@Eric Reid ; I was late at the party. Only played electric guitars for almost 35 years when I finally bought my first acoustic. It started with a Gibson J-45 Standard. Last year I bought a Martin D-28 and a Martin 00-15m. And now I can't sleep because I immediately fell in love with the 0-18 when I played one in october 2021 and today I found out that there's a good chance that I can get my hands on a 2nd hand 0-18 in a trade with my G-45 Studio (I never play that thing) and my beautiful Gibson Les Paul Standard Lite DC. I'm not sure if it will happen, but I have a good feeling about this. I never thought I'd own a 0-18, but I think it will happen!!! Did you purchase yours already? 😃
Totally agree on the mahogany points, Quinton! I've grown to love its organic, woody sound over rosewood. I used to always want that dark rosewood Martin ever since I was a kid, but once I played a 2019 D-18, I was blown away. It's still my favorite guitar Martin makes and thankfully I own it.
Love this guitar. I use my 0-18 for classical, bluegrass, fingerstyle, picking and strumming. The timbre colours and flavors and sustain rings out beautifully. More I play this Martin 0-18 the better the sound gets.
Quinton And Matt from Eddie's guitars out of St. Louis, MO are my two favorite demo guitar players. They play in such a way that each instrument gets shown it's strengths and true potential to the buyer or listener. They also explain what the guitar sounds like.
I watch these and Alamo Music demo's and just found Eddie's Guitars today (he's an incredible player too!) but since reading your comment, ill have to check him out more....!
This is a very fun to play great sounding guitar as they show. I played this there and a couple other "0" size. I liked the 0-28 better. Thanks Quinton and Paul.
The back of that 0-18 on your website looks very nice. I guess for now I'll stay with my Martin 0000-18S (12 fret, slothead). I really like Quinton's Quick Tips, great video!
The ABBA-song Quinton was referring to in the beginning is called Fernando indeed. Nice guitar. I’d love a 0-18 12fret with a solid headstock and the shorter scale... I dig your videos!
Great video! Great guitar! Thank you guys! Quinton, what is your opinion about this guitar if you compare it with your CEO-7? Probably the proper comparison should be done between CEO-7 and 00-18, because they are of the same size. But anyway, just interesting to know your opinion based on your almost one year experience with ceo-7. Thanks!
I got interested in the smaller sized Martins last year, when I played an old 0-18 in a recording studio. That thing got me obsessed. I had just bought a Martin D-28. Now..., I'm not a wealthy man by any stretch of the imagination, but as I was looking for my options I fell in love with the 00-15m. Small, relatively affordable and (imo) a very nice sound. Given the fact that the 00-15m is a bit larger than the 0-18 and taken in consideration the fact that the 00-15m has a larger scale lenght, why do you find it more comfortable to play? Is it merely the nut width? I'm excited, because my 00-15 will arrive on friday, the day after tomorrow. 😎
This with an Adirondack spruce top and siris body and neck with tons of very plain creamy inlays around the body, neck, headstock, and rosette, with light wood and dark wood purfling all around. Throw in the best hidden pickup system and bam. Perfect guitar.
I've also gone from rosewood to mahogany in a big way. And Martin Guitars (it only took me 40 years to find ones I liked). Now I have a collection of them. I fear the mahogany is an age related thing... Add the love of Crocs or Sketchers and then the only reason for dropping the roof of a convertible Mini is to put my walker on the back seat!!! I'm old! 😂🤣😉
@@Harp_and_Guitar_Moving_Forward I will have to agree. I finally played a Guild M-40 and I'm really starting to think most guitar reviews on RUclips are paid reviews.
Estoy enamorado de esta parlor … es preciosa pero es muy cara para mi bolsillo. Ojalá pudiera comprar a plazos … tiene un tamaño perfecto para mis manos smalls
I love the setting you guys have. But you guys talk over each other way too much and its becoming unbearable to listen too. One at a time guys. PLEASE!
I own one of these and a J45, HD28, and a 000-15M. I play the 0-18 more than all of them combined. So small and comfortable but so much good sound.

Just love Quinton's playing. Gives me a lot of good ideas.

incredible how big such a smal guitar can sound.....when Quinton plays it ;-)
Really like the sound of Martin guitars.

I bought one, the best guitar I've ever played
My previous three Martins were EIR, my CEO-7 is mahogany and I'm sold on it. It's fabulous.

Quality overall. Good to hear and nice to watch.
Fernando, classic song! nice playing Q.
I actually enjoy the back and forth. It is genuine, not rehearsed, and real.
What song did he play ?

Same here. I was shopping for 12-frets on Sweetwater and was disappointed how few small body Martin 12-frets there are.
There is a version of the 018 12 frets, but slotted headstock
Makes me think of my antique O-16, these O's have wonderful balance

Any follow up on your CEO-7 would be awesome.
Had a ceo-7 cool guitar but bad for strumming good for note articulation
Quentin, you make that little box sing so good.
I have a 00-28...not sure I can justify this one, but I'd sure like to have it.
Seems perfect as a combination
this 0 sound really melting me down❤
I thought about purchasing the 0-18. Went for the 00-15 instead. For me the 1 11/16 neck on the 00-15 was more comfortable. But the 0-18 is very nice.

The nut width at 1 11/16 is easier for me
@@austingal9869 : Thanks for answering! 😊👍
Wanted you to hold it up next to the new Taylor gt. Just for fun.
What a nice sounding guitar.
how much bigger or smaller is it from the dreadnought jr. or the 000jr?
Huge sound from a small guitar
Does Quinton work for music Villa and if not does he have a job and what is it? Does he play professionally? Website?
This video answers those questions (for the most part): ruclips.net/video/pMLhBEDfOcE/видео.html
As far as I know, Quinton is not a Music Villa employee, he just helps his friend and bandmate Paul review the guitars he sells at his music store.
@@rickcar94 Whats the name of the band and do they play Just around the Bozeman area? Itd likeke to see them

my question is wha does Paul do?? is he a salesman or just a video guy?

I believe Steve Howe used one for "Clap"
How does Guild M-40 compare to the 0-18?
It doesn't

Is this Martin susceptble to humidity like 000 d15?
All acoustic guitars MUST be properly humidified. No matter the model or brand.

With such a huge lower bout its not a true parlor size. And its a shame Martin refuses to make a true parlor guitar.
