Good video. But I think these apps are stuck in the past. What we need now is multi-safe areas for RUclips, Square, Vertical video, etc all on one since we often need to export in all these formats.

I didn't even know these existed. lol! I've been calculating safe areas for various scenarios, then making solid color layer overlays cropped to the proper size. Then I save them in my power bins to use in any video project. Just overlay and reduce the opacity and see if stuff fits inside the safe area.

What would actually by useful is if there was a way to SEE your own overscanned image. Example if you zoom in 75% on a clip, if you could actually see what is outside the cropped image. Doesn't seem to be a way. I have looked EVERYWHERE and now thinking the only way is to make a 4k timeline and a custom HD safe area (25% or 50% of 4k) and do it like that then output 1080 centre crop no scalling.

That is the most minimal "customization" possible. It's nearly useless. It needs options for bot horizontal and vertical settings and the ability to save out separate settings files for different needs since. There is a lot more than TV now, with multiple different formats for all the social media platforms we really need the ability to customize things like this..
