Figured I'd do a RVD vid to compensate for the shite I churned out when I used his Wreckless Intent theme.
The song is obviously "One of a Kind" by Breaking point which is based on RVD previous instrumental theme made by Jim Johnston.

Fun Fact: RVD is well known to always have a weed on him since he uses it as medicinal purposes. So when some of the wrestlers want some weed, they always ask RVD and he will give them for free. Vince tried to ban him from carrying weed to shows but RVD actually has a note from a federal judge allowing him to carry and use weed.

I actually know a handful of old and current WWE entertainers on a personal level as personal friends and I retired out of fighting pro in the arts so yes, I taken the bumps and being that I know a handful of them from college, my own martial arts team and relationships to their spouses who I got to know first, yup, it's fake sorry to inform you. The real fights when they happen usually does happen in the locker room which is not in public but it's rare.

Who I known & know is Jake the snake Roberts, I got to know his ex fiancee very well in which they are still very close today and I know is close friend who kept his snakes at her home in Tampa , the former owner of the old Reptile store that closed called "the snake pit" before she moved to Atlanta Georgia but his ex fiancee and still close friends lives in Orlando still. I got to know Sid Vicious through his Aunt whom was my college professor. Both Jake's and Sid's majority of their family is from the same area near Orlando Florida. Both my wife & I known Chris Benoit, his wife & children prior to him killing his family & himself as Chris Benoit was chosen for the same National martial arts team in Colorado Springs & at the same time years before he signed with WWE . My family and his family were very close friends. Rhonda Rousey & I had the same coaches from this same team before she got into WWE. My wife knows hulk Hogan personally as the familys nurse in Clearwater Florida but I myself do not know him at all. I am still friends with several today though I retired so yes, I know WWE wrestling is fake thank you. Why would these WWE entertainers lie to family & close friends?

I agree, I think he really helped to blur the lines between Cruiserweight Champion and Heavyweight Champion. Benoit and Jericho obviously were huge influences too, but I think Van Dam really moved like a high flying cruiserweight and this paved the way for the likes of Mysterio and Guerrero to main event.
2006 was when he finally broke through and became a world champion.

Truly one of a kind, nobody can do what RVD did in his prime. Fantastic wrestler. His biggest setback though was his lack of drive and ambition, don't get me wrong he worked very hard but he was happy to just go with the flow most of the time instead of banging on doors. Maybe liked his weed a little too much and was a little too chilled.
I feel like that's what made RVD him. He didn't care what anyone had to say about him. He was always simply him and did whatever he wanted. Be it being the top guy or just floating around. He knew who he was.
Saw rvd when aew was in gran rapids and got to meet him before the show. Such a cool dude and even he's older now he can still do a perfect five star frog splash.
