  • After we took some damage to our suspension during our Kentucky Overlanding trip we decided it was time for some upgrades to Bella.
    We headed over to the experts at Xtreme Machines in Hickory NC to have some new legs put under Bella.
    We chose the AEV 3.5" DualSport Lift Kit for Jeep JK, along with the Hellwig rear sway bar to eliminate body roll, and the AFE machforce Y pipe to increase the clearance between the driveshaft and the exhaust.
    Give it a watch and let us know what you think about the setup because we are totally in love with it!

      Does the 2.5 drive as well as the 3.5? Which do you like better? Going to run 35’s.

    Nice installation, quick question. What do think about Rustys steering system.

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  3 года назад

      I have never heard anything bad about Rustys products, but I know I’m going to be running the old man emu steering stabilizer when I put the AEV 2.5 inch lift on our other jeep Lagatha.

    Nice lift. I have the aev 2.5 gotta say it’s the best lift for a daily driver as well. Crazy thing is my lift measures out to 3.25. What does the aev 3.5 measure? I thought I was being safe n not have to do a front driveshaft but I had to. Worst part. Blew my zepa first trail run.

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  3 года назад

      Well we know the 3 1/2 lifted her more than 3 1/2 for sure but we forgot to measure before and after. We actually blew our rzeppa on the first trail run as well!

    Great video! Did you have front sway bars disconnected during your trail run. Lots of tire lift.

      No we rarely disconnect on easier trails plus the tire lift looks cool on video lol

    what tire size are you running on Bella?

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  3 года назад +1

      Right now she is running 35’s but now with the extra fender space she will be going to 37‘s.

    If you 100% stayed on pavement, do you think you would still have had drive shaft problems? 9:16

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, if you don’t want to have driveshaft issues stick with the 2 1/2 half inch version instead of the 3 1/2 inch.

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  8 месяцев назад

      We have the 2 1/2 half inch version on the orange Jeep and it still has the factory driveshaft and I’ve put 67,000 miles on it since having the lift installed.
