Same here. I came to this guide because I wasn't getting anywhere. Poor choice to use 2 different fonts for the '1'. I read it as a divider, suggesting tier-slash-item.
Same. It wasn't until I noticed the renegade icon by some of the items that I decided to look up a guide on this character because clearly I was missing something.
Very helpful guide! The SMG's really are the workhorses here. On my danger 5 run, I did get lucky with 3 rocket launchers and a nuke-launcher. Started with the SMG, but also got the Ghost Scepter on the side. Another tip is to use the MEDICAL GUN!!! It's base 40% lifesteal with triple projectiles, is an enormous help in self healing. Rank 4 Medical Gun has 60% lifesteal per projectile, combine that with piercing and bouncing and its a really steady flow of healing.
Yeah! IMO any gun build is going to look insane on this class, though I'm a little sad I didn't get to show off obliterator or nuclear launcher this run which are especially hilarious
Thanks for the video, it helped me get though the early waves. Then i got lucky and got a minigun, an obliterator, and a gatling laser. The boss wave was fairly easy.
I like the Ghost Scepter version best, with SMGs a close 2nd. Unlike what is said at 3:00, you can't get any more kills with Renegade Ghost Scepter than with any other class _(the limiting factor is number of mobs, not number of projectiles. If 20 mobs spawn you can only kill 20 mobs no matter how many shots you get)._ On the other hand, Ghost Scepters _do_ work really well because they start out doing 2 damage rather than 1, so you get more DPS than with a lot of the other guns, and with a reasonable fire rate. Ghost Scepters still have DPS issues like they do with every character, and you need to buy offensive stats for quite a while, but the additional HP you get makes that a little more palatable.
I actually did a ghost scepter run as one of my random/random challenges recently! I found it more of a struggle than the smg version but may have played it wrong. You get more hp out of scepters with renegade early (you get 1 from wave 1, which is impossible for other classes, for example), but you're of course right that the edge falls off later
@@Cephalopocalypse Yeah, my parenthetical aside isn't completely accurate - the pierce you get from Renegade can occasionally give an extra odd HP, and the damage penalty can occasionally steal one - but it's fairly close. The thing I really like about Renegade is that you can automatically do wave 9 if you've bought enough damage since you get the pierce for free.
Got to the last stage of danger 5! And then died to the bosses. Did a bit of a mixup to the strategy but I think it would have worked with better skill and firepower.
I am such a dumbass. I read it as diffrent tier 1 WEAPONS. I was running round with 6 diffrent guns wondering how I was supposed to do it
I did the same, took me a second to realise after reading your comment too
Oh Im not alone 💀

Woohoo! Thank you for doing this one! Renegade is the character I go to when I just need to do some crazy fun in a run
It's really just a blast to play

I've tried like 15 runs with this guy and every time I die to hitting multiple floaters and them spitting out 17,000 projectiles on the screen...
"too busy naming the turrets" OY!
Gotta have priorities!
With the Abyssal Terrors DLC, a renegade flutist is a very satisfying run
I had the best run on Renegade with revolver. It had great clear and damage once the attack speed was fixed.

Frank really came in clutch this run!
Ol' Reliable Frank!
Congrats on partnership. I really enjoy all revolver runs on renegade. Just gotta up my attack speed
In the first shop I got a shiruken, and insanity ensued.
If you haven’t yet, an arms dealer run would be sooo sweet, I can’t get a grip on him
Definitely on the way! I think that's one of the hardest ones I haven't covered yet
Note to self: purchase medical turret on my Renegade run
It was hard to win with this character. The strategy of multiple weapons helped me out.
My favorite
It's one of the most fun for sure :D
Can you please cover the Doctor class next? Lovin the videos man, you got me my first danger 4 and 5 wins with the engineer, lol
Thanks, glad they're helping! And definitely, I'll add that to the list
medical gun. thats it
Good stuff
Thanks :D

astonishing
If you don't know if you already have the item that comes from a box, just press escape and look at your inventory.
For sure - it would definitely be better if it was marked though
Its funny that such a simple game can be so fun and hard lol
How about an Artificer run?
You got it! I'll add it to the list
@@Cephalopocalypse Thank you
Let's goooooo!

is the mingun good with renegade
Sure is!
Had 2 minigun IV ... that was fun 🤣
So many bullets!
Boxing glove is funny if you have 3 of em and a full rack of level 4 smgs
That's how I cleared danger 5 with Sick.
I like renegade with shurikens, it gets really silly
how to make targeted shots? like here 4:56
It's in the settings under "hold mouse to aim manually" but I believe is unfortunately only an option on PC, not mobile
thank you
I got 5 nuclear launchers.....with + 2 projectiles lol
👍🏻👌🏻
:D
4:47 that way of speaking is so annoying
