The Regular Show flash games pretty much shown that Regular Show genuinely had potential in any category, genre or format and I'm sad that the game that would actually be on a console turned out like that.
To me, Close Enough ironically never hit that same level as enjoyment that I get from just rewatching Regular Show. And I think thats in large part due to the limitation Regular Show had, being a marketed kids show that tried to push boundaries to be enjoyable for adults. I think those limitations forced Quintel and the other staff members to be more creative and ultimately create a better show
If you take us at our WayForward's Adventure Time, then you must also take us at our Wayforward's Regular Show. They tried their best, as WayForward always does!
I used to own this game and practically brute forced my way though it. The final world in particular was so agonisingly frustrating and visually boring. Two fun tidbits: 1) Sometimes when jumping on enemies, Mordecai and Rigby will just...clip out of the level. Instant death. For no reason. That was fun when near the end of the level. 2) If you collect all the golden VHS tapes or beat the game (I can't remember) you unlock a game genie esc cheat screen where you can input codes. I cannot find a single code online or anyone talking about it, so this will probably haunt me for the rest of my days.
I believe it’s from the VHS tapes lol I miss games having cheat codes. I used to copy down the Lego Star Wars codes from the old Beckett magazines onto a notecard in my pocket since I was 8 years old and broke lol

So hear me out, if this was good, and kept the game style switching mechanic, keep the shmup and top down segments, but then replace mordecai and Rigby with mussel man during the platforming, and have him play like wario from wario land 4, H5G could be a pacman refrence used to travel tight networks of pipes, and pops would have a small puzzle section, like, he would take over, and place blocks for mussel man to pass, it would be cool
@brojuiceboys I know, man, also for the final boss, have it make you play through all 5 gameplay styles before co trolling skips in a 1v1 competitive fighting game (skips would probably play like Ryu)

There was a 3ds game for gravity falls as well. And while it was short it was a fairly decent platformer. I suggest it if your looking for another game

For a Regular Show game, i would have loved to see the game to present itself as a shitty, generic 2d platformer, only for the final boss to alter the game into a hyper-realstic, gritty, 3D brawler (Dark Souls x Fist of the North Star) It would be so fitting considering how the gimmick of a Regular Show episode is that the beggining is regular, but by the end some magic fuckery happens.
This game looks terrible but I loved the video! I remember Grudgeball and the mobile beat-em-up game being good if anyone wants to try an actually good regular show game
