    Thank you so much, I tied these a long time ago, before I got sent to Baghdad for my 3rd tour as a convoy gunner. I got back home eventually and totally forgot how to tie it, so this video was so helpful, thank you,

    Great video I come back to reference this sometimes. Love this fly. I tie it with different bead sizes and a beadless emerger version. The bubble makes trout go crazy 😝

    I love this pattern but I’ve never seen the deer hair version with a bead. What’s the purpose of that if it’s a lead/semi dry fly?

      Looks like the emergent pupa version not the deep sparkle pupa, at least based on la Fontaine’s book than I double checked against. I’m sure it works though

      Certain egg laying adults of the diving variety swim to the bottom to deposit eggs. Basically its an adult with bubbles
