- ✒ Go into the forest he said... it will be easy he said.... Damnit Rakeesh!
As I pull his limp body under yet another fallen tree, I look up and the trees look back. The sun is still out so I need not fear them yet but I know that come nightfall those same, peaceful trees, will come for us again. They do not like strangers tramping through their land...
My back screams at me to stop, my feet beg me to rest but I cannot.. not yet. It's not far now.. the edge of this god's forsaken place.
Above me, the trees creak and groan.. straining to stretch their limbs down towards us... I dare not look up.

I hope you enjoy this (yet another) dark fantasy ambience. You can hear sounds of the forest, owls hooting, trees creaking, wind blowing leaves whispering, blended with original ambient fantasy music.

Martia: I create ambiences with original music. My favorite genre is fantasy, but I sometimes venture into sci-fi, horror, history, or plain (but beautiful) natural settings.
I am heavily inspired by books, as I am a total bookworm, by PC games and DnD which my husband loves and talks about. I love long cross-country hikes, that feel like a huge adventure and you can see it in the number of traveling ambiences I produce 😀
You are at the right place if you are looking for one of these: ambient music for reading, ambient music for work, ambient music for sleep, ambient music for studying, ambient music for relaxation and ambient music for RPG, background music for studying, background music for reading, background music for working, background music for writing, or background music for DnD.

Hi!
Thank you for all your amazing comments!
As a few of you asked about it, I uploaded DARK FOREST on other platforms.
Unfortunately, I couldn't upload it as is, it had to be changed a little bit and also made shorter. I hope you will like it :)

I wrote nearly 1700 words with the help of this track. Very appreciated!!!

Dark isolated forest with an eerily music? Yup. Sounds like a chill place to do homework alone. Not weird at all....

So relaxing and immersive... wow!
Excatly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. - Sounds fantastic!
Thank you! I am so happy to hear that! :) And welcome to my channel ;-)
I wouldn't mind being buried or laying my ashes to rest, having a mossy, faded tombstone inscribed with my name or family crest to slowly become one with the forest.
I'm listening to this while reading The Laws of the Skies...perfectly unsettling
I will not only be using this in an upcoming game, but I will also be using this for myself as ambient sound to get some good sleep tonight. Thank you.
I can sense the magic in these Woodlands!
I was looking for a specific environment video until I came across this one. I put it on while relaxing to sleep, and it led to a sinister experience! I could see all the dark side and all the evil in me reflected back to myself in a mirror. it was my reflection, my face. but the energy that emanated from that other "being" on the other side. it was just evil.
Creepy
Corvus travell journal: "Well, i found an ancient shadowsteel longsword in an pld temple, weirdly enough the door to it opened for me, maybe I am something special, even though i am a renegade paladin, my father is hunting me down, i hated all these rules and laws paladins followed, i wanted to explore and learn about ancient powers. Today, im fairly well known as Corvus, im woth a renegade paladin group, but im mostly on my own, travelling these dark and mystic landscapes, this dark forest gives me chills, i feel like im being watched by the trees. well i have to continue walking, not much further anymore and i can set up a safe camp outside this damned forest. i hope this shadowsteel blade is what it's supposed to be, the legendary Ravenblade. this will help me alot.
im Corvus. the last Ancient warrior."
Is there no end to this? They warned me not to cross the forest. I didn´t listen, "superstitious fools", I thought. Everything is so quiet and yet I know something is following me.
@@MartiasMuses Fog begins to settle around me, it feels so cold and lonely, I can see my breath forming mesmerizing clouds that numb my actions. The world around me begins to vanish and blur. I hear the dazzling scream of a raven, he is flying obove, watching me struggle. What is happening to me ? Am I dreaming ? As my thoughts carry on, I feel a heavy tingle next to my hip, a taunting blue light appears that starts slowly to increase in intensity. As the light shines brighter and stronger, my mind gets lifted from the fog surrounding it. I remember the old German tale about my Ravenblade. "Hörst du den Raben schreien so nehme dich in Acht, das blaue Licht leuchtet nur in tiefer Nacht" The raven... The blue light... It's a warning. Danger is close.
Well done. Restrained and nuanced.
Thank you 😊
The music is beautiful.
Thank you 😊
This is superb, I can feel the dampness around me x)
Thank you :)
I love this track. I love it that much, I have to ask if i can use it in my movie
Hi, with proper crediting you can use it in your project that is not in format similar to my work 😉 so movie should be fine 😊
Amazing music ❤️ it relaxes a lot and lets go of heavy thoughts
If i were to ask someone to scatter my ashes, i would say - in the deepest woods like this.
Its perfect, calm, cool, and . . . feels like home.
Simple.
nice job - really get feeling like that when i am on mountain on bad weather:)
Thank you 🙂
I've been reading "The Ritual," and listening to this as background noise.
Today, I had a dream that was like a movie. It was very long, intricate, lot of events happened, and it focused on a single group of characters including me. Half of the dream was located in a dark forest. Since I have a compulsive need to always look up on the internet any idea I have, so I have some questions answered, I ended up here. Didn't get any answer this time. Here or anywhere else. But yeah, the mood is similar.
cool :D
So far, im only half way through this, but all i feel like is traveling through the woods with my pointy ear'd friend with his bow n arrow, and my short, bearded friend with his Axe.
How to use this to instil extreme unease in DnD players.
First: The map has to have no discernable landmarks. Just a single trail.
Then, simply ask the party to roll a collective stealth check, every dozen meters or so.
You roll a perception check, silently, then tell your players to continue.
This can be for literally no reason. This could be for a monster of some kind. Hell, it could be for some deer if you want.
But if they fail the stealth check too many times, have something happen. An animal jumps out, a branch cracks, something to scare your players, and their characters, shitless.

Stay calm this is the realm we must camp here for tonight

Hello! this is amazing! could I have your permission to use it in a livestream as an ambient sound? I will credit you of course
Respect the Woods. Be Patient. Focus.
If you get the Referance good job
Can you post a slower version of this slow version
Hi, may I use this in my upcoming short film, or does this have copyright?
Is this available for public use for other creators or is that something you'd dislike? Id like to use it for a few video projects if that's allowed

"There he is.. hahaha!"
"Careful Will, don't touch him!" She said
Will didn't listen, he was too excited. So he took the jewel. Will laughed, he felt young again.
"We got it! Finally! We're gonna be SWIMMING in gold!"
"WILL~"
. . .
That was what William Alexander last heard before being disemboweled by the lich he stole the jewel from.
Then, there was silence. The lich took back his jewel and looked at the 2 people who remained. The baby birds residing in his skull chirping in fear. He reached into himself and pulled them out and gently sat them on ground, along with the nest.
The lich lunged at the two and the fight was over in a second. They both died instantly from heart attacks.
Context: Lipent Hex is an ancient lich which now sleeps in a cave well hidden in a forest chalk full of illusions. He was the one who made huge advancements in necromancy and dark magics in general. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on who you ask, he was trapped in that said forest. Now he roams the world free, slowly regaining his powers.
Finally, a nature video that doesnt make it seem like youre IN the river or up a tree with a family of birds
Haha ain’t that the truth
If you’ve never read a horror/thriller novel to spooky ambient music then you have to try. Especially at night, maybe with a candle going in your peripheral for atmosphere… Nothing beats that type of mental zone.💀🖤
Indeed. Love finding comments that talk about creativity and ambience. I have a Playlist here called Ambience.
Yes!!! I’m currently reading The Troop by Nick Cutter and listening to this!
Any recommendations?
This is a huge help in writing my novel. It has really inspired my imagination. The subtle music in the background along with it instead of just pure ambience is great.
Thank you 😊 I am so happy it helps your imagination... That's what I was hoping to create 😉

A man of culture I see.
I am highly selective....and particular when it comes to music. Most 'relaxing' music irritates me with high pitched pan flutes, depressing piano, or bells and whistles.
This however, is .....perfect. Calming, seductive, dark, comforting, inspiring.
Just my style.
Thank you, I am so happy you like it 😊 I have the same problem with relaxing videos and it was one of the reasons I started creating those 😉
@@MartiasMuses thank you for making this, listen to this every night. Wish there was a lot more variety when it comes to this type of ambience but it’s hard to come across. So thank you again for this!

The wood's music is beautiful. enough to affect , it is relaxing but in the same time a little gives fear because of the wood's appearing
Man I really do love rain. Ever since I was a kid I appreciated a rainy day over a sunny one. Something so peaceful about it. Sucks to say that it doesn’t rain where I live that much anymore.
It's raining here right now and man, it's beautiful, the air smells so fresh and little bit of flowers that grow in the yard.
Have you ever heard about a place where always raining ? This place is called CHIRAPUNJI in India !
Iam welcoming you to this beautiful place ! You will love it.
Always raining!!!

There's a solemn solitude in silence stranger. Don't forget that you are a part of this world as much as it is a part of you, and this world never forgets and is never quiet.
This is perfect for helping me get in the mood for writing my dungeons and dragons character for a future campaign, the atmospheres brilliant for sorting out his past
To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life.
Nice from you, thank you! God bless you! :)

A long time ago in the 1930s there was an old facility, and many people don't know about it, this facility was used to test certain things like biological status of DNA and the government wanted to improve humans with certain chemicals but it went wrong. The first test they did was they took a scientist that was in the facility and used him unwillingly, they injected the needle and left the room, the hum buzz of the lights and the old crusty walls that had peeled off, was the last thing he saw before the chemicals started to kill him, after 2 minutes of excruciating pain and suffering, he seemed as if he died, 2 armed soldiers were recruited in and to take the deceased body of the scientist to a room were it would be boarded up and locked away forever but the thing wasn't dead, it slashed and ripped the guards organs, skin, hair, flesh, and limbs off 3 other guards ran in the room with rifles and shot at the thing, it seemed as if it were dead, so the proceded to take it to the old room, and the room wasn't completely empty the room had gasoline in it and wooden crates, it sat there for 3 years until sometime in 1939 the pipes that led all throughout the facility that had a explosive chemical in it reacted with somthing and exploded the facility was in ruins, the fire somehow managed to get in the things room and the gasoline and wooden crates fueled it, the thing had not have ate in 3 years or drank water so it burned it felt everything it was in pain. In that facility, underground, in the forest, it has been there, it may never get out it is stuck there, all throughout the years some survivors killed themselves in the worst ways possible because they swear they could see that thing, allways in the corner of their eye, no one could fix them.

I know you probably dont get many comments like this but im a depressed man in early 20s and listening to this music while smoking a joint with an incence lit and thinking about nature really helps me stay alive
I too have had depression since I was seventeen, I am now fifty six. Smoking pot relaxes me, and it helps me sleep. I had twenty five years of insomnia, and after giving up on regular medications (too many side effects), I now have it most nights. I live in Victoria Australia, where to grow, sell or possess marijuana is still illegal. Eventually our government will see the light on the many benefits of cannabis, and will most likely tax it. But at least people will have the freedom to use it for medicinal purposes, or just to relax. As for this beautiful music, I am a writer of science fiction /fantasy books, and I can see all my wonderful worlds etc… peace be to you, Blessings. :)
Надеюсь, что у тебя всё будет хорошо.
As I write, I begin a relationship with my characters, some are friends, some are foes, but it makes the relationship real when you can hear the setting of where you are meeting them.

@@LynTheWitch Yes. My story is about a town trapped inside a semi-enchanted forest. A wolf demon named Noctis terrorizes them, killing and eating anyone who enters the forest, hoping to escape. But, on a full moon night, the stones lose their power and he attacks anyone foolish enough to be outside their home.
A girl who's been living in this town her whole life happens to come across him while searching for a particularly special stone. They somehow form a bond and there's a major plot twist at the end.
