    Thank you for this recipe !!!! Luckily was able to buy this exact same chillies at my local Indian grocery they only had these in stock. Love that it is not that spicy yet gives you fantastic color.

      shyamala genupur , this is for tomato rasam and as you can see the powder will turn black. Always add hand grounded pepper in the boiling rasam to have best result!

    Ingredients for udipi rasam
    Dhaniya 1 and half hand
    Jeera half of ur hand+1 teaspoon
    Vendhayam quarter of ur hand
    chillies 25 numbers
    Curry leaves 15 numbers
    Hing 1and half teaspoon
    Coconut oil 5 teaspoon

      In udipi rasam, we dont use pepper...
      If we want pepper rasam, only then we will add pepper..

    Sir. Thank you so much for the amazing recipe. I have followed your instructions and made udipi rasam powder. Will be making the rasam tomorrow so far rasam powder smells awesome. I really love instructions and effort you to take small things which really matter amature like me.
