I really like the new Traxxas Bigfoot 4x4 for what it is and the pre-order was already placed. But now it's time for Traxxas to release a Bigfoot body for the X-Maxx...that would be awesome...with real monster truck wheels & tires...that would be a dream 🤩
That is an awesome idea if they make a monster truck upgrade kit for the X-maxx people would buy it for sure !! thank you so much for taking the time for giving us your feedback. I really appreciate it.
You can do that yourself just get a clear Xmaxx body paint it blue and get a set of decals easy enough then a set of maybe losi lmt tires or any appropriate size chevron tire I’m thinking of doing this with a maxx v2 using jconcepts renegades with the optional white wheels
@ thanks for the response. For my slash 4x4 I run 3s and have always had a slipper clutch on it. Would you recommend upgrading that to the center differential instead?
@ Yea 100%. It’s item 6780. Expensive but well worth it. See link below for more info www.parkflyers.com/products/diff-kit-4wd-complete?_pos=15&_sid=c20e922cb&_ss=r
RC videos tend to be super irritating but yours are really good . not too surprising re sales because Bigfoot is always awesome and always a big seller but the ESC and motor combo combined with the TQ means it's about $250 short of what would be a truly fun bigfoot. BL2S is far too slow in my 2wd Bigfoot. my VXL 2wd stamp is about three times as fast, still stock . I can't imagine how slow it is in four-wheel-drive & TQ radio system is useless. It's obsolete and feels and works like it. A lot of people bash on TQI but I think it's great, I have all kinds of different radio systems, but TQ is toy quality . 430 get to the VXL stampede which isn't fast enough for my liking and about twice as fast as this is. I emphasize I love the new VXL 4wd stampede but it's not even as fast as the old one. Obviously the OBS body style is very desirable but I've had bad luck with the Chevron wheels from Traxxas also. I have the 2 Wheel Dr., Bigfoot BL2S and I can honestly say it's just too slow. I truly believe the XL five brushed models were superior because although they weren't quite as fast top they had a lot more torque. I absolutely love Traxxas but really am disappointed with BL2S . I would pay 500 for a truly built Bigfoot but this isn't it. Gonna make a lot of kids real happy though that's for sure. Adults that aren't RC yet will love it absolutely, but the granite is a far better value. Despite that beautiful body. however if you budget $600, this is a must buy. That will get you 3s ESC motor radio combo and decent Servo and then you'll be in business.
Thank you for your reply. I truly appreciate it. Stay tuned for an upgraded version of the car. I’m gonna put together something of what you’re talking about. However, I must tell you that in stock form the car is a lot of fun because on a monster truck you’re not really looking to go 40 to 50 miles an hour even the real ones are doing under 20 to 25 when they’re performing their stunts, this car is no different and the whole point of it is to have a scale car that drives scale. In any case, I’m still going to do the upgrades to the shocks and even the motor. We will post a video shortly should be really interesting. I only will upgrade and buy products that I am fascinated myself by and this is one of them. This is a car that is evolved overtime and the new heavy duty extreme drivetrain components just make it so worth the money because everybody knows this car can be overpowered and not suffer for it. I give tractor a lot of credit for it. Enhancing their platform over overtime because it adds to the resale value and to the appeal of the product. There are very few products that have such a well built drivetrain that can handle tons of power without falling apart, and that includes Arrma. Anyway, thank you so much for your long feedback for more of these videos in the future
I pre ordered 4 mini maxx for my nephews nov15th paid $279 on the web site they still haven't shipped dec16th pretty disappointing specially since I bought an xrt&xmaxx unlimited 5 more minis maxx for my family and this bf for my oldest
Don’t you think the wheels should be the size of the aftermarket ones ? Thing does look good , had my niece over , couldn’t believe my sister never heard of big foot only grave digger . Think about it both companies were king 👑 by far for very long time . Both innovative but veer away from common practices. I owned their bullet , I couldn’t afford TA and racing . I worked and saved for that bullet and it was bullet proof compared to tamiya cars . Than decades later I bought 2wd slash than 4x4 an thought it was best money I ever spent . Seen a platinum slash other day at lhs exactly how I had mine left the body clear “ because the truck is piece of Art . Tempted to honor what I told myself when it came out . I always spend 400 to have this truck new . This is what 15 years later and that trucks still nice even compared to the competition. Looks “ and it’s cool they have guys like you that will have customers that appreciates you being you . That’s how hobby shops were in 80s and 90s . Well this all positive things I can say , I did bring old slashes off shelf after watching this . I say all I can say because the potential they’ve had all along but than I have to remember I was born at a race track trying to suck a wrench 🔧 . Speaking with a sheriff at work today and he was telling me the great times he had with his son growing up now kids on his way being software engineer. That’s the good I see with traxxas . America company good hobby to learn patience and spend family time .
Great fun fact video Mark. Good job. Especially the similarities between the Bigfoot and Stampede very knowledgeable insight. The tire upgrades is a nice touch as well. That is cool to show removing the clip mounts on the Bigfoot then installing the Stampede body on. Nice touch there my friend. Great video. ⭐️⭐️🏁🏁🏎️👍
The older bigfoot looks better look how far they cut the fenders out 😒 and you cant adjust the height of the body with the none adjustable body mounts smh

@ Ty ! It’s a great idea
Definitely a pretty cool interchangeable system between both trucks. Never seen that before.
I agree!
I got one for Christmas it's staying just the way it came out the box.
lol !! Run it !! 😂
Thanks for the update bud
@@havocisomegathegigaddiappl9560 you’re welcome !!
It’s a beautiful looking TRUCK.
Hate Traxxas as a company but that thing is cool!
@@slomango7927 I respect your opinion and would like to thank you for leaving us feedback we like when the customers are involved. Thank you.
Do you recommend upgrading the slipper to a center diff on all platforms for bashers? Is it less durable than a slipper?
It's a good question. For BL2S the cheaper plastic center diff is ok. For 3s and above more expensive steel/alum slipper unit would be best.

I know they’re at a different price point and that suits a lot of people but, I would rather spend the money on the Losi LMT .
Thank you for the feedback. I love the LMT. What a great car.

If you’re interested, call me. I’ll see if I can get you them on time. Let me know if you’re in the tri-state area. We have plenty of mini Max left.

@@RcPlayer-tt2vw thank you so much for sharing that with everyone !! Appreciate the positive feedback. Good vibes.
@ thank you as well . 👍
Compared to the last Bigfoot body, I don't like this one at all. Oh well, not all models for all people.
Hard to beat the looks of Bigfoot 1. The later Bigfoots had fiberglass bodies with a lot less trim and style sadly.
Shoot I remember when this ford came out. It was modern for times , I think 89 91

Take the same basic platform make a different vehicle charge too much money
