I always thought he looked great with the US title around his sexy waste. It made all of us fat, sweaty, out of shape SWEAT HOGS see what a REAL sexy man was supposed to look like. Life lessons from the Ravishing One!

This theme is SORELY missed when watching his matches on Peacock \ the WWE Network. He's also a rare guy who had two EXCELLENT themes from WWF & WCW.

Thank God for those Anthology DVDs. I don't even bother with watching 80s/early 90s stuff on Peacock.

Dude, wrestling theme or not, this is one of the longest bombs in sax'n history! This man crushed this. Demolished it. At the end of the take, they began dismantling the studio for museum purposes...

So he wanted Sensational Sherri to accompany him as he knew that she could make the women feel jealous of her always kissing Rude. Would have been great but Vince McMahon had other plans.
Yeah, he never struck me as the type of wrestler who needed a manager/mouthpiece to do all the talking for him since he was so damn good on the mic! I always felt he would’ve been better suited with a hot valet by his side, escorting him to the ring! (like how Savage had Elizabeth as his manager) a Missy Hyatt or Precious-type of valet @ the time would’ve been the ideal fit imo, though I could never really picture him having someone like Sherri by his side!

Actually, it's "legally distinct" from The Stripper. And this is the second version. I'm guessing V1 wasn't quite distinct enough, so we ended up with an incredible amount of stank on that sax for this one. It wasn't neccessary to go that hard, but it was done for the fans' benefit.
Kinda the same deal as the Mr. Perfect theme originally being The Theme From Exodus, and Ernest Gold wasn't too happy about it... so a few weeks later, Perfect ends up with the classic Jim Johnston composition we all know and love.

Rick Rude was born as a heel
It seemed like WCW was heading that way in early 1994. Harley Race interfered in Rude’s match against Sting at Spring Stampede and cost Rude the International Title. Rude later got his revenge on WCW Saturday Night, attacking Vader with a steel chair after Vader’s match against Maxx Payne to the delight of the crowd. WCW announced a Rude/Vader match for that year’s Slamboree, but Rude’s career-ending back injury in Japan put an end to that.
I often wonder what a face Rick Rude would have been like. I think it would have been an early version of what we got with Steve Austin: someone who doesn’t ask for the fans’ approval but they can’t help but cheer for him because he’s a badass.

It's been called "The Stripper", as shown in WWE 2k18 and 2k19. Simply Ravishing is the title of his far superior WCW theme.

This theme is in the older games like 2K14 and 2K15. The newer ones have some generic stripper music that Rude never actually used.

If vince had the balls to tell the ultimate warrior to drop the belt to rick rude, which is what he was supposed to do at summerslam 1990, maybe his career wouldn't have practically ended in wcw, i know he won the wcw title but could you imagine wwf was still hot in 1990 a heel champion that could work and do promos like randy savage wow.

Just wish Rude could've gotten cleared to wrestle when he returned to the World Wrestling Federation briefly in 1997 and later returned to WCW. Still funny, how Rude was on both RAW and Nitro the same night (with a full beard and with just a mustache).

Why do they play different music for him on Peacock? When I first heard wht they played I knew it wasn't right and it just is not the same without THIS music!
They have been doing that for years. Even back before the WWE Network. I am not sure why though.

Rick’s son Colton Rood passed away in 2016 he was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 3rd in Armuchee, GA
He was only 19 years old both he and Rick died in Georgia

Nope, this was written for WWE and was/is owned by them. They apparently think it sounds too much like "The Stripper" by David Rose to continue using it. Ever since the "Blurred Lines" lawsuit againist Robin Thicke a few years ago, WWE has been cautious about soundalikes.
WWE also stopped using a bunch of Jimmy Hart's WCW themes around 2014 despite owning them via their purchase of WCW and using them freely before that.

@@filthiestfish There's no other reason there could be. WWE has the publishing rights to Rude's theme and the other themes Jim Johnston composed for them. If there was an issue with Johnston, more themes than just Rude's would be affected. Like I mentioned, the same thing happened with certain WCW themes starting in 2014.

Back then when they were wrestling in the 80’s and 90’s that was wrestling,now with these guys ummm I don’t know it’s there but it’s missing something,back then the old school generation knew how to tell a story and sell it,wrestling started to get watered down after stone cold and the rock left.

this theme cannot be from Johnston himself, cause they cut it out on every WWE Network PPV for copyright reasons.
Johnston did compose it. Since around 2014 when the Network launched, WWE has been cracking down on their in-house music if it sounds similar to a famous composition. They own the publishing rights for WCW's original music (the themes Jimmy Hart made) but won't use the ones that are well known knockoffs.
