I love how every time you die in this mission and it reloads, the guards shouting "Shoot! Shoot the flying demon!" change appearance.

I love how in the beginning of the song it starts off with like apprehensiveness and fear to take off and then as the song progresses it's like okay you're in the air, feel that ? Feel the freedom ? Enjoy it. It just syncs perfectly with how I felt playing this part. I was panicking trying not to crash or lose the elevation and when I got the hang of it it was an amazing feeling to completing the mission.
You should become a pilot. All the feelings are there.
I quickly figured out the controls to the point where I didn't even need the fires to stay up when I played, but then again it was similar enough to Mario 64's flying hat....dear god I feel old.

It’s definitely a flawed game but I love it to death all the same
Everytime I hear this soundtrack I feel a mix of nostalgia for such a wonderful game, sad that I can't experience it for the first time again and disappointed that very few games made me enjoy the journey as much as this one. The design, the music, the characters and the story just all came together in such a beautiful way. I want Ubisoft to do it again. Take the time and really make some f**king special. Make me fall in love again.

what did you think of Origins? I think it was a step in the right direction for sure, but not as amazing as this game. Assassin's Creed 2 will always be the best game, because Desmond and Ezio were paralleled as two characters reluctantly stepping up into heroic roles to take on a larger evil. I agree with everything else you commend the game for!

Imagine a warm wind blowing through your hair listening to this song. you can truly see yourself flying.
Origins came really close for the feeling of playing a good Assassin's Creed game for the first time... but nothing compares to climbing into the flying machine and cruising out over Venice at night.

It's sad that I had to spent a 100% of my focus on trying to pilot the damn flying machine. I wasn't able to properly listen to the background music so I only got to discover this jewel among pearls after the fact :'(
Felt so good once I flew it properly though, it was great!

Beautiful soundtrack, absolutely incredible vocals in this. Jesper Kyd has immense talent, that's for sure. This is quite nostalgic as well, Assassin's Creed II was definitely the most engaging, emotional and immersive for me. Assassin's Creed, AC II, and AC: Brotherhood were the best games in the saga for me.

It has a very... Ludovico Einaudi feel to it some times. Great track of a great soundtrack for a great game. Damn, the memories.
Likidel Kaser Einaudi is more of a minimalist so I don't know where you're getting that feeling from. If you would have said Roberto Caccacciapaglia it would make more sense.
Man, I remember playing this game in 2011 on my hand me down PS3 from my brother (It was preinstalled) and it was such a magical experience. One of the best if not THE BEST forms of character development in any kind of media. Just jumping around on rooftops in Venice during the 15th century was so cool. I'm graduating very soon and I look back sometimes to how much fun I had back then. I wish childhood was longer
Every time I hear this soundtrack it gives me an uplifting feeling just like in the sequence itself that involves flying Leonardo's version of a glider
Its been 10 Years and still this game brings out Tears when I hear it's themes or see the gameplay...There will never be a better Assassins Creed than than that of Assassins Creed 2. Seeing Ezio develop from a young teen into an assassin was just one of many reasons why this is the best Assassins Creed game ever. From a young teen with a passion for girls and street fights to the mentor of the Assassins Brotherhood. So true! Try to consider all games that came after first two parts something else and not AC. For example :) The part with the pirates consider as "Pirates Creed" :) and so on...There is only 2 real assassins in this game and they are Altair and Ezio :) and thanks Ubisoft for that amazing experience. I can understand their passion for making money so I will forgive them for that other projects that came after :D the real deal :D. Also listen to this amazing music that came along with those games...pure greatness :)
@archit misal I miss the old games. Game developers were passionate about the games they were developing unlike now they only make them for money and that's it.
Edward's story is equally intriguing, especially the ending when he's turned from a selfish arrogant pirate to a man who actually cares abt something for once ! The way he looks back and sees all the friends he lost in the way❤️ makes me cry and gives me chills at the same time

The voice to this track just signifies the highs and lows of ezios story and all that he stands for. The new games (besides lacking music like this) missed out on the message to us, that life should be enjoyed and should be used to enlighten rather than cloud the minds of those we love and hold dear

Omg those sound's are killing me, this is the best AC i ever played.
It sucks that you have to put every ounce of your focus on flying and not getting hit when you have this beautiful soundtrack.
The music was half the game for me, it fused it all together. It added such a memorable athmosphere to every area that i couldn't imagine it without all those masterpieces playing in the background.
Its really badass when you control the machine and listen to this song

this is one of the best tracks ever made, funny part is that it actually never plays in the game. when you do fly over venice and do that part it only plays for about 10 seconds and switches to another song, pretty weird.

@@ilovebiscuits7771 AC1 had very boring structure though. Killing every target took a similar process, and Altair was quite a bland character. He was more interesting in later instalments like Revelations.

...that was such an incredible thing! It was like a dream would have come reality, when you were able "to get to know" the great and unachieved Leonardo Da Vinci and even more than that, you were able to actually play missions for and with him and become friends throughout the story and last but not least flew his "bird" over the rooftops at night. I had friggin' goosebumps, that lastet even ten to fifteen minutes later, when the mission already was over!.....these were games with meaning and education...these were the real deal! We need games like these back nowadays!!!!!

Anyone else saw that they put the flying machine in AC3 too? It appears during a homestead conversation and Connor gets in it the same way Ezio does. Though it crashes lol. While that is a nice nod to AC2, It's also a nice nod to actual history where Da Vinci always made some intentional errors in his designs to make sure no one replicates
