    This video is tremendous! I followed these steps, but replaced the motor on the existing regulator. All the same in the end for my happy daughter.

    Great job Roy, I had the same problem on my 2004 Camry. I changed the switch first but problem remained I then targeted the motor .
    Hope you do other repair clips on these Camrys such as brakes jobs, power steering hose leaks and basic tune up issues .

    Hi Roy, I wanted to let you know that your excellent video has really boosted my confidence. I have decided to replace both the regulator and motor for the window, as it is currently not functioning properly. Could you please provide some guidance on how to lower the window and remove the screws from the glass for both side panels?

    Great presentation! Just a couple of questions, why replace the bottom track from old regulator to new? Would the aftermarket one not work? And the most important, if your window is stuck in the up position how would you drop the window down?

    Hey roy i love your videos...i have a 2014 toyota sienna limited i replace my regulator and the motor and also the master switch...but still doesn't roll up what could it be?

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 года назад

      Does it go down if you manually raise it the window? Does your other windows work? Depending on your answer, I would probe the window motor and make sure there’s power going to the motor, if it doesn’t have power then it might be the master switch. If none of the windows work then I’d also check the power window fuse. It could also be as simple as defective parts, I’ve had my fair share of defective parts. Let me know how it goes, thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Hi Roy - I really appreciate your excellent video on window regulator replacement! It has helped me open up the door so I could diagnose the problem on my 2002 Camry. I hope you can answer a question... my 2002 Camry was made in Japan, and there are different OEM part #'s for the regulator depending on if the car was US-built or Japan-built. All the after-market regulators I've found indicate they are for US-built. The motor on the original regulator is fine, so I can reuse it and not worry about the connector. So the question is focused on the mechanical regulator itself. Do you know what differences are between regulators for US-built vs. Japan-built? Thanks again for your help!

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  2 года назад +1

      I know that sometimes Japan built and US built have different part numbers, I usually tell the parts store what I need/part number if I know. If it doesn’t fit, I tell the parts guy and usually they’ll swap it out for the counterpart built. Most of the parts shops I deal with usually will know and ask if I know if it US or Japan built. I can’t say I know specifically what the different for the regulator is, I really couldn’t say unless I had both models in front of me. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    how’s it uncle Roy, i get one 2002 camry as well. my drivers window isn’t aligned and there’s a gap in the 90 degree corner. how do you align it?

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 года назад

      That’s very odd, there’s a possibility that there’s an adjustment (like a bar on the side of it) on the window regulator and you’ll have to play around with it to align. If there isn’t an adjustment, it’s possible that your rubber channel is good or you could’ve gotten a wrong replacement window. Hope that helps, let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Brother I need your advice and brilliant ideas PLEASE my bro.
    I'm Michael in England by the way brother and own a 2000 Honda Civic EJ9 Hatchback but right hand drive for the Japanese Market.
    So unknowingly I've only gone and ordered a Dorman 741-736 window regulator which is for a USDM Honda Civic's (Passenger side) so have just discovered that the regulators motor electrical plug is a 2 pin whereas on my UKDM Civic (Driver side) it's a 4 pin plug.
    So basically regulator and motor would fit as it's for the right side door, just theres 2 wires and a 2 pin plug instead of 4 wires and a 4 pin plug to connect to my UKDM wiring as my civic is right hand drive and regulators are reversal compared to left hand drives.
    Any ideas to work round this bro? Damn totally my fault I should've known plugs would be different being that RHD - UKDM and LHD- USDM,
    Totally my fault 🤦🏼🤣
    Your advice and ideas would be greatly appreciated please brother,
    Kind regards
    Michael in England

    Is there a fuse that powers the motor? I already replaced the motor but it still doesn’t work.

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 года назад

      I’m pretty sure it has a fuse, it has to have a fuse. Usually the fuse doesn’t wear out as much so I’d check the power window switch first to make sure it’s working properly. If it’s working properly then check it fuse to see if it’s burnt out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    I don't understand why I would need to switch out the bottom rail. My replacement is almost identical except for an extra half-moon cutout on the top of the bottom rail on the screw down tab at each end.

      I believe it all depends on the brand. There’s a lot of after market parts out there and they’re all similar but a little different. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Am I missing something here? Why doing the "replacement" if the window is perfectly working up and down as shown in the video... What is the point?

    • @BryceCartlidge
      @BryceCartlidge 12 дней назад

      The motor was weak and not fully rolling up and down. He claimed it was overheated, I’d say just old and worn down. Either way, the motor was on its way out.
