I've seen lots of vans turn camper.......but my opinion is Forest's is the best of them all. Genius at everything. Should be a millionaire.
This guys humor is better than like 80% of comedians, subtle and top notch.
Subtle. (Sorry. HAD to.)
You are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G: cinematographer extraordinaire, mountain man, chef supreme, and perfectly on point slightly cynical comedian. Your videos are a delight at every level. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and share with us lesser beings.
Thank you Susan 😊
Well said. Best guy on you tube.
Totally agree. Always a good day when your videos are out!
Chill She's a Botanist...
Would you do it with him?
Walmart thank you for allowing people who live in camper Vans stay in your parking ground.
You are the best.
God bless you the more.
It's fantastic. Here in the UK most supermarkets have numberplate cameras and 2 hour time limits. Totally mad when they're closed and huge car parks are completely empty.
Watching a man make a mighty delicious chicken Parm inside of what looks like a mini van in the middle of freezing Blizzard. God Bless Canada 🇨🇦
bro that shit looks nasty
Come to Las Vegas Nevada USA you can see cheeks clapping like it's going out of style; God Bless America 🇺🇲 USA 🦅⭐
chicky chicky parm parm*
Hahaha wonderful comments
Jason from Maryland here
Man, took a half day from work, came home with a huge burger with tater tots,...AND now I've got FORESTY FOREST video! This is great!!
I know, right?! Life is so good.
@Mathew Lipperd
Hah naw, there's a local place in Rockville MD, bar & grille style.
I build a custom... Med/well, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, pepperjack melted over the whole thing, locks toppings in, and helps the BC crumbles to melt down a lil.... It's kinda of a 'oh my gawd' moment! I'm there every Monday.
@@sharonbice4119
I 👍 your dog day video!
@Mathew Lipperd
Oct '19 I flew to Idaho to buy an old Jeep. Spent 4 days driving back home. Came up through Lolo Pass into Montana, then it's was I-90 East from Missoula to Pennsylvania, so I was on the Indiana portion the whole way. I stayed at a Hotel in South Bend for a night, around the corner from a Notre Dame game.
I dig the West, too rat race in the DC area
@@jeepersdelight you’re killing me!!
Your humor comes from any direction at anytime and as dry as the finist wine.. love it
I’ve always wondered what a truck stop bathroom looked like. This video provided a tiny glimpse. It’s enjoyable watching you chuckle at the effects of whiskey.
My gosh the cinematography this young man does is absolutely amazing! Fabulous.
One thing that will probably help you a lot is to go to a Goodwill store and buy a couple of stainless steel table spoons forks and knives so that you will have something on hand all the time that doesn’t break
While you’re there it would probably be good to also get a nylon or Lexan tablespoon or something a little bit bigger so that you’ll have something reliable to stir with but you can still eat with it so you can eat everything out of the same pan without creating a lot of dirty dishes and the extra work it takes to clean everything up/
Years ago I bought a couple of the Lexan fork spoon knife combinations from Walmart for $.75 each and they have lasted for many years
The beating your meat gag with the yelling from inside the van had me in stitches lol
Very clever ☺️
😭😂on g
Me too
I was dying.🤣🤣🤣
That was pure comedy gold, lol.
EXCELLENT VLOG. THE SNOW AND MOUNTAINS ARE UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL. APPRECIATE THE CANADIAN ACCENT !!
This was actually really entertaining for a guy living in a van
all the rest of his videos are entertaining can't get enough !
I know you have a bigger van now, but these and your bike trips vds are classic all time favorites.
Its funny how yesterday I discovered your channel and can't get enough of you trekking it out in the snow. Im from Florida, and honest to god Ive only seen snow once, and that was after it had fallen lol, so much respect to what you do and how you live, its impressive.
Irrespective of how many kitted out vans I get to see, none are anything like this, this is particularly special!
The superb ergonomics, modern tiny studio appeal, designed and built to fit it's owner and his requirements, this is perfection!
This van merits a book on it!
I love how happy you seem in solitude. I need to take notes asap! Be safe out there 🤍
5:51 this is perfection, captures the moment of bliss and anticipation of entering the mountain region
If there's a will there's a way for people to get out of high price Rent.
When you have kids that's a different story. But don't worry what people THINK ABOUT YOU... BE HAPPY.
I mean, as long as he's truly happy then that's all that matters.
I did this for a short while. I wasn’t doing RUclips, so I ran out of funds. lol
Wonder 01 Lewis - I 💗 your comment!!
Paying rent is a waste of money
The baby wipe idea is great. I might suggest that you don’t have carry pans to cook, as long as you have hub caps.
Lol 😆
Simply amazing. Great to see you are still having fun. Thank you so much for sharing.
All you need in life is a good beer, triple bacon cheeseburger and a Foresty Forest adventure video.
Yeah man. Pretty jelly of this dude. I work 9 to 5 paying the mortgage wasting my life away in a job I don’t want to be in. To exhausted do what I want todo when I get home.
The drone footage is lovely. Great little film. Glad I’m helping provide, along with all the other folks, all those breadcrumbs.
I know I appreciate you!!! Thank you and everybody else for pitching in to help Foresty out. These videos he makes are the highlight of the week for so many people who are stuck inside for several months with coronavirus. Seriously cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH 👏👏👏💯💯💜💜💜
Forestry forest he lives in a van
I couldn’t live without heat in winter, but it would be awesome to have your own van home to travel in and see the US.
Very efficient way to live to escape rent and bills. Smart guy. He’s living in security knowing he has money in the bank to spare for any situation. He only has to worry about gas and oil and fixing the car from time to time. Wish I lived like that to save money. Great job man.
Me too. Exactly!
Chicken parm tip - make the tomato sauce in the crockpot. When you simmer the sauce on low all day it makes the sauce richer and more tasty. Stay warm up there! 💜
Not even two minutes in and I am laughing. Thank you! I need it, I’m going through a crisis with my 91-year-old mother and I need a distraction. You just got a new subscriber!
Better than most television, I freakin love these videos. Foresty Forest is the man.
All the work you put into making your videos is much appreciated, from a city viewer who would never, who could never live that life. Thanks again, stay safe.
Great humour, attitude and risk appetite travelling in that thing. Superb! You got the life.
Things added to the FF lore just this past week:
- Encounter with the cartel
- The whiskey train is dangerous but manageable
- 4 days between our birthdays
Sending you all the love ❤.
I like how he makes the title living in his van which is dope but then homie goes and climbs a mountain casually 🤣🤣
The yelling coming out of the van was hilarious. Sounded so authentic lmaoo
Foresty was putting his back into it.
This is such a great view i couldnt imagin living in a van here in canada during the winter would be so so cold
I love how your channel has a lot of cooking in it specially when you said at the beginning that you doubt you’ll cook much in the van....btw I subbed because of the cooking.
Damn! The guy can cook. Stay warm and happy and don't answer the door...
Sure I’ve seen that thumbnail before. Feels like watching the first video again, can’t believe how far you’ve come. Keep it up FF
when you were on top of the mountain and mentioned that you could almost see calgary, i was mind blown because i live only an hour and a half south of there. fabulous video man i hope you’re still pushin through these cold time!
Hi, I know you had your reasons for getting a full sized van, but...I miss this smaller minivan for you. Anyways, safe travels!
Hilarious moment there! 🤣 beautiful mountains, cool van builds and delicious food! What more could you want in one video let alone the RUclips channel that is FORESTY FOREST! Awesome! 👏 thank you sir!
LOL!! You’re quite the chef! Kudos for van living in that cold environs. I full time travel in a van but snowbird myself to AZ and Baja to escape the winter cold and rain. I feel so spoiled. You’ve got a good setup and attitude Foresty Forest, right-on!
Baja!!! What a dream!
Oh yes, forgetting the mask in the car, we've all done it at least once lol. I love the shots you got of the snow covered trees, black and white practically, so beautiful.
Those drone shots are incredible
I haven’t watched you before but from the outside of the van I didn’t expect the inside too look like that amazing
What BEAUTIFUL scenery all around as you took your hike! And the shots that you got were amazing!
Bravo! That's a better meal than many people can cook using a big kitchen in a house.
First, the music stole my heart, then the pounding stole my soul
Damn...I'm a veteran of the middle east but you are something else...BADASS doesn't even cover it!!!
We live very similarly! Hiking and living mobile. A friend of mine told me I should check out your channel. Some of your subtle humor is my favorite! 😂 Very well done...your videos are fun to watch!
:25 I love this statement and the way you delivered it, speaking volumes here. I feel this way returning to my quirky little island town after a leave, the familiarity feels great. Home is contextual for everyone, even if it is on a rolling chassis, you may have more roots than you imagine. "Even if it is the walmart bathroom", you're at least on your own terms and I remember your statement why you left and started this way back in the first place. There's difference between a house and a home. I often wonder how great it must feel to return to your van after climbing a mountain all day. Not sure if you are thinking about sprucing the place up with some home reno's, or "moving", the world is yours and people here are watching. Another Foresty masterpiece.... wait... baby wipes, are you for real?
Very well said 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA OST IS BACK YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Love that EPIC VIDEO GAME ZELDA🙌🏽
Was feeling a little sad tonight and your video made me feel better 😊 Beautiful Canada and your funnies... wish I was your parking lot neighbor 🤣
Dude, just love your videos and especially how you keep your cooking fresh and interesting. Stay safe and healthy.
Good for him he's got a place to sleep, food, and a great sense of humor I hope you have the best luck thank you for sharing 😀❤️
The way you prepared your chicken was mega funny, mate! I'm still chuckling now, several years later, in 2024!!!
A class comedy and all done with a straight face, makes it even funnier. Hilarious.
I'm very impressed with your camera work on this one! It's always a delight to see what you're up to. Keep life simple. - "The other side"
Hey Forest! Love the content, always have!
I think It’s a great idea to put the van upgrade and maintenance stuff at the end with the patreon names! I personally love that stuff and glad it’s still included in your videos, but putting it at the end makes it an option for people who don’t and I think that will make your content more appealing to a wider audience! Keep doing you man! Stay safe!
I cannot believe how good drone footage has gotten. The shots you're able to get out there all by your lonesome are incredible. Props.
Exactly!
I have an older Yuneec Breeze 4K. Great drone for the money, with all the bells and whistles. Just the bells and whistles don't always kick in. The follow me mode seems to be following something else. The new drones today are amazing
His videography is beyond excellence . I can't believe how much effort he makes ( keeping in mind that he alone recors the video)
I was just gonna say he sets up his camera to get footage of him walking and then has to walk back to get the camera set it up again to get more footage, that's a lot of work!
A la Les Stroud... good stuff for sure
I know, I personally record video and edit it all myself, and sometimes it is seriously not quite as easy as some think at times.
Just like Chad in his VW van, active tracking in his drone, awesome!
You don't realize all the different angles until you really stop and think about it! Thanks for pointing it out!
I really enjoy your videos..You're so humble yet entertaining..Thank you for the adventures 🌱🌾🌵🍀🐢🐸🦆🦋🐛
Crazy to think that around a year ago, you only had like 40k subscribers. Amazing to see this channel grow and I hope it keeps growing!
Love the drone footage. It was beautiful.
You're so adorable. The snow was so beautiful and I really enjoyed watching.
I almost puked when he said use the baby wipe to clean off the meat.
I know...but only a slightly backwards person would do something like that..l guess we have to be thankful it wasn’t a used one.
I would buy pre cooked meat, but prefer cleaner no meat, beans, tofu grains etc.
Yeah, not sure about a scented baby wipe to clean the chicken. What kind of chemicals are you transferring to the meat?
double entendre...I’m almost certain
Yea thats fkd up lmfao
Your original " Living in a van in winter" was the video that got me hooked on your channel !!!!!
Man, pack of wolves are no joke. When they are hungry, they’ll attack whether you’re a moose or human. They just see survival, be careful out there...
BS. Wolves don't eat people.
@The Bushwacker One might blow your house down though if annoyed.
@@bill71053 Tell that to people who have been attacked in snowy woods by wolves. The wolves didn't get the message that they don't eat people. LOL. There was just a story like that on a show called "I Shouldn't Be Alive". It was in the winter in the mountains just like this guy.
@@bill71053 You are incorrect.
@@bill71053 just because they won’t eat people doesn’t mean they won’t attack people... duh
So the cost of living is so high in Canada that this is a better way to go. I think it’s kick ass. Love your rig!! Keep warm.
Omg the meat segment! You have out done Doug and Bob McKenzie! Lmao....Hail to our new Canadian star! 😊❤️🇨🇦
No one else in the world, except USA and (parts of) Canada feels the need to clean chicken before cooking it.
Winter videos again, woohoo! I can’t get enough of this content, absolutely love it. Keep up the good work and stay safe!
There's so much beauty in every season and you capture it so well. Every video of yours is a treat!
Clearly you've been living alone too long if you make all that noise beating your meat in a Walmart parking lot!! Now I'll be looking at every vehicle in the parking lot side ways from now on. lol - a Walmart Assistant Manager

Front end team lead 😂😂😂
I can't believe you made such a beautiful meal in that little space! Brava!
Walking on a treadmill in the safety of my local gym, when Mr. Forest clicked that cairn with his ice axe and climbed on top of it, I involuntarily raised my arms and yelled “YEAHHHH!!” Ha!
Thanks for taking me places I’ll never personally experience in my lifetime.
I can still taste the 40 Creek from way over here. Enjoying your vids fromm Malta 🇲🇹
Thought I was the only one who liked that booze.
Malta stand up!
ahhh...you’re bringing back memories...Valetta , Gozo and the whole islands .it has been years since then ..paċi ħabib tiegħi
Those drone shots are AMAZING!
Wow! You've come quite a long way since I last saw a video from you two years ago... It's great to see so many people have joined you on your stealth camper adventures. You're cinematography and story telling has leveled up so much since then and I love that you show your gratitude for your Patreon supporters.
That mountain view was stunning. You are stunning in all your Forresty Forest-ism
I can see why you have many a happy patron supporter.
Cheers and be safe. 💘💛🖤🤍💙
I have totally admiration for the way you live. What freedom you have and I love your videography too. You have a new sub!
New Country song. “Whiskey, Chicken and a Broken Fork”
Winner!
then climb the mountain where wolfs do bark
Forestry Forest and Camping with Steve are my 2 favourite channels :)
I wasn’t expecting Donkey Kong Country music. Nice!
Build up a good coal bed to cook over, not flames. Best of luck young man. You have a good attitude and way about you.
You are great and I do love to watch your video. I sure enjoy you sature, cooking, and this is the greatest live I see for you. I am 67 yrs young and I do not think I would do this winter for next year. I will be moving in Windsor and the snow will be there after I was 44 yrs in Vancouver. Quebec, Gaspe was were I was born, and now I do want to enjoy the snow..........many thanks to U my Canadian video man.......
#67 summit and 200K subscribers, doing awesome for yourself Forest!
Vinny says you leave your rig 15 miles behind and then you climb a freaking mountain ? What do you do , drink Red Bull by the gallon ? HOLY SHIT ! ! !
It's still beyond me how this thing looks so spacious inside. 😅

Because people are gullible & will believe anything on social media, that's why he's getting a paycheck every month for us watching this
@Becca Boo He had a video talking about it. Rent was too high and he was living with 2 dogs (2 legs dogs) in a basement. Foresty Forest is killing it on RUclips now👑👑👑

It's a TARDIS. The Dr. Is looking for his ship. 😂
Been living in my SUV on the down low for about 4 months. The end of Summer, Fall, Winter. That van looks luxurious.
What I've learned that I haven't learned from everyone's channels is the details. Like what to do about muddy shoes. Or finding a good spot.
How to poop. 😅
Looks like you're happy and really enjoying your life.
In Corpus Christi, Texas it will be near 90 degrees Fahrenheit today. Down here you would be trying to figure out how to stay cool!
I am in San Antonio. It drops to 45F this evening and I welcome this cool weather in Texas. : )
It’s 25 in my area of Texas today☺️
Just under 40 in DFW today and I'm low-key jealous of you lol...

@@tallll70 haha not jealous of you at all... Not even Halloween and you guys are getting crazy snow.
The minor bloopers (ie: noodles flying out of pot when stirring) is a nice touch to your videos.
Hear your accent and said Canadian. Then I heard kilometers. Yup! lol half the video is dude cooking in a van. Love y’all accent, wonderful video.
We dont have accents
I watched u last year in USA and today I come across your channel again while IM in Pakistan and I have to say u amaze me at how u have made that van livable.I don't know how u drive in that much snow.lol
Oh man, a year ago to the day. What a journey it's been!
