    Not a Gt, it’s a GT-line. They are not the same car. That’s why it’s ‘missing’ some stuff, including a ton of power😂

    • @MetzTech
      @MetzTech  Год назад +2

      Ahh. That makes sense! Thanks for the heads up. Still crazy fast for not being the GT

      Gt line way better choice. Has more than enough power

    • @NikSargent
      @NikSargent Год назад +1

      Simply a matter of opinion.
      I’m choosing the GT partly because it has adaptive dampers because of a spine operation. Each to their own.

      This whole "something-line" naming convention bugs me. VW has R-line, Audi has S-line, Hyundai has N-line, Mercedes has AMG-line, Ford has ST-line. It is just a marketing gimmick to trade on the name of a halo model, rather than letting the trim level stand on its own appeal. And it has the added detriment of diluting the name of the halo model.
      And I say this as the owner of an EV6 GT-line.

      @jimji2774 Год назад +3

      Yes GT-line guy. Also you get more like 250 miles range with this trim in awd which makes it a better daily driver. And the seats are more comfortable imo.

    Great to have You back! Thanks for a different and interesting review on the Kia!
    I didn’t know one thing about the Kia…

    Great video! BTW, wireless Apple Car Play or Android Auto is easy to implement by adding a Bluetooth adapter. I used the Teeran Car Play BT adapter (Amazon) and it connected and worked perfectly. It plugs into the same USB port as the wired phone connection. I can leave my phone in my pocket or place it on the console charger now. Keep up the great work!

    That car you have is the GT line S and has 310 miles of range. the GT has about 230 miles of range and around 600hp

    Thanks for the quick review of the EV6. Your complaint about the 200 mile range is not completely fair … the EV6 Wind (RWD) trim level will exceed 300 miles. And for the situation that CarPlay requires a wired connection, I understand this is a legal/business conflict between Apple, Google, and maybe TomTom as well. My EV6 Wind does support wireless iPhone calls, iTunes, and audiobooks using Bluetooth.

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 Год назад +1

      Yes, he quoted the range for the GT model. The GT-line and Wind variants can go much further.
      Also, the licensing dispute the keeps wireless carplay disabled has been resolved and some cars should have it activated via an update in the coming months.

    I own a EV6 FE, the mileage is not 200 miles per full charge, more like 280-300 miles. I live it.. have already 25k miles already on it.

  • @stephenclay6852
    @stephenclay6852 Год назад +3

    Hi l like the video except for your claims on the range of the GT line EV6. I have that very car and I get way more than the range you claim . At 90% state of charge I get 275 miles which is the percentage I chose to set as a limit for the cars charger.

    Good walk-through! Filming and holding an iPhone did however not feel very safe and distracting.

    Is there a "Bolt discontinued" video coming? I was just trying to talk my Mom into buying one of those but now I think I should look for something else.

    • @MetzTech
      @MetzTech  Год назад

      Yes, working on that! I feel like the fact that they’re being discontinued may make it an even better value. If you can find one at or below MSRP

    Hey bud you're getting the GT-Line confused with the full GT. Huge differences with performance and range.

      @MetzTech you should re-edit your review and at least add a caption about the big difference in range. It's just a suggestion.

    Thanks for this! You answered a lot of questions other videos don’t. The cameras are great but too bad about CarPlay, and I wish it had a glass roof. Also that range! Not enough to make me consider trading my ID.4 for this. Thank you!

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 Год назад

      The EV6 has all the hardware for Wireless Carplay, it is a licensing issue that keeps it disabled. However, Hyundai recently announced that the issue has been resolved and new cars will start having Wireless activated, and some existing card will be able to have it activated via an update, though they haven't yet announced which cars.

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 Год назад +2

      Also, the range he quoted is for the high-performance EV6 GT model. The car he is testing is a GT-line which has a much longer range. AWD is EPA rated for 274mi, RWD is for 310mi.

    • @jimji2774
      @jimji2774 Год назад

      @@amperformance7998 I believe 274 is too high. I think it is in the 250 mile range for this GT-line awd model.

  • @ram-ck7ti
    @ram-ck7ti 10 месяцев назад

    FYI: gt-line range is 2022 was an EPA estimated 274 miles on a full charge and the 2023 went down to 256 miles. The GT, not gt-line has about a 200+/- miles of range because of its beefy motors, better suspension, etc.

    My friend has a Ev6 and loves it. Unfortunately, he was stopped at a light and a pickup truck rear-ended him. :( It took 6 months to repair.

    Interesting car, I like the turn signal display on the dash panel. Not sure it's worth it for the price point (of course I'm a GM retiree so I'm a bit partial to GM vehicles). I do like the camera system, Tesla got it right with the ability to record everything that happens all around the car. That is something ALL manufactures need to incorporate in their vehicles. One big thing I don't care for is the design of the dashboard (and it looks like many of the manufactures are going this route, including the new Chevrolets), it looks like the display is an afterthought and somebody decided to stick a popup laptop display in front of the driver. Chevy did it right with the Bolt, screen display integrated directly in the dash, not something stuck on as an afterthought.....

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 Год назад

      Korean market EV6s have a security recording feature similar to Tesla's. Not sure why it isn't standard in all markets. Maybe a privacy thing...

    The GT Line isn't the same as GT. GT Line has more range and less power.
