We're diving right into day 1 of preparing the foundation for the shed delivery in less than 72 hours. I’m super anxious as we work against the clock (and weather) to dig trenches, lay both water and electrical lines, and pour the concrete slab to ensure the tiny home has a strong foundation. I also run down the details of the initial project scope, timeline, and cost-which you honestly won’t believe!

The GOING TINY docuseries follows 25-year-old entrepreneur, Precious Price, over the course of 5 months as she works to place a 12' x 24' shed into the backyard of her South Atlanta home and converts it to a liveable, tiny house. After a few delays due to COVID, firing two sets of contractors, and completely having to demolish and re-complete finished work, she quickly realizes just how large of a feat this is.
Packed into 3 episodes, Precious takes viewers through the complete process of designing and building the tiny house. She shares total costs pertaining to materials and labor, and even gives insight into how much income the tiny house has generated thus far.

Precious Price is a Speaker, Entrepreneur, and Digital Marketing Consultant. Ur amazing. I wish I had thought of this at 25 but I don’t believe they were building portable buildings like this when I was 25.
I recently purchased two buildings 12x40 and 12x32 and placed them on my property in Alabama. I’m living in one and the other one I am using for my business.
My plan is to purchase about 5 or 6 to start and make into air BNB’s as well. It’s hard to find people who wants to work . U would think it was a 3000 sq foot home.
I did find a company out of Missouri who will build them all the way for u . They game me an estimated cost for a 16x32 fully packaged with air and heat mini split, plumbing done and electrical, 36,000$.

Congratulations on making a decision to get into real estate! Please advise if rebar wire was placed in the concrete to maintain the integrity of the foundation.
As a construction worker I didnt see rebar put in the foundation of your concrete and you need that or you concrete will crack over time. I might of missed that part but I didnt see any.

How difficult or easy was it to go through the 811 digging and locating processes and permits considering this was the city of Arlanta?
Not at all easy! It took months, literally. And since it was the middle of the pandemic and most workers were based at home, extremely stressful.
