    I love the way you teach. It's a very personal overview of your track, but you still teach people how to mess with the knobs and figure it out themselves. Good job, sir.

    Fade to grey still exists in ableton 9 - but it's called '1 knob: Fade to Grey' It can be found in the audio effect rack presets under performance/dj.

    I never knew or explored enough to realize that the multi drum option in the drum rack was so easy to do. I've had a maschine longer than I've had Ableton and I knew how to do the Master/Slave to thicken up drums but this was dope to see here. So easy. Thanks for this. Will have to watch the whole thing more in depth when it's not so late but so far, really dope tutorial and amazing track.

      ***** Indeed man, thanks for watching. Yeah, It's pretty easy. Once you really dig into stuff a bit deeper in Ableton a lot of it is simpler than expected. Glad I could help you pick something up from it!

      Nobody Famous are the background vocals re-recorded or are they just cut and pasted from the main verse/hook?

    • @nobodyfamous
      @nobodyfamous 9 лет назад

      GaryyyyyD They are separate tracks that were recorded by the artist. So they say the same thing, but aren't exactly the same. Basically, just doubling it on parts of emphasis.

I's just very fresh and the way you explained things and broke down the process of how you construct a full song is something not many people on RUclips can do well. I appreciate it and I really hope you put out more content like this. You could really build a lot of buzz for yourself just by putting out these awesome tutorials.

    great concept great sound and nicely put together , but i hope you welcome constructive criticism . From a mixer point of view there is some weird phasing side to side movement hapening when I listen to it on my pro studio set up ... may check your phase on each track maybe you will get more power of of things.

      well it literally comes down to preference, which DAW you decide to use. But for me and a lot of other producers it's Ableton, since you can do a lot and it's pretty easy to learn. And then for the basic set-up you'll need a Soundcard (also known as an Audio Interface) , here i'd recommend a Focusrite Scarlett one (2i2 for example) or the Apogee Duet 2 USB Audio Interface. Then I'd suggest getting a Midi Controller (Which is not necessary but does make the producing process A LOT faster, smoother and easier), so again depending on your preference and budget you could either get a 25 keys midi keyboard up to a 88 keys one. My personal suggestions (Especially for Ableton) here would be the Akai MPK Mini series or if you're looking for sth bigger then M-Audio ones are a pretty decent choice. And then as for the headphones I'd recommend the Beyerdynamic DT-770 or the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 X. Oh and soundproof your studio ! (or at least have an Micscreen if you also plan on doing some Vocals) so to summarize:
      - DAW (Ableton Live 9)
      - Soundcard (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 / Apogee Duet )
      - Midi Controller (Akai / M-Audio)
      - Headphones and or Speakers (Beyerdynamic DT-770 / Audio-Technica ATH-M50 or Speakers: KRK Rokit 5)
      - for Vocals: Mic: Rode NT1 or Neumann
      - Soundproofing: Micscreen or Foam
      - and if you're up for it DAW- Controller like the Ableton Push and Synthesizer
      if you're having some problems or want some advice you can contact me any time at :
