My previously released e-book is still available that walks through getting started. And I’m also always down to hop on a quick call for questions. My official training curriculum videos are featured as a playlist on my channel now.
Landlording is landlording. Rent it out for a night, a week, a year, you're still landlording. I've been a landlord for 4 years now and I'll always admit: it's unethical. We hoard a scarce resource with a rigid demand curve and then we rent it back out for as much as we can. There's no "ethical" way to do it. Accept it.
its not unethical, especially when providing someone an "affordable place" to lay there head. Nothing is ubiquitous so while there are times it can be unethical, to say its 100% always unethical is false in my opinion. Respectfully of course.
Unless you rent an extra room in your house. But I had the uncomfortable experience of hosting a guest for a week who was similar to the people who don’t bathe, walk around city downtowns talking to themselves, and are barely coherent. When I reached out to Airbnb as a super host with a 10 year record, I got zero support other than calling 911. So I had a guest who didn’t bathe and stunk, who didn’t go anywhere or do anything with anyone, and imo was delusional. This person was able to stay until they broke a house rule, and informed me, so I was stuck until they did. When I tried to report this person who was unsafe and a liability because the neighbors complained they were doing things like trying to hump the moon, I was suspended and basically threatened to be deplatformed. My review was removed, and this person will go to another host, who is “protected” from discrimination for their disability. I’m only accepting 5 star guests from now on, and will move to long term renting in the fall, and selling my stock in airbnb.
Precious it sounds like you found your ministry. This is awesome 💯
I love this! I am so inspired and hope to do this one day!
Good for you. It pays to be an owner to be able to make these types of decisions vs 100% at the mercy of an employer and to write your own story.
I think AirBnB is great,I prefer it than being in a hotel
So, do you still provide training for AirBnB, although you have moved on to do something else?
