Hey do you have any tips on how to do a two point turn I am having trouble with that. I would love to pass like this will be my sixth time going and I feel horrible
On the course, the parking spot is surrounded by a curb. The curb extends pass the parking lines on each side. You should try to line your rear wheel with the curb further down the road. It might be hard to see if you're actually lined up. A trick is to stop when the first flag from the second parking line is lined up inside the little window (called the quarter glass) on your rear passenger side. Once you're lined up, turn your wheels all the way to the right first and then start backing in. Use your side mirrors to check if you might hit a cone and adjust slightly while backing in until you straighten up. It's best to practice in a parking lot. Put some boxes to act as cones and try to fit in there. In the parking lot, the lines for the parking spot next to the one you're using are about the same distance away as the curb on the course. Since the curb is extended on the course, simulate this by putting something down as a marker on the road 9 footsteps away from the end of the parking line that is acting as the curb. Try to line your rear wheel up with that line and try to park. Keep practicing until you get comfortable and try to do it without having to move forward when backing in.

@@heckhuon i thought you have to do 3 point turn not 2 point?
@@zainabsiddiqui6154 no 3 point turn and parallel parking were taken out
@@zainabsiddiqui6154 For a while the mva driving test consisted of forward parking, reverse parking, and the 3 point turn due to covid.
But now I think the road portion of the test opened up this month.
I want to thank you 😊. This video helped me a lot. I watched your video every day until my test. I did very well on the test and passed on my first try. They took me to the exact same route in the video. Before the test begins, the instructor will ask you to turn on your hazard lights, turn on your right and left turn signals, and honk your horn. The closed course part was a slight difference when I did my test, the instructor was not inside the car with me. she was outside the car giving me instructions on what to do. When I was on the public road, she asked me to change lanes. She also asked me what the speed limit was on the road I was driving on. Be sure to listen, pay attention to your surroundings, and follow directions and you will do well on the test.
Did she ask you to park in the front bay also , or only in reverse?
I just want to say thank you so much I watched your video everyday until my test. I passed on the first try thanks to your vid
That's awesome to hear! Congrats.
I passed my exam today and succeeded in the first time , thanks to God. It was easy, just like this video, although I was nervous, but there is no need to be afraid. Pay attention to the stop sign in the door when leaving the test area . Good luck to everyone 🤍

@@nellythequeen4374 for me I did just the reverse parking a month ago

@@korionnaskinner489sorry I’m two months late but it was easy just get the two point reverse turn down and after that drive smooth on the road portion sorry for answering so late
I passed my test today
How do I know what speed to go if it doesn't show the speed limit on a sign? Because in this video it doesn't always show it but the limit in the caption changes. and like I'm not going to be able to memorize all of these.
Can you park using the 45 degree angle (turning in a slant and then backing in) or do you have to park at a 90 degree the way you did?
You have to stay perpendicular and drive past the parking spot, then back in. You will lose points and fail if you move forward too many times while backing in.
I have a question and someone please answer me. How do you know when to drive forward and stop for the car to reverse park in a specific parking space just like the one in the video? Do you stop driving forward when you can see the pole in the middle of the right passenger window in the back?? I think that’s what my instructor told me.
It’s up to the test proctor. If they don’t tell you when to stop, you can stop at the point that makes it easier for you to park.
I'm taking my test this week and I'm super overwhelm and nervous and I was wondering were you allowed to use your back camera during your test when reversing or how did you pinpoint how to reverse cuz that's the only thing that I'm mostly nervous 😥.
Practice using only your mirrors in a parking lot. Put some boxes or objects to park in between.
This shit was a breeze once i got off course the i had thIs one lady who could of failed me i cried but but she passed me....i got my official's
Same this lady was telling me what I did that was wrong and stuff all the time and I thought I failed but she passed me 😭
When backing up would you pass if even if you don’t turn your head over or should I turn over before start moving then just mirrors??
Please respond I have my test this Thursday.
You should always be turning your head and checking mirrors. You could lose points if you don’t.
Thank you!
Mine is tomorrow! So nervous. But she did really good in this video
Is the test the same in this video ?
My driving test is on aug 5....wish me all the luck
Good luck!

Mine is the following day lol
Amigo buenas tardes , Como te fué en el examen ??

Hey is it possible to have changing lanes in your test?
Thanks
Yes, depending on traffic, the test instructor may ask you to switch to another lane and the switch back to your original lane. This would have happened on Eastern Blvd at 7:25. However, they didn’t ask in this video.
I'd like to give an update.
I went to make this tesf today in Essex and there is no more public road practice.
They do not take you to the road anymore for testing you.
Otherwise everything is the same. Thank you for this video.
Do they make u do the 3point turn
@@rashadcolyns3948 I'm sorry didn't see this before, yes they still do.

Since the public road part of the test has opened back up at the MVA in Essex, MD, is it the same as the RUclips video from 2019 b4 it closed the road portion?? Just need to practice b4 i take it next week. Thanks!
I’m wondering the same thing as im scheduled to take driving test tomorrow. I just saw somewhere that they now make you do the 3 point turn??? Also again are they going by this RUclips mva 2019 closed course and public road test?
IM WONDERING the same thing as im scheduled to take test tomorrow…. I just saw somewhere they make u do the 3 point turn ugh. DOES ANYONE KNOW?? THANKS

Question. I noticed at the traffic light you didn’t turn and there isn’t a “no turn on red” sign. Are we not allowed to turn even if there isn’t a sign indicating we can’t ?
I'm sure you're allowed. But for the test, it's always best to be cautious and only turn when its green or you feel safe to do so
You are allowed to turn on red after a full stop behind the line and if there is no sign prohibiting a turn on red. However, the safest bet is to wait for green on the test. You can't fail for being too safe.
Hello, good day, this day I passed my exam. so thanks for the video that's how it comes out. ;)

Was it the same exact closed course?
@@kaykay3388 yes 👍🏻
@Rich Natural hello no, only on the track I drove, I park in front, in reverse and the 3-point

Are you allowed to use a back up camera during the reverse two point turn?
You can but make sure the car doesn’t have sensors (unless you can turn it off)
I wish there was a video for Annapolis. I will be taking the MVA provision test there and I am super nervous.
How did it go?
pretty cure Forever pretty well. I did not do the street test because of the pandemic.
On the 2 point reverse parking…..my son backed up started to turn the wheel, saw he was getting close to the cone if he kept going, so stopped went back out to the right and went in reverse again and got his back end in and then went forward to straighten the vehicle and the instructor stopped him before he got to back in again and failed him. He said he changed gears to many times. Any suggestions?
You lose points every time you need to adjust. If you lose too many, you will automatically fail. Try to practice without needing to adjust as seen in the video.
Are you allowed you use your back up camera that’s in the vehicle or is it required to use mirrors instead
You are allowed to use a backup camera. However, you are still required to use the mirrors as well.
hkl100 okay thank you. I just wanted to make sure.
So it’s just 2 point turn about and stop signs in the close course
do you go on the public road or is it closed course
Which area is that in this video. Silver Spring or Beltsville, Maryland..
It was taken at the MVA location in Essex, MD.
for the backing in parking are you allowed to go in drive in pull forward a bit when backing in
Yes, you can. You will lose some points though.
Hi , I want to know whether you had aligned front left cone or right cone to rear side passenger little window ?
Align the front left cone. So, the not from the first set of cones, but the second set further down the road.
So for the parking portion do I a-line the white pole to the middle of my second window on the passengers side? HELP!!!
You align the first flag from the second set of cones in the little window (called the quarter glass) on your rear passenger side.
hkl100 so you don’t align with the first cone on your right?
Thanks video helped with backing up and I passed. I was nervous the whole time so I had him repeat everything.

was the closed part the same as this video because of covid? did you have to do the three-point turn?
@@zainabsiddiqui6154 yes I had to do three point turn but no public driving on the street. Only the beginning of this video is accurate but this video was missing the 3 point turn.
I took 15 mins to complete the test. I waited longer for it to be my turn to take the test.
No 3-point turn?
Do you know if when we start do we move the handbrake first or the gear in drive or parking first????
Either way should be fine in modern cars. Just make sure the car is completely stopped and your foot is firmly pressed on the brake pedal when shifting and removing or applying the handbrake.
05/28/2024 - I did my test yesterday! It’s the same ! I had to go a different way in the very beginning bc a truck was in the way but I ended up on the same route. My instructor was very nice her name is Nekia! And my test seemed pretty short tbh lol thank you for this video !
Thanks for the update. Great job!
As of 09/23/22 this is the same instructions I took you just park a little closer by the course not in the parking lot
Did you stop behind that first yellow line
I passed my test today!!
Awesome!
Thumbs up for this video but I don't think it is wise to stop two times at stop sign( behind the stop line and at stop sign). It can confuse the driver behind. Stop once and take a wide view. Waiting at stop sign should be at least 3seconds if all things been equal. Once more I say thank you for this wonderful video. Please note; you might really need to apply extreme caution when approaching the first public traffic light because it's so fast in changing from green to yellow.
Yes, I agree. That is the case for real world driving. However, for the purposes of this test, it is wiser to use more caution than usual because a mistake at a stop sign is an instant fail. Some instructors at this location failed multiple people for proceeding without caution after a stop behind the line. It is better to be safe. You can't fail for being too cautious on the test, although it is excessive.
It is a staggered stop. Sometimes you have to do this so you can see around signs, bushes and trees.
Was it hard to do the reverse parking also how long did it take till you left Mva after passing
It is difficult if you don't practice beforehand. With practice, you can get a good feel for it. You have to able to do it without moving forward when you start backing in or you will lose points and potentially fail. After passing, it could take about 45 minutes or longer depending on how busy it is to have your number called.
hkl100 so can’t move forward at all when backing in even if you may hit a cone?
You can, but you will lose points. If you move forward 3 or more times (depends on the discretion of the instructor), they will stop the test and fail you.
When your turning right at the stop light can you turn right on red?
Yes, but you have to make a complete stop behind the line before turning.
In the beginning the lines are coated in water and you can't see them yet I failed once, how can I see them
Which lines are you referring to?
I see you drove a RAV4, how was the car? And nice you passed!
Thanks! It's fine, as long as you practice.
did they throw random questions while being on the road? like what does sign mean or something?
No, but the proctor may ask you what the speed limit is.
This lady was so mean to me and failed me. This was the Mva opened up again in June 2020. I guess she didn’t want to work 😒🙄
Is the exact same route now? Or has it changed?
Not sure, but this was taken on March 2019. You can go to the MVA and see if drivers follow the same route.
Hey,I’m gonna have my road test next week.is it still the same as this video?am I allowed to do adjustments in the reverse parking if I need to ?
I took my test last Friday and passed. It’s exactly the same. Just stay calm and ask questions if needed. Yes, you can make adjustments in the reverse parking just make sure to get it under 3 mins. Good luck!
@@ShaniAmos-ht1lv ok thank you
did you line the car up to the curb things or the cones?
You try to line your rear wheels with the furthest curb down the road.
hkl100 thank you very much, do you have any visual aids? like did you turn your mirrors down?
Line up the first flag from the second parking line in the little window by your rear passenger side. You can point your mirrors down a little to make sure you don't cross the lines.

Do you know when we have to use our own vehicle if it’s allowed to be a truck or strictly a smaller car
You can use a truck, just make sure your view is not blocked by anything in the truck bed.
@@heckhuon ok thanks cuz I’m way more comfortable driving a truck than a car
Do they check your car before the test? Like ask you to turn on the blinkers, hazards and etc.. If so, which functions?
Yes, they will check your headlights, high beams, hazard lights, turn signal lights, and brake lights. They might also check your horn, windshield wipers, wiper fluids, working doors, and windows. Mirrors and windows should not have cracks larger than a quarter inch. Defrost heat should work in case the windshield and windows get foggy. Make sure you have at least a half a tank of gas and tires are properly inflated.
@@heckhuon Thank you so much! I also wanted to know if I need to yield and turn on my left blinker and then put my right blinker on when turning right into the enclosed course.
@@rinkagamine_8209 Yes, whenever merging or turning onto a different lane or road, parking, or leaving a parking spot, turn on your signal. Yield or stop for traffic if needed. Signals are used for safety and communication. When in doubt, always drive in the safest way possible. You don’t lose points for being extra careful. However, you can fail for not using signals, not yielding, or not stopping.
@@heckhuon Perfect! Thank you
What is the speed on Franklin Ave and behind the mall?
There are no posted speed limits on those roads, so it would be safe to stay under 15 mph.
My driver’s test tomorrow an I’m nervous any advise I could use it
Did you pass?
For the two point reverse turn , do you turn your wheel all the way to the right before actually reversing ? Or start reversing and then turning your wheel .. hope this isn’t confusing lol
It depends on where you stop. If you use the trick of positioning the first flag of the second parking line inside the little window (called the quarter glass) on your rear passenger side. You can turn your wheel all the way right before backing in. You may still need to make minor adjustments while you back in though.
Does anyone know how the driving course is now during covid? And it’s difficulty level?
I'm pretty sure it's just this they won't take us on the road just in this area
I went two days ago they had me do pull in . reverse 2 and the stop sign but I failed due to it raining to pass
Do you know why you have to stop twice for stop signs? It seems redundant.
It is mainly for test purposes because running a stop sign is an instant fail. Redundancy for the test will ensure you will pass. You can't fail for being extra cautious. Always stop behind the line or stop sign. If you do not have a clear view or are unsure if you made a proper stop, you can stop again. Many people fail because of improper stops.
at 7:08 why did u not go right on red was there a sign that said you couldnt?
better be safe than sorry
For the test, you can’t fail for being extra cautious. You could make a right after the stop, but it’s better to be safe for test purposes. Some instructors are very picky.
What kind of car did you use to take the test?
A 2017 Toyota RAV4 was used.
What are the questions that they ask you during the inspection?
They will inspect your turn signals, hazard lights, headlights, high beams, brake lights, horn, and opening and closing your door.
Thank you! Also do they ask you to point at anything in the car like the defroster, etc?
No, but if the the windows are foggy you are required to use the defroster.
