My dog Hero whining in the bathtub when he was a puppy. He is a rott/lab mix.
is it 100% necessary to stop twice for each stop sign?
Thank you for sharing this video. I passed it today.😊🎉 cheers
great sn
I have my test tomorrow 😊a lil nervous but I have confidence ima pass just from this video
Just took the test(January 2025) at the same MVA Essex and the route is still the same. I passed on my first try.
be cautious they sometimes change the part where you go in and where you park and it honestly through me off and made me fail because i was not expecting it still great video tho
Here is the route for you guys! maps.app.goo.gl/WwRZ5n5EUzMyy46DA
I did my test today (Dec-27-2024) honestly I thought I was gonna fail, because it took me like 4 movements to park on reverse, 😅 apparently you don't need to do it like in the video, I ask if I can move forward to rearrange the position of the car, and he was super chill about it, he said "yeah of course just don't hit the orange cones", I was like.. uff, haha he was an angel, the route was the exact same and by the end he said, Congratulations! I almost cried hahaha. Good luck to all! Thanks for the video.
Yayyy!!!! 😂 Congratulations!! Thanks for the update!
Cheers for the update
Did you have to turn on the parking brake after backing in? I’ve been told multiple things & idk if I’m actually supposed to do it.
@@capreshapitts6403 I didn't do that, but you can ask them if you need to do it before you do the maneuver. Just be very cautious about the signals left and right on the course, and before everything begins they will ask you a buch of questions about the car, like to show me where is this or that, turn on the signals left and right, things like that. Good luck.
@ thank you! I passed & I didn’t use the parking brake. Idk why those ppl told me I needed to do it, but I did just fine without it.
thanks bro just passed today on my first try once went over the speed limit but examiner was very chill only took 6-8 minutes
Wait so you gotta stop twice?
I passed on my first try after watching this video a few times. I had a really kind, cool instructor at the Essex MVA, and he gave me a pointer or two along the drive. The test is pretty much the same as in this video except my road route was only barely different. No other closed-course parking other than the two point reverse. Took me less than 10 minutes to finish the whole test. Also, since I know I can reverse into a spot without cones if I move forward just less than two full spaces ahead of the spot and turn my wheel all the way right, what helped me before taking the reverse parking on the test was to get two cones and go to an empty parking lot. I placed the cones at the lines of the parking space I want to back into, so I could use them as a reference for when I move forward two spaces. I then looked through the back passenger window to see where the cone closest to me would appear in the window when parking, which was a reference to where I needed to see the cone in the window on the test to pull into the spot. Best of luck! The instructors are very nice at Essex, so don’t feel overly pressured.
Congratulations. Did they let you use the back up camera?
@@adeyemiabolade8406Thanks! Yes, they allowed the use of the backup camera.
Took my test today and passed with flying colors…the route is the same and it’s not hard just practice and focus. I also got real lucky with the instructor he was a cool guy and gave pointers
I take mine today. I’ll come back and let yall know if I pass. This help alot. I drive on my permit alot so I’m use to stopping at the white line and not behind it which is how I failed my first test. I’ll stop at the stop but when that white line is there sometimes I stop at it. But now since I know to ALWAYS stop before it i should past today. This my 2nd time.
Do you know if you’re allowed to make a right turn on red on the test?
@@PaperclipSkrunklyi did a right turn on red in frederick md mva road test, only do it if ur allowed to at an intersection (no signs that say no right on red)and when its completely safe, don’t rush ur self bc turning right on red isn’t required u can wait it out and not get faulted for it.
@ thank you so much but I actually passed the test two weeks ago 😅
Thank you for this video you helped so many people including me passed it first try with a suv. Appreciate you🎉🎉
Took my test today and passed! It’s the same route, just stay calm and listen to your instructor. YOU GOT THIS!
No 2 or 3 point turns?
Thanks for the update!!!
Thank you I take it next week!
@@ElizaBeth-qx6ccExcluding your learner’s permit, what else do you take to MCA for skills test? Do we need to take skills log sheet and certification from supervising driver?
@ after backing in you put it in park
Do you have to do a outside car check?
This is ridiculously easy, practice!!...listen and follow instruction, stop behind lines & dont hit anything. Even if you think you are the best drivers in the world stay humble and drive the way you are supposed to for 15-20 min and you get a license.
I found this video after I failed my first test, tmr is my second attempt I’ve been watching it a lot hopefully I pass😭😭
Best of luck!
Still the exam is this road?
@@fathiali4070 yes! And I passed you’ll do fineee
@@CaNiyah_ congratulation , i hope pass. Thanks
After i do the Knowledge Test at MVA I will be able to do in Frederick MD.The MVA Driving Test which includes the On Course road at MVA and driving on Public Roads. I'm Very Very Nervous about doing this but i think that i will be able to pass the MVA driver's Test if i do on the 1st try and then after i do end up passing the MVA Driver's Test my Dad is gonna be extremely proud of me! God Keep Me safe and i pray to god that i will pass!
Good luck!
I have my road test tomorrow!
Did you pass? And how was it? Was the reverse parking the same? And were the cones huge or was there enough space??
How did you do the two point reverse?
@ Try to line up the front right cone with your back seat right window’s separation line with that smaller window. Then just steer all the way and back. Try it first.
@@vezra2077okay was the pole long enough for you to see it at the corner of the back window???
@ yes and it’s a very wide lot so you’ll just do fine. Don’t stress.
Took my test today and my examiner failed me because I apparently did not pass by the parking spot with enough room. Meanwhile I pulled about as far away as the example here. Smh I hate when people get on a power trip. I need whatever examiner is in this video
The cones are even too small too. Did you hit any of the cones???
I go take my license on Sep 3 and it's hard finding someone with a car
I have just taken my exam this morning. They did exactly what the same as the video showed! Passed on the first try, thank you for sharing. The examiner was a very chilled guy!
Will take mine today.. Wish me luck! I'm nervous!!!
Was your examiner in the car?
@@cloudyskieszn yes he was! He will sit next to you and tell you where to go for the test.
@@irenepriante9938awesome, thanks!
Will be taking my skills test next week. Is the test still the same? No parallel parking right?
Hi, I have a question about bringing what you needed before the driving test starts, and it's about the driving skill book that everyone gets in the after your Knowledge test, but I kinda lose my book in my room. I heard from my sister that when she did her driving test that she didn't need it when it was her first time, but it's been a few years since she got her license. But the rules said that you have to bring the skill book to the driving test. I scheduled to do the test the following week. I'm still nervous about the driving test and worried about not finding my skill book on time, but I feel a bit more comfortable with driving, and I shouldn't be worried about the book so much.
You can pick up another book at any MVA or print out the log sheets and signature page here: mva.maryland.gov/Documents/RD-006.pdf
Sorry. For the constant comments lol. But I really wanna pass the two point turn into cones. That’s the only problem I have. I’m not worried about the road portion of the test. When you were reverse parking where did you stop at. What was your reference points?. I always mess it up.
The parking spot is surrounded by a curb. The curb extends pass the parking lines on each side. You should try to line your rear wheel with the curb further down the road. It might be hard to see if you're actually lined up. A trick is to stop when the first flag from the second parking line is lined up inside the little window (called the quarter glass) on your rear passenger side. Once you're lined up, turn your wheels all the way to the right first and then start backing in. Use your side mirrors to check if you might hit a cone and adjust slightly while backing in until you straighten up. It's best to practice in a parking lot. Put some boxes to act as cones and try to fit in there. In the parking lot, the lines for the parking spot next to the one you're using are about the same distance away as the curb on the course. Since the curb is extended on the course, simulate this by putting something down as a marker on the road 9 footsteps away from the end of the parking line that is acting as the curb. Try to line your rear wheel up with that line and try to park. Keep practicing until you get comfortable and try to do it without having to move forward when backing in.
@@heckhuon thank you for the tip! i think the reason i failed was due to nerves, but also due to the fact i didnt use the quater glass i forgot, i used the rear view big window with the sticker on it. question - when you say first flag from the second parking line, is that the 1st cone or the second? sorry again for the constant emails
For reference, you will be using the second parking line and set of cones that are furthest down the road. From these, line up the first flag from the cone closest to your car in the little glass at the back of the rear passenger window. Check this video out to get a visualization of the reference point: ruclips.net/video/6rsES8CxayQ/видео.htmlsi=hO7YyesrgZbJoOzk. Depending on your car, you may to need to adjust (more forward, back, or centered) to find the best position for the flag in the little window. Practice to figure this out!
What did you use as a reference point for your parking?

What’s the best time to take your driving test I’m going next week and I’m so nervous
Any time should be fine. Just make sure you are prepared. Practice parking 10+ times until you feel confident in controlling the car. Also, drive along this route if you can. Good luck!
What the hell os this camera angle bro show the fucking car
This is from the point of view of the test taker.
Hey I have a question. I’ve heard that we can turn right on a red traffic light but I saw that you waited each time before turning right even though I couldn’t see a No Turn on Red sign. Will really appreciate if you can clarify! I’m new to this country and struggling to understand the rules.
I took this same route for my test today and I confirmed with the instructor that according to Maryland rules, you can make a right turn on red. He confirmed yes, as long as it's safe, so I made the turn. I'm from out of state, but I ended up passing and getting my license!
@@BlessedByHisGrace7 thank you so much, this helps! Bless you.
You are allowed to turn right on red after a full stop. If you feel more comfortable waiting for a green light, that is perfectly fine as shown in this video.
Did you stop behind that first yellow line
Which yellow line?
Are you able to go after hours and practice the closed course?
No, the gate will be locked. However, you can walk on foot and take a look around.
05/28/2024 - I did my test yesterday! It’s the same ! I had to go a different way in the very beginning bc a truck was in the way but I ended up on the same route. My instructor was very nice her name is Nekia! And my test seemed pretty short tbh lol thank you for this video !
Thanks for the update. Great job!
Planning on taking my test soon. After watching this, I almost feel confident enough. Just need to perfect the reverse, which is my biggest hurdle.
Keep practicing. Let us know how you did.
Thank you so much for this video! I took the test today and the route was the exact same and I passed!
Glad it helped! Thanks for the update.
44 year old first time driver, passed the test today 6-20-24. The route is still the same. Max speed was 30 mph. Essex is a great place to take the test...go after morning rush hour but before noon. There was literally no one on the side streets and my examiner was great
Congratulations! 🎉
As of April 2024, the course is still the same!
Just passed after 3rd attempt, course is still exactly the same, just pay attention to the signs, they’ll ask you about that.
Thanks so much! I watched this video nearly everyday this past month and took my exam at this location today. I passed!!
Great job! 🎉
What location in.mva is this pls'?
i failed man on the two point turn😢
Keep trying! Practice in an empty parking lot.
literally passed 2/7/24 thank you for this vid 🙏🙏🙏
Glad it helped!
How do I know what speed to go if it doesn't show the speed limit on a sign? Because in this video it doesn't always show it but the limit in the caption changes. and like I'm not going to be able to memorize all of these.
Unless posted otherwise, speed limits in Maryland are 15 mph in alleys in Baltimore County, 30 mph on all highways in a business district and undivided highways in a residential district, 35 mph on divided highways in a residential district, 50 mph on other undivided highways, 55 mph on other divided highways, and 70 mph on interstate highways and expressway. For the purposes of this test, try to go 10-15 mph in the small alleys and back roads and 20-25 mph on the main roads. Do not exceed the speed limit as they will fail you for going even 1 mph over the limit. It is okay to go under during the test.
Been watching this video for a while to practice the route. I just passed my test today in my first time. Thank you so much!
Congratulations!🎉 I’m taking mine next week. Did your instructor ask you to switch lanes? Or ask what signs you passed, etc?
Was it the same route?
Is that it? Surely there has to be more to the driving test than that..‽
Hey,I’m gonna have my road test next week.is it still the same as this video?am I allowed to do adjustments in the reverse parking if I need to ?
I took my test last Friday and passed. It’s exactly the same. Just stay calm and ask questions if needed. Yes, you can make adjustments in the reverse parking just make sure to get it under 3 mins. Good luck!
@@ShaniAmos-ht1lv ok thank you
So it’s just 2 point turn about and stop signs in the close course
Thanks for the video😭 the routes are exactly the same. Make sure you know the speed limit because the instructor will ask. It’s really easy just relax.
The test is still the EXACT same. Thanks a lot I passed on my first try
Is the reverse parking hard?
where do you live
do they allow using the back cam while reverse parking?do I need to keep one hand on passenger seat while doing reverse parking? thank u in advance.
Either way is fine. Be sure to use your rearview mirror as well.
I'm having test this weekend. Is this still just a two point turn?
I'm having mines soon, how did it go for you?
