Have you tried the new Mutant? he got reworked on beta to instead of having +200% xp to -66% xp required to level up, which is a huge difference (3x modifier practically instead of a flat +200)

I can't stand skipping gentle alien on first shop and elemental damage after purchasing strange book 😭 and all of those incendiary turrets instead of combining them into explosive/laser ones and purchasing lvl 1 wrenches
Tomato is almost always great, it regens around 50hp in 60 sec, so if you have less than 100 hp its a win. It is also almost mandatory for pushing very high levels to pull in food in the beginning to explode on bosses. So when it is bad - is almost only exactly lvl 20, when you face the two boss with half hp and probably no immunuty yet. But, if you cannot kill them easily you should not reach far anyway (like this endless run).

The reason you had trouble with bosses seems to be because you went for fire turrets way more than you should have. You started being able to kill them once you pivoted out of that.
I think you would’ve killed more elites without so many level 2 turrets. Their damage doesn’t stack so it was really limiting your DPS on the elites during those waves.
So far my progress on this is getting the bag then stuck till wave 20 with minus 1 to 3 speed ill always pick bag but damn does minus speed scale bad during elites
Thing with too many flamethrower turrets is that the burning effect doesn't stack. In this case it would have been better to just combine a few more turrets to higher ones and fill up with tier 1 turrets, while keeping a few flamethrowers
Would be interesting if there were a repair tool that could temporarily buff your turrets when you walk over them. It could have mods that make the area you have to walk on larger, buff duration, etc but its random. Oh and the buffs could be attk speed! Or damage! Or add bonus electric damage..... 😅
Doesn’t the sausage simply add its flame damage to the flame turrets in the beta? I could have sworn they made them synergize Edit 1: I am screaming internally at all the flame turrets instead of keeping the level 1 turrets considering flame turret burns don’t stack… Edit 2: checked notes and scared sausage adds damage to itself, but mentions nothing with turret.
Maybe before the stat rewrite which was near the beginning of early access, but I don't recall it doing so. Flamethrower turrets have their own effect so they don't spread scared sausage fire.

5:06, you can prevent the big guy from spawning by standing on the "red X". Well you can prevent any enemy from spawning by doing that, but this is probably the only useful instance
Obviously it's going to be bad against bosses if you focus so much on the burning turrets. The burning doesn't stack so once you hit the boss with one of them, the rest of the blue ones don't exist until it stops burning... Well I mean, they do a good job with reducing the masses but still. It's weird seeing you go for that since usually you focus on a greedy approach over the easy one :DD
Maybe it's my fragile ego, or something along those lines... but the thought comes to mind that I've never seen Dex review the options page with the sliders that can change the enemy health, damage, etc. I'd like to assume that Dex has these set to default, but I've struggled so many times with Baby (and trying to do this run) and I get rocked so quickly. Getting hit for 14 by a boss hit on wave 11 seems REALLY low (and with no armor stat) so... is he playing with reduced difficulty even on Danger 5? If so, it makes for better videos, but for comparison the doubt has crept in.

You should hope for cursed trees and a pocket factory on top of as many trees as u can get on top of everything else u talk about. This will result in self exponential self replication which will offset the lack of engineering skill from level ups.
Crit on Turrets with Giants Belt can take you to 100 without weapons and enough attack speed and Tardigrades. More Turrets just makes the game uncontrollable to a point it may even crash the game. Cursed Trees are not really a game plan, especially if you have 24 of them available to you just by your loadout. And with the way trees spawn in the game (they have a minimum and maximum amount per turn, but take long to spawn and naturally increase over time) it's not really needed to have that as the main goal. As a "I saw it and pick it up while I come across it" yea, for sure
@DexTag why are u getting all epeen defensive over this? I have done that before. Its not difficult to do. I literally run this stuff on the laptops i use for my supersonic wave propagation research. This is not a computationally intensive game even at that scale. Get a better rig.
I'm sorry but Baby is horseshit tier level character. His lack of lvl upgrading is a serious hinder, making him useless for most of weapons. I can have 40 weapons, so what if you can't upgrade half of them, and even then you are either a glass cannon cause you can't get enough armor or a low hp glass cannon.
