can't wait to try out that little technique where you leave a bit of the leadwire out and then tie in over it. I've been having trouble keeping that lead secure on some ties. thanks

The soft hackle feather you used was gorgeous. I dont know that I've ran into anything marked so nicely.

looks like a brown-dyed Hungarian Partridge feather. If you tie a lot of soft-hackle flies, buy a skin and you'll always have the correct size and variegation.

Like to fish this fly, but hate tying them because I can't get the wing to look right. I like this method of tying them in, thanks for sharing.

I cut wire with a fingernail clipper; it saves wear and tear on scissors.

When nothing is working, (and for me that's often 😂), I hang a prince off an elk hair caddis and in amazed at how often that prince does the trick

Have you had any luck at all using it as a streamer?

I have had several large bluegill smack a prince nymphs while I was using it as a streamer.

You really should be filming it from your point of view instead of from the opposite side of the fly, especially since you are positioning your tied in materials on the side facing you.

Great pattern like how you stick to the original pattern I hate when people dub the head
