The only channel I’ve seen that makes original ambient music, without compilations, that is predominantly acoustic in sound. All “Fantasy” musical soundscapes have obvious synths that just break my ability to immerse myself in a true fantasy world. Thank you, Martia, for being special
THANK YOU for this IMMENSELY helpful comment. It made me subscribe instantly because I feel the same way. I CRAVE acoustic (partly bc I'm a professional musician). Synth is ok when used sparingly, but I find it so overbearing in most of these sorts of videos, & it feels impossible to find decent quality ones like this. I'll becoming back & adding lots of these to playlists for when I work on my writing project (fantasy series).
Both sound and visual reminded me of Skyrim. For a moment i could see myself there in the painting as the legendary hero, effortlessly crossing the lake and running uphill between those mountains and as I do I feel the cold breeze coming from above to embrace me, I struggle to make my way to the top by climbing and jumping around awkwardly, when i finally make it, I'm rewarded with the view of the whole valley, I stand there, one step away from certain death, in awe at the sight, at the world scale, at the solitude, at the proximity to the stars and at Jeremy Soule's epic score... As I'm lost in the moment, a warm feeling hits me all of sudden, a warmth that contrasts with the freezing temperature I find myself in, I didn't know what the feeling was back then, all i knew was that it felt good, I never managed to reproduce that same feeling again, now i think i know what it was, it was the realization that I was free to go where I wanted and be who I wanted, that I was in control of my actions and destiny, that I had the power to influence the world, so much freedom, so much responsibility, for once I had agency, in that brief moment I felt alive, that feeling was new, alien to young me. Having your work beside Jeremy Soule's compositions wouldn't sound out of place at all, it has the scale, the solitude, the awe was about to say could make it big, thank you people that made Skyrim into the frozen haven that it was for me, you made me want to go north one day, and you better have be giant moons and auroras awaiting for me there! and maybe a mudcrab or two along the way...
