I bet that it's a dream come true just being there and you can probably feel his spirit during the whole tour. Hopefully, ill take my Uncle who turned me onto him to visit there in the near future. We both STILL miss him like no tomorrow. I say that he's the GREATEST and my Uncle said that every year that goes by, he misses him more & more. There's absolutely nothing to look forward to in the industry since his passing over 7 YEARS AGO.

My dream is to visit Prince's house museum, as I saw him in person when I worked as a translator and producer at Rock in Rio, in 92, in my country Brazil! 💜💜

@@PrinceInvestigationFile5 Even with all the restriction of his production, I said how much I was a fan and loved him. You have no idea how crazy his arrival at the venue was. They prohibited anyone in the corridor during the passage to the dressing room, the reason, I don't know if I should say.
As a translator it was easier to access him, Kurt Cobain, Guns N' Roses, George Michael. George Michael was a sweet human being. I have many stories from that rock in Rio.

@cheboy That's what they call it online. Plus it is a tour that Paisley Park sells tickets to. What other name do you know of, or what would you call it?

Oh no! They scanned a small Paisley Park paisley logotype and then holty-toidy created vector outlines and left it all jaggedy from the upscaling a low res version! Who the hell did that!?! They also tried re somewhat replicate the Lovesexy tourbook, era, design with the italized script. If I remember correctly it's a 'wedding' font from way back in the 90s. Sorry I can't help it! But overall it's good. Nothing really NEW about the imagery, surely there are more alternative Purple Rain production photos. Mixing eras out of chronological order is visually jarring, but alas that's what happens in social media. BUT THEN, they bust out with an astonishing Act I-II tour Prince at the drums! Friggn fantastic!
Prince spoke, too move this comment in a positive area, that one creates, I'm paraphrasing, what one creates reflects the environment ones in. I think Prince wanted to leave a negativity at Sunset Sound and create something better more positive. Lovesexy was that 'other side' to the somwhat morose C-CB-SOTT-BA... thus the contrast. He could also do more and really customise it to his taste, expand, rise and progress. Simply needed more room. Black Album really should be between SOTT and Lovesexy. Thank you for sharing the book!

True dat, looks like they used a graphic designer that wasn't familiar with Prince to put together materials that Paisley Park management located around the building. And then they sent it over to the printers in a patchwork type of fashion that was not in chronological order. And printed on high quality paper, in some shotgun manner. The out of sequence images is visually incoherent since his hairstyles and eras vary greatly. There are many amazing photos of Prince, which they probably did not want to contact the photographers, perhaps out of budget and time constraints. Thank you for your comment, and for watching!

@@PrinceInvestigationFile5 Yep, they could really do Prince an honor even if it's just a studio booklet, and give him a real visual treatment that fans and visitors could go oh man, look at this book!
And agreed, photographers, could be that they had to pay Jeff Katz, but not a studio or long lost press obscure uknown press photographer. Prince and then the estate now, probably own many of the photos say from Diamonds Pearls promot photos, etc.pre-paid at the time. Who knows.
You may remember there was a time, post WB, I think in the 00s where Prince was claiming 'likeness copyright' and going after anyone sharing any photos! I got kicked out of the Musicology press conference for snapping ONE innocent photo! Dragged away like Christopher and Tricky 😂, thrown out of El Rey!

@@Modernaire At Prince events, some photographers I never heard of would set up a table at First Avenue with lots of awesome photos from his concerts there. They were selling prints, etc. One of my favorite photo books is Before The Rain. That was when he was a newbie, blazing like comet. He came, conquered, and left, just like that.
The press conference must have been a mad house, that was a cool tour, Prince finally settled into his superstar status, and starting doing his old school hits. He was emotional that tour, and he was in fine form.

@@PrinceInvestigationFile5 So you were a regular at First Avenue back in the day? How cool if so! Tell me, can you recollect the photos you saw and did any appear later in a publication, ie magazine, newspaper or book, then later internet? Fan forums, etc?
I would by my concert photos at a Hollywood Blvd tourist celebrity photo store named 'Starworld'. The owner would have all manner of actors, celebrities and of course, concert photos. I bought many, still have them, some rare photos in there. I still want to create a purple photo album, like back in the day, have it already but you know... LIFE.

@modernaire3606 There were lots of events around Minneapolis after Prince passed. Not sure how often the photographers would show up there with their photos. I might have business cards from them somewhere. I also went to the First Avenue tour. That was really interesting, it was a bus depot back in the day, and the black and white tile floor is original from back then. The Prince parking sign, someone stole it from Paisley Park, and hung it at First Avenue parking lot. And Prince saw his missing sign when he was there. 😆
