The problem wasn't having LOD, it was that it should have been a prolonged series instead of something that was really only done in six mans with Warrior and kind of came and went.
Problem being Eadie was on his way out. He thought he had a backstage rolee waiting for him or was promised one and that fell through. Unfortunately Crush was not a good replacement. It was almost having 2 smash's. Why have two when you already have a good one in Darsow. The team probably wouldn't have done as well if Darsow didnt replace Moondog Rex as Smash unfortunately because of how people knew Rex as Rex before the fact. Adams came in to replace Ax. At Survivor Series when the theme songs of Demolition, Jake “the Snake” Roberts, and Hulk Hogan played, it was electrifying! All great theme songs, reflected by the best era in pro wrestling. We will never have that again.
My favorite tag team in the 80's and if not all time. They were just brutal and fun to watch. And good workers and all their matches were never boring. It always happened something. Omg...I never laughed as much as when i saw that spectacle. Now that was "Wrestling"! Fun, excitement, hilarity, and having a good time. Thank you for the memories,
I remember that 6 men tag team match at Summerslam 1989 that took place on August 28, 1989. It was a real good wrestling match but i also remember the Survivor Series 1989 that took place on November 23, 1989. Demolition was teamed with Hulk Hogan and Jake "The Snake" Roberts and they went up against Ted Dibiase (Million Dollar Man), Powers Of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian), and Zeus then. During the Survivor Series of 1989, Demolition (Ax & Smash) was WWF tag team champions since they had the title belts then but the good thing about being a champion during those Survivor Series matches is ... if you get eliminated from the match, the title is still yours so Demolition still remained the champions after that match ... even tho, they were eliminated at some point of the match. It is the same thing with the 30 men Royal Rumble matches too. If a wrestler is the WWF / WWE title holder and he gets eliminated from the match, he is still the champion ... even tho, he did not win the match. It is only during the Summerslam events, Wrestlemania events, and other wrestling events of that like that championship titles can change hands.
Props for noting this as "v2" since most people think this was their first theme. Still hoping we get the original / no-vocals no-Derringer version someday.

@christopherhowe5180 They are not in the HOF because that greedy old man Bill Eadie tried to scam money from Vince in the lawsuit that was dismissed several times by a judge, that's why they're not in the HOF, it's certainly not because they are uNdErRaTeD because they're definitely not underrated at all, everyone knows how great they were.
