Not wearing a hat in a car is a good thing..... disagree about the suspension, the ioniq 5 is too soft, the ev6 is a perfect mix of comfort and handling. Also, the ioniq 5 does not have wireless carplay either....
Love my EV6! Just to clarify, the Ioniq 5 100% requires a cable for the Carplay and Android Auto. Also, the GT-line has the headroom issues with the sunroof, but the other models have plenty of headroom. And the climate/radio controls can be set to a default which helps tremendously. I have a video on my channel about it.
I just got my ev6 a few weeks ago. I like it a lot. The thing that drive me nuts just like you was, you have to plug it in for the CarPlay play to work. The solution for that was I have to buy an aftermarket Wireless adapter. It's small and it work fine. It would have been nice if they had a build in wireless CarPlay though. Hopefully, they will listen to the consumers and add them in the coming year model.
Never thought I would be interested in a EV, but damn, this is one sexy car! The exact configuration you have is the car I wanted. Everything was perfect about this car for my first EV. But when I drove it the ONE THING that bothered me was the tilt steering wheel at its lowest setting was too high, much like a bus. Why doesn’t it tilt down more? It was too uncomfortable for me, I would be bothered every minute I drove it. I’m 5'9, obviously you are over 6 feet and probably didn’t notice. Also head room was not an issue. Please KIA, make the steering wheel tilt down more like any other car. Otherwise this is EV is a slam dunk!
First time seeing the Ioniq5. I though about it because of the retro look. But once I saw the EV6. I like the sporty look. I come from the sport Compact import Car scene decades ago, so the inside room is not a problem. I own quite a few S13/Silvia/92-95 Civic HB and the ev6 remind me of that. To each his own. :)
I find it rather depressing that the first thing of interest about any EV is not speed, driving dynamics, comfort or practicality, but range. It makes me fear that future car ownership is going to be a very sterile, joyless experience.
The sunroof version does have a slightly lower interior roof design. Plenty of headroom in the roof without the sunroof.

Agreed. There is no situation where a hat should be worn in a car unless in a convertable.

I did not notice when I test drove and I bought the car and I agree. I hate the steering wheel. Bothers the hell out of me

There are computer controlled opening air vents in the lower front grill.

you are completely wrong. You should give EVs a test drive and an open mind. I cannot go back to ICE cars tbh.
