You absolutely inspire me to want to try to be a coach driver. My first love is racing sailboats and teaching sailing. Hey that guy on the billboard in Branson I have known since he was a little boy Dean Z! We are in the same Elvis Presley fan club called The Jailhouse Rockers of CA! He used to live in CA. Nice to see him on the board.
Great Video, top notch driver. My father's been driving school bus for 53 years and I've gone on many overnighter's with him as a kid. It always made me feel like a celebrity when we'd pull up to the hotel in the bus (kids perspective I guess). He still drives and I still go every so often to help him out now that he's getting up there in years.
Just got here from your other RUclips channel. I love all your fixed camera distance shots of the bus arriving and departing as well as you entering and exiting the bus. That must add a lot of time to your planning and setup for the video. Enjoying the Branson series.
I’m a lifetime Branson local, work full time at one of the theaters in town. I know the tour groups work hard but no idea the day to day a driver had. Mad respect sir. Thanks for showing our little city in a really positive light!
Hi Joseph. Thanks for your comment. That's awesome that you live there and work. I wondered to myself what it would be like to live there. It seems like it would be fun to live there. Everyone I met was so nice. What theater do you work in?
Most, not all of our locals are incredibly kind and friendly. There’s always a few that can be onry! But for the most part, everyone that lives here are very kind and hospitable. For me, I go to work, church and home and run errands just like everyone else. It is really nice when we have the time and know when to go, to go to the various attractions we have in town. My work has reciprocal agreements with several places so we’re able to go for free, or at a discounted rate. Which is really nice. I work at Sight & Sound Theaters on the security team as an armed officer. Very fun and fulfilling job. Everyone that works there is like an extension of my family. Hope you enjoyed your time in Branson, look forward to seeing you back again!
Great video James! Branson was always my favorite destination. Hope they told you about the driver's gift certificate at Russell Stovers! I've still got all my notes if you need some insights when you go back.
This brought back my memories on an older motor coach going to Winnipeg, I didn’t stay for 4 days, just 2 days. We came home around midnight as we departed Winnipeg at 7:00PM, the bus was used to be Grey Goose (MOM’s Way)

Matter of fact, my wife’s running partner owns the hotel you stayed at, and my best buddy is drummer at clay Cooper., I play for the Dutton’s (now at yakov theater post-fire. And I tour with Johnny Lee and Urban Cowboy Band. I got on here looking for HVAC fixes for Johnnys H3-45 vip. But this was much more entertaining. Thanks for posting.

I'm new to the Motorcoach World and enjoying your channel. Enjoyed your trip and the passengers were awesome! I also drive the Prevost H series. I was wondering why you were using your phone instead of a dedicated OTR gps? In all the videos I watched the guys have been saying the truck apps for phones are not that dependable and a OTR gps is the only way. Your thoughts? Thanks for the good info on your channel, I know its a lot of extra work.
I kind of cringed when I heard you had the owners onboard, not sure what I'd think of that. That they put you up in their house is new, I can honestly say I've never had that happen. I guess your company owners really like you! Mine like me, but never have me stay at the their house! The H3-45 is a nice coach, but they suck in crosswinds. We just bought 4 of them. A note for the future, the tag lift is handy in tight turns. I'm sure the owner told you, but I figured I'd point it out. FYI on the front drivers side passenger seat table is a jack to plug in a HDMI video source, I've used it to play movies from a laptop or a custom streaming box. Much handier to play off a solid state source rather then a DVD. I've also connected a Atari flashback so I can get in some missle command in those long parking lot visits......

That’s one of the reasons I’m looking at getting into driving coaches and get away from driving tractor trailers. Thank you for your vlogs on both channels. They are helpful in seeing what a coach driver goes through from day to day.
Sounds like your boss and his wife are nice people. Liking your vids, living in Uk coaches have less distance to go. How does your driving limitations (taco) differ to over here
Hey John. Thanks for your comments. I have actually made videos explaining our drive times as well as ore trip requirements on my other RUclips channel. RUclips.com/motorcoachworld
I'm a Prevost driver. I had some co-workers that prefer the MCI because they said the J4500's are stable and the H3-45's tend to drive a bit like a boat: they sway and roll and bob and rock. Not all of the H3-45's ride like this, especially if there's small adjustments to the suspension: air bags, shocks and tires. That being said, driving the H3-45 doesn't leave you tired, it swallows bumps, it still grips and holds the road, especially in winter, and they can last forever (we had a 1997 H3-45 that had an 11.1L Detroit engine, 2.5 million miles).
Hey Patrick. Yes I have. Way back in the day. I enjoyed it but they were definitely not friendly toward bus drivers. The parking enforcement and other city officers that is.
You are right. Drivers don't have a lot of privacy. Masks are required for drivers only if the customers request it. Other wise we leave it up to the customers and drivers.

Thanks David P. Appreciate it!
This city reminds me a lot of Wisconsin Dells. Ever taken a trip there?
BTW Great content! Been binging all your videos the past few days.
Hey John. Thank you for your kind words. Yes I have been to the Dells and j know what you mean.
If you get a chance I have another channel called motorcoachworld. Not sure if you are aware of it. Check it out as well.
@@JWangvlogs That channel is actually how I found this one. Great content over there also! Definitely adding Jim’s Original to my list next time I’m in Chicago. Always looking for new places to eat there.
Great Video!😁
What GPS app you use when traveling places on the bus
I actually use google maps on my phone. I used the bus wifi to provide data otherwise it would drain my data on a trip like this.
Hi Buddy James Wang how are you doing Happy Friday I love all your videos James Wang you are the best on RUclips I am going to the Buffalo Bills football game this week a group call Tulip Travel is taking a group to the Football game this week I am saying 2 nights in a nice hotel not far away from the Buffalo Bills Football Stadium more videos coming soon buddy James Wang
Branson is just like Pigeon Forge here in Tennessee.
It absolutely is. I thought the same thing when I went to pigeon forge for a family vacation
@@JWangvlogs I hope you and your family had a great time when you all vacationed in Pigeon Forge. I only live about 45 minutes from there, and we go there several times a year. That’s one of the reasons I’m looking at getting into driving coaches and get away from driving tractor trailers. Thank you for your vlogs on both channels. They are helpful in seeing what a coach driver goes through from day to day.
As an old retired truck driver how do you handle your log book? Is the time you spend at the shows “on duty not driving”
Hi Jim. I usually go off duty if I don't have to tend to my passengers. That saves time in my log.
@@JWangvlogs thanks for your answer
Question: When you have longer trips with motel stays, does the company pay for your motel, or does that come out of the driver’s pocket?
The company covers all of that. Great question thank you
65 degrees.....perfect choice!
Great minds think alike! =)
Your awesome
Sounds like your boss and his wife are nice people. Liking your vids, living in Uk coaches have less distance to go. How does your driving limitations (taco) differ to over here
Hey John. Thanks for your comments. I have actually made videos explaining our drive times as well as ore trip requirements on my other RUclips channel.

@@JWangvlogs could you provide a link to the video pls

Once you've driven an H3-45, you won't want to drive an MCI ever again!
Wish you could drive me around
You started at 4:30 and didn't get done at the hotel until 10:00 pm? That's a little over hours isn't it?
No I had a few hours of off duty time during the day. Total was about 14 hours on duty and 9 and a half hours of drive time.
I remember Branson before it was this
I would love to hear all about what Branson used to be!
Paradise. WHAT 🙆
You did fix the clock on the coach right?
It’s not broken, just had the wrong time set.
@@trailerparksupervisor7046 Same as broken in my book (yes I would bug poor Jim until was either correct or turned off)
Hey Bad Byte. I couldn't figure out how and I totally forgot about it. So unfortunately that clock remained an hour fast for my entire trip.
@@BadByte haha i complete get it.
@@JWangvlogs not a good look while the boss is on board
Have you been to NYC metro area?
Hey Patrick. Yes I have. Way back in the day. I enjoyed it but they were definitely not friendly toward bus drivers. The parking enforcement and other city officers that is.
Not a lot of privacy in the drivers quarters of the bus. I think there should be plexiglass divider. And are masks required on the bus?
You are right. Drivers don't have a lot of privacy. Masks are required for drivers only if the customers request it. Other wise we leave it up to the customers and drivers.
Stop in St Charles and pick me up next time!
Haha I definitely will! If you are ever in the Urbana IL area let me know. We can go grab a bite to eat.
@@JWangvlogs I might just take you up on that! 😃
What travel agent i can call about this trip.. Thank you

Who is Cindy
She is the wife of Bill, the president of Peoria Charter.
You have much too much LOUD music in your videos.
yes, Im very proud of it. Most of my viewers leave me comments regarding how much they love the music. Im sorry that you find it loud.
