Infinite Damage scaling into Shuriken destroys Danger 5 | Brotato One Armed Guide

Today we play One Armed and I share a more specific way of beating Danger 5 with One Armed, which is by stacking up %Damage with the help of the Ghost Axe, since One Armed doubles damage increases, so instead of 1% you get 2%. Since One Armed only has 1 weapon he has a lot less potential compared to other characters, as in he is a lot more limited - and that sadly also means that luck will play a bigger factor with him, since you can have a hard time getting the right weapons and upgrading yours.
The shown strategy is meant to counter this a bit by giving you insane Damage, so more weapons become viable, but it has a new weakness that you have to find a weapon to replace the Axe. I would recommend locking a weapon you want around wave 7/8, so you can buy it immediately after wave 9. I chose Shurikens here because I had a lot of Melee Damage, but without that I could have went for the SMG, Slingshot or pretty much anything that I scale up quickly with the double damage scaling and a starting 200% Damage boost.

Btw, dunno if you know this but they recently added Streamer mode music to the beta that won't get copyrighted/DMCA'd and it's honestly really good. You can turn off the original sound track in the options menu
Yea I saw that, but when I got the copyright claims I stopped using original game music and switched over to manual music selection only. I'm not happy with it and it's really annoying to balance it every time on the game sounds, but it's not worth a wave of copyright claims or even strikes.
In theory, the original composers could have went back and claimed/striked all 80 videos of Brotato and I would have had no way to go against that.
Fun fact, I know it’s a little off topic but the renegade(the one with plus 2 bullets) when useing a explosive weapon, the explosive damage scales differently, it’s not effected by the damage down. That or the explosive damage upgrades are so much that it doesent matter
it's because % explosion damage stacks additively with % damage, but the regenade only reduces % damage. so dynamite on an all-explosives renegade is the equivalent of a 75% damage item, plus you have the fact that you're effectively tripling the damage of every shredder, rocket launcher, and nuclear launcher from the bonus projectiles _before_ factoring in that explosives can explode on every enemy hit. so the extra pierce is a nice bonus on the shredder and _pretty damn good_ on the other two
So I'm hearing Renegade + Nuclear Launchers?

I think the plasma sledgehammer is way higher dps because it's aoe twice, once on the swing and again on any explosions; even in the worst case, it can hit way more than 5 enemies at a time. But it's definitely riskier.
It can also scale on explosion damage, which is doubled (I think)
Fun fact the healing is mostly the tentacle as it has no cap and life steal is capped at 10 per second. Tentacle with good crit is the best healing imo for endless
I like ghost flint on him more because damage% modifications are doubled already but not attack speed, which you receive from the flint
I prefer Ghost Flint too, I just think it's way less reliable for someone who hasn't beaten the game with him yet, which usually makes me assume the person is rather new. As in because the Ghost Flints do the pokey pokey attack instead of the larger AOE swipe
@@DexTag true. This makes sense. Thrusting attack usually hits less enemies than the swiping one.
I would personally rather take ghost axe. Better animation and the percent damage scales so nicely with non-weapon based damage sources, which is key imo if you go endless.
I know its not optimal but i had an easier time with one handed using shurikens and piercing.
Early Piercing helps Shurikens quite a lot, the only issue is if you dont get enough damage you fall off really hard, just because the amount of Shurikens is missing. But if Luck serves well, it works the same way :)

Just decided to do a run while watching this, red nuclear launcher on wave 9. Bounces on wave 11 with a hunting trophy and 60% crit. I think this was a great run
HOW RED NUKE ON WAVE 9!?!?!? My record is 'only' purple rocket launcher on wave 3 or 4 in the shop and purple nuke shop wave 8!!!
@@itsamemario_yahoo got a purple nuke on wave 7, then another on wave 9. Never had a run of luck like that, and ironically I had very low luck stat on the run

I’m curious if the Plasma Sledge might have actually been better when it showed up, since Dex’s hilarious math was obviously way off. The real problem is it’s hard to judge how many enemies would get caught in the sweeps and explosions on average. I think it would have handled the swarm that eventually killed him better though.
Recently I have been testing different starts. I can say that the thief's dagger is a good start. Believe it or not with only one of them it really helps your early/mid game economy. I always sell it wave 10 and usually still have 100-200 %damage.

For me its the vampire survivor content that helped me to fall asleep. I always watch brotato till the end somehow
While watching your Video and playing One Armed with slingshot, I got a Nuke Launcher at wave 6 XD
i usually switch to any blade and then buy elemental tier 3 one, its like the best millie weapon out there
for the record luck based damage items (cyberball, baby elephant) get the bonus damage %. Missed a trick not picking these up after getting the coin. Also helps a lot with some of those large mobs of enemies.
I was so sad when he skipped Cyberball.
I used Lightning Shiv and got to wave 40 on one-armed, never changed weapon, just a red shiv. It creates more bounces per enemy hit and elemental build lets you get turrets to spread burning too. All the way up to wave 40 I never got even close to overwhelmed by normal enemies, just didn't dodge the bosses well enough. Never got elemental->engineering or AtkSpeed->StructureSpeed items either unfortunately, bosses would probably have melted if I did.

Why didn't you take the cyberball? You hab a lot of luck at that moment and it would have given you a way to kill more enemys per attack.
Since you are taking requests now, could you please play the mutant next? I struggle the most with that character
Just go for fighting sticks, its work insane with this character
You should consider playing peglin. Would fitt pretty well to your chanel.
You can also do this character with rip and tear.
Couldn't you use a flint to boost attack speed then switch when you have it higher?
I did One-Armed with shredder and was really easy(No Ghost Axe)

i got a run today to 39 . but god i couldnt heal enogh . suriken loud 150% enemys kind a fun
Interestingly enough, I beat One Armed on Danger 5 using the SMG.
Obviously it took a few runs, but then I got lucky getting more Ranged Damage and % Damage than normal, but I beat it.
Oh, I didn't know that One Armed also doubles Melee / Ranged / Elemental Damage (I mean yeah both of these three are Damage but), I only thought that he increases % Damage only.
By the way, how would Renegade play using the Shuriken? Would it shoot more than 1? Probably, but I'm only asking because I never tested.

You got swarmed at wave 15 ( 16:58 ) and i can't confirm but lately when I've been doing horde waves at 15 there seems to be a whole lot more enemies than it used to. Can't really confirm it tho. At least that's more money
That definitely looked *WAY* more dense than normal horde waves lol. It looked like it was spawning two waves back to back every time
Dex.. you only lose damage when you get hit for that first turn that you pick the item. Turns after that don't make you lose damage when you get hit
You mean the Triangle? You lose damage every time you get hit, lasting for that turn. Meaning if you get it on Wave 10 and take damage, on Wave 11 it's reset to 0. But if you get hit on Wave 16, you still lose the damage, it just gets reset after the wave.
@@DexTag from testing this is didn't work that was it just counted for that singular round it didn't seem to reduce my damage on later waves

@@danielthompson7686 I think my other response didnt post cause German internet, but I just tested it via modding (giving it myself wave 1), I lost the stats on wave 1 and also on wave 2. I assume its made easier on all portable versions, the same way mobile has changes (like Bloody Hand not breaking Tardigrade)
Greek Fire is so much worse than Giant's Belt I don't know why they put it in the same tier of item

Did you just play this run without getting any Harvesting on purpose or what? I just noticed you're in wave 10 and you still have zero harvesting
You went into the Wave 15 horde with 2 Armor, 9% Dodge, and negative Speed. You got a bit lucky you didn't die there.
Pure skill, he only dodged twice on wave 15 so I’d attribute that to good movement and appropriate health for the wave
I think my reaction showed that I didn't expect this much trouble on the horde wave, it was the first time I faced one with Shuriken on One Armed and expected it to be a money farm as usual. More Armor/Dodge wouldn't have really helped since that means I sacrifice something else, like damage or attack speed, which then keeps more enemies alive (or they build up faster since we hit the cap). Either more Attack Speed or simply resetting to not have a Horde Wave in there would've dealt with that
You really should have got the cyber balls. You had high luck and desperately needed the chain kills.

Okay, so. How does alien tongue have +1 knockback? Is it from a mod he's using, an unlock, or something else?
He's in the brotato beta, essentially a preview of the dlc. It adds stuff like clockwork wasp, Fried rice, frozen heart etc along with changes to items like alien tongue

Can someone explain why Cyberball or the Elephant were bad in this build? He skipped them.
I think it's force of habit from optimizing for endless runs. In endless runs, you max crit and try to get 3x hunting trophies to maximize money. The cyberball and elephant don't crit, so they taking them loses you money.
Side note, he also took a metal detector prior to wave 20, I think that was also force of habit because metal detector is another item you want for endless to maximize money, but if you just want to beat danger 5, it's a bad item for runs that aren't using engineering.

Did they change how swinging weapons swing in the beta? Im trying to do this on mobile and the axe swings _SO_ wide i miss the enemies in front of me half the time. I just struggle to get anywhere past wave 6. The charging guys fuck me up so bad.. Either that or im just dogshit.
