It doesn't matter if this is the Original. Fantasia performed the Grammys 2024. Don't try to knock Fantasia's performance because she did an AMAZING performance. Just because Beyonce performed it back in the time when Tina was alive, doesn't mean she has to perform any future performance on behalf of Tina. There are many talented artists who fit the bill. Beyonce is the only one!

As a millenial born in '96, my era is Beyonce. I've always been a beyhive since 2007 and all the artists she honored, I also respected. In fact I knew all these legends works through her- from Streisand to Tina. I also lowkey learn to appreciate classic hits like Proud Mary and has over time learned to emulate these powerful legends. Hearing the news of Tina's passing today is already devastating to me. I can't imagine what Beyonce is feeling especially that she's literally molded in Tina's shadow and it's reminding me again of her song Hero. "Who's there to save the hero when she's crying out for help?" 😢

If Beyonce performed this song multiple times a year, I bet she would dance just as rough or rougher than Angela Bassett. You can't forget Beyonce is ACTUALLY singing and dancing at the same time. With her skills, she can easily sing this song and dance rougher.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Angela Bassett is a powerhouse of talent and she portrayed Ms. Tina phenomenally well....she should've gotten an Oscar.
