I really enjoyed watching this story. My heart felt so happy when the seargant was late and you didn't get booked into jail. I call that divine intervention. I really do feel for you and have a lot of sympathy for what you were put through. Evil people are more and more abundant these days. However, as much as you were in the right, the law is the law and the agreements with the platform are what they are and that's where they're going to stay unless it's changed somehow. While i totally understand your frustration and the desire for justice, being an entrepreneur is all about risk. You have to get to the point where you assess whether or not that risk is worth it, taking into consideration where the laws stand currently and maybe look into getting into something with fewer risks to your safety, finances, and peace of mind! You seem objective, poised and emotionally stable. Call me crazy, but i think God might have other plans for you other than real estate endeavors. God bless you, child, wherever He leads you.

You probably told him how much money you were making. I have been a host for 7 years and never would i get that comfortable with a guest. Its unfortunate what happened to you but it could have been avoided by knowing theres no such thing as friends in business. To everybody watching in 2024 after OJ passed away. The federal court immediately after the OJ trial completely BANNED race or racism from being a factor in any case. The offender has to on camera say, “i h@te you and i want to harm you because you are black” in order for them to even consider race as a factor. If you cant prove EXPLICITLY that a person did you wrong because of your race then your case will be dismissed. Remember in the OJ trail, the lead detective was a neo nazi and openly admitted to framing black people. But he never said they set OJ up out loud, he plead the 5th. The white court system went back and tightened up their game when it comes to race. Smh

Omg- I am so sorry!! I had a situation in VT- I owned a single family property (with a mortgage). I became disabled/unable to work. I thought at that time I could get medical treatment and would be able to return to work at some point. A friend made me an offer to move in with him so I could rent “my home” -so I could pay the mortgage and be able to keep the property. So I rented to a family that my son knew & vouched for. They paid timely for almost a year- then stopped. Keep in mind I had ZERO income at this point. When I tried to evict them for non-payment (using forms online)- these “tenants” got a legal-aid lawyer at no cost to them. When I contacted legal aid, I was told that despite having no income, because I was the “homeowner” (I guess that implies I have buckets of $$ just sitting around), I was not eligible for assistance. Their free lawyer informed me I had not used the right forms-or served them appropriately-by then they had chained off the driveway and let their pit bulls (sorry, I realize this breed can be awesome-but not these particular dogs) attack anyone that came near. So the people who serve legal documents could not get on to the property. When I asked a friend (former police chief) to serve them, he unhooked the chain & drove onto the property to serve. Later that day, a VT state trooper came to his home and served him for trespassing-on MY property that I had given him permission to be. To add insult to injury, my friend was told he “should have known better” and as former law enforcement, is “held to a higher standard”. Meanwhile, the mortgage was ticking away, ruining my former stellar credit. So I tried to sell it- guess what- the pit bulls wouldn’t let prospective buyers on the property. Police? Nope. It’s a “civil matter”. One buyer offered to buy it sight unseen (we had no clue what these tenants had done to the inside) at 20% of the appraisal- and he would take the tenants to court on my behalf to get them removed (as I had no cash/credit to do this). In court I was accused of: having an affair with the buyer (no!) and throwing these good people out of “their home”. Yes MY HOME that they had not paid a cent to be in for over a year (I had to cash in all my retirement, life insurance, etc. so it didn’t get foreclosed on-stupid me, I actually thought justice was fair….) The legal aid lawyer repeatedly referred to as “THEIR HOME”. Anyway… the court gave them another FREE SIX MONTHS, the bank accepted a short sale- that stayed on my credit almost as long as the bankruptcy I was forced into after all this- and the buyer walked away happy. Also- somewhere in these happenings, the male tenant had moved a camper on to the property, ran an illegal large power cable to it, covered the windows with black garbage bags-and people in the neighborhood told me he was cooking meth. The same VT troopers -all up in arms to protect chaining off property that didn’t belong to these ‘tenants’-when informed, I was told there was “nothing they could do”. In a very quaint small town, in Vermont. So, if you own property in Vermont and don’t have deep pockets or a lawyer/cops on retainer-be VERY CAREFUL about renting. Final note: the male tenant died about a year later- from a drug overdose…
