee Gees made Saturday Night fever the absolute legend of a film it is. John went through intense dance training for his parts in the film. The Bee Gees put together the music that would specifically suite the movie and dancing in a very short period of time. There were so many other things going on when they were shooting! Adding to the chaos the Bee Gees tracks were changed in tempo upon realise. Enough to throw Travolta and dance teachers out of sync. They were able to rework it all out and release it. They had no Idea the legend of a movie, sound track, disco phenomenon it would become! Everyone involved in the the music and dancing of the film were incredibly talented, ahead of their time and emmensly gifted in a way that's so rare these days.

Andy Gibb was not in on the recording of this song but he was a guest on their Spirits tour in 1979 where the these clips are from.
If Fanny is going to be your next song then you are in for a treat. Nights On Broadway from 1975 was the first song where they used the Falsetto voice and on Fanny they try to play a little more with it. You could say that it gets a little too much in the end but it is in overall a fantastic song.

I was a 70's kid, so I grew in this cool era. My Grandmother took my brother & me to see Saturday Night Fever on a Saturday night. It seemed like everybody from the neighborhood was there. This may sound silly, but I felt like I had my first club experience through film at 12yrs old, long before I was even able to set foot inside a club.
