  • I show what application method works best for me when applying Gyeon CanCoat.
    A great versatile product that falls in between a sealant and coating. Excellent product for those wanting to get into coatings.

      Not bad, it's better than most if not all sealants I've used for water beading and seems to be less effected from cleanings. I think the product is decent for what it is but personally feel Tac System Moonlight offers more in terms of durability (has a significantly higher concentration of SiO2) and is arguably a borderline coating (sitting at about 50% with CanCoat at 35%) not a massive difference but certainly noticeable.
      Moonlight can also be a good bit cheaper depending on where you live, can be harder to find in some areas (which effects pricing) but for products like this the biggest problem tends to be shelf life. Both give you a generous amount but unless you use both frequently than it doesn't really matter how much you get as it will go bad before the bottle is empty.
      I feel in this respect a smaller bottle at a cheaper price point could bring both more business.

      I applied it to my 2019 Tacoma. I’ve had it on there for about two months and it seems to be doing fine. It’s nothing special like I had hoped it would be though. Probably could have achieved just as comparable gloss and protection from Sonax or Adams for a little cheaper though. Still, not a bad option.

    how did you see the gyeon primer, what did you like about, and what did you not like if there any?

      Gyeon Primer is a great primer polish. The only thing I don't like about it is that at times it can dust quite a bit.

    carpro reflect, carpro essence, gyeon primer, which one of these do you recommend me to get?
    Thanks.

      All three are good options. Reflect will have more cut that Essence and Gyeon Primer. I would say Reflect would be a good choice. If you have super soft paint then Essence would be my recommendation.

      @@MikeGDetailing On Gyeon's page it says if you wait 24 hours between primer and coating you don't have to prep. I know you recommend prepping regardless correct? I know Corey still says to prep with Essence.

    15 months is darn good. So one applicator pad is enough to do a car?

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Yes one is enough. CanCoat is great. Just remember to spray away from the car so you don't end up with silica dots all over the place.

      @@MikeGDetailing Cool deal. Thanks Mike (and yes, I'll remember to spray away)

    when your applying it, how often do you change the applicator pad? also, how often do you change the side of the towel that you do the initial wipe with?

      Enduro Ireland depending on the size of the vehicle you can get away with one applicator. I tend switch to a new initial wipe off towel if doing a second layer.
