Wow, what a masterpiece. When I listen to this, it grounds me even when I'm at my most untethered. It connects me to the ocean, the natural world, to everything around me. I feel a sense of spirituality that I wasn't sure I had. This is a beautiful piece, and I know I'll be listening to it time and time again. Hail Odin.

I feel a special connection with the sea
We all do. Life began in the ocean, and our bodies are mostly water. Aquatic plant life recycles as much or more oxygen than terrestrial forests, and fish are a delicious source of high-quality protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. That's why we need to take better care of our aquatic environments, both freshwater and marine...because if they die, we die too!

I always felt the call of the sea. Always wanted to have my own little ship and sail across the Mediterranean and Baltic and visit every harbor and island.
I think it is also roots from my ascentors. They were Frisian and very connected to the sea.
I spent years at sea in all weather. Its one of the best feelings in the world being at sea. Having said that its also a great feeling to be told you are headed back home...
Whenever I listen to this music, I feel like I'm in the viking voyage of exploring the new land...

It sure is interesting to learn about Vikingum today, but to have been one? It MUST have been a harsh, hard, and frightening existence. Near-constant states of war causing unbelievable numbers of dead on their side... makes me glad I live today, and not in those trying times.
My ancestors had a rough go of it. But then again, I suppose everyone in those times did.
Makes me wonder if the peoples of tomorrow will see us the same way, and pity us for our savagery and lack of all that they will undoubtedly have. If the universe allows our societies to grow and prosper, with no intervening asteroidal catastrophes to once again knock us into the dirt, and overpopulation doesn't destroy the earth, it will surely be so.

I live in New Zealand, which is probably as far South as you can get, (other than Antarctica of course) but this ambience really connects me the world around me while taking me away from it at the same time?
I may also have Norse ancestry according to my father which is quite exciting.
Norse culture is so fascinating in so many ways! Mythology is something I'm absolutely in love with. I've been over Greek Mythology a few times and really enjoyed that but Norse has been a bit confusing.

Maybe she's not latina. Maybe she is an european spaniard. Norse pagan gods were represented with different names (Neton = Odin, Cariocecus, Endouelico) in the Iberian peninsula (search for "Celtiberian Runes" and you will be surprised how identical they are.) Norse protected most of europe by adopting different look but not changing their essence so mostly european MUST connect with this music.
