all that numbers matching parts that are just rust and shrapnel.

picked up 2 pair of Shady Rays. Thanks for the deal!!!
Kevin that's a whole Lotta lipstick on a pig... 😅😂😅 are we still aloud to say throw some tyranny fluid down it's throat, maybe those leaky valves will clean up?¿?
It has it off but when I go to checkout it says that JUNKYARD isn't a valid code
A Thunderhead 289 appearance, pole barn garage, and a giant crowbar this video can't get any better. Love the content 🔥🥓🍻😂
I love it when my favorite car RUclipsrs get together!
Great video. That original Satellite restoration is one of my most favorite series. This one sure is nostalgic!
What about THE VAN
That’s AWESOME to see an old friend back and I’m excited to see what happens in the future.
Kevin has the legendary triple sponsor segment for this video and honestly i dont mind because they are well done and allow us to have this amazing free content
That 318 went from mid to SPICY. Love to see Luke back. Y'all's chemistry is great.
9:15 I admit I had already an emotional day, but I got teary eyed for a second, when Luke came by. so glad to see you 2 back together. love it. do stuff together! looking forward.
I feel you man. It was definitely touching seeing how happy Kevin was lol. Just makes you admire the little things that much more when you don't get it often.
where did Luke go?
I agree. I have laughed my ass off on those collaboration videos
Me too,
@@uncrustable9923He lived far enough away that doing any sort of collab work was impractical.
The dynamic duo living closer together. One can only imagine the adventures and shenanigans that will be taking place.
You're genuinely an inspiration to me. I'm only 22 and have a very supportive family, they've helped me have my own little workshop where I work on cars of myself and friends,
I've learned so many things about old vehicles, what to be weary of and how to work on them from you.
Finding your channel was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You've inspired me to restore and love old cars. Thank you Kevin!
And we are lucky to have young ppl like yourself who want to care for classic cars of all kinds, fixing, replacing painting & customizing - it reminds we old guys of how great things were in the 1970s when we were young 🙂
I love you and Luke working together. So much knowledge and experience doing this oind of stuff. The technical know how is a large part of why i love your channel, as well as his. And Mook.. she is just a bundle of fun, and i love her quips and digs, it's also satisfying to see a woman getting down and dirty and making it work. Much love to you, thunderhead, dylan mccool, golden rust, the Junkyard Mook and Pole barn garage. He kills me, and gets it done on a budget that even I could afford. Cheers to you and yours in allmfuture endeavors.
You can't call Dalton @polebarngarage AARP anymore. With his new haircut and shave he looks younger than Kevin now.
Lol I was gonna ask if he had lost weight 😂😂
Thanks for pointing that out, i couldn't pinpoint.😂
The look on Dalton's face when he starts pumping up the football....😂 2:55
Football dent Removal Was just genius Dalton and Kevin @Junkyard Digs @Pole Barn Garage
I came to the channel when Luke was more around all the time. I am completely stoked he will be back!
THIS, my friends, is one of only channels, where I'm happy to see sponsorships. It is incredibly cool and nice to see and realise that such a content and man getting stuff and money for things he loves so much. As well as me and everyone else on this channel.
Kevin, you're a sweetheart. Keep doing and enjoying stuff you like
Now that you and Luke are near each other again. I think it's time for another weekend revival camping trip.
Wow, that motor teardown was so cool to watch! I've been waiting to see something like that on this channel for quite a while, and now that you have a shop instead of a gravel driveway it seems like a much easier place to do it. Thanks for sharing that process with us!
Excellent video taking the time to give tips and explaining etc..
Awesome to see Luke … and PBG!
Only one missing was McCool😆
Sounds Badass!
God Bless
😎
I had a very good friend a couple years ago that bought a 71 satellite Sebring Plus when he was fifteen, and he built that car. Built 440, fully built suspension, it was beautiful. He said, one summer, he went through four sets of tires on the rear. Too much fun. He sold it. But I got to ride in it multiple times. Those are beautiful cars
Pretty cool to see Luke back, your previous colab's made the best viewing. Keen to see some more :)
Hey Kevin…..as a rule of thumb while you have that engine out of the chassis now would be an excellent time to replace ALL of the freeze plugs. Even back when those Mopars were just a few years old they would eat up freeze plugs!
May or may not have cover those in expoxy and said send it 👀
Hey, close counts
@@JunkyardDigs New plugs cost barely more than the epoxy and it would have been an excellent chance to clean out the inside of the water jacket. Would not be surprised if that block came from the factory with casting sand still in it, plus whatever mouse nest and rust was added later.
Stroker... stroker... STROKER!!! Good to see Uncle Luke again!
Am glad to see Kevin and Luke together again please do some work together
Camshaft install tip I was taught: Get a long piece of all-thread the same pitch as the cam sprocket bolt and use it like an extension to put the cam in, then just unscrew it.
Thats a good one! Another trick is to out the cam sproket on and use it like a handle, unlike I did 😂
Dude! These kinds of collabs are great! I'm a big fan of all three channels.
New episode! And a great new project. This one actually looks so restorable. I wonder if he tried that weird glue stick method, although with that kind of rigidity I doubt it would work that well. Leave those footballs inside and you get sort of an airbag. And even if that football popped, you get a cool hat or you can make shoes out of them ha ha.
Love seeing the progress you’ve made on the Satellite! Can’t wait to see the end results!
Thank you!!
great job on fixing up the Satellite!!! I always loved the "fuselage" styling of the 1971 models from Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge. Richard Petty used that body style I believe for two racing seasons. My Dad's Duster was the same color. I miss my Dad, spend as much time as you can with your Father.
Love a good video with pole barn garage!
I am so happy he is back. Can't wait for the collaborations
Just finished watching PBG!!! Now it's time for JYD!!!😁
Oh and I'm subscribed to both of you!!😜👍
Kevin, you are the go-to-guru when it comes to engine bay gymnastics, I absolutely love your super chill, calm and logical explanations of what we the audience is watching, again, I would watch your videos even if all you were doing was rebuilding brakes over and again.
I have to ask though, with all of the crap that was coming out of the radiator, why not just go and pull it out and have it rodded and cleaned , especially with the engine already out? It could have only helped your cause, and, well it doesn't cost THAT much.
Great video as always, and I can't wait for the next one!
You have more self-control than I do. If I had gone so far as to have pulled that engine I couldn't have put it back without doing the rings ... bearings and gone through the valves. My OCDC would be killing me.
Oven cleaner works great! Used to use it on tractors before getting them ready to paint and it's cheaper!
That was my granpas goto when henwas buying busted used cars and restoring them to safe drivable condition and selling them.
also makes for a good refreshment on the job
YAY Thunderhead! Dalton works great with you too! loving all the crew. Get Dylan McCool back in the picture too!
Awesome seeing Our buddy Luke hanging out for a bit! I totally look forward to seeing you guys collab again! Dalton and JD are really fun to watch as well!
Genius. Two of ya working together and dropping a video on the same day. Not that you guys can do this all time, but great chemistry.
I saw the video when you pick this car up and boy it came a long way. You and Dalton make a great comedy team. I buy quite a few parts from summit racing including a double timing set for a 360 I put in a 97 Dodge last Summer. Still running great. Keep up the great work Kevin 👍✌️🇺🇲
as much as I love seeing your father on the channel and him telling stories or giving advice to you or Mook on how to do something related to bodywork ... Dalton's way of doing things puts a smile on my face, just as much lol ... never heard of his channel until he was on JYD a few videos back, but now i am a regular viewer of his content
I'm a huge fan, Luke being closer to you guys is awesome, New sponsors is also excellent.
Dalton & Kevin is such a good match, really enjoying watching this!
Almost coordinated between the Monte Carlo over on PBG and this one. The JunkyardDigs Cinematic Universe is now claiming PBG in it lol
This world needs a lot more of Kevin and Dalton in their lives. You two remind me of me and a few of my buddies in our 20's throwing wrenches at cars. Ohhh the good ole days.
This video was such a nice treat. I absolutely adore PBG. He grew on me fast after the truck revival. And then seeing good ole Luke! I've been watching yall for years, and this was a really cool and unexpected reunion. I'm super excited to see him more. Keep up the good work you guys.
Kevin: points out that the freeze plug is leaking.
Also Kevin: doesn't replace the freeze plugs.
I give this engine about 4 months.
@@rickallen6378 I'm pretty sure you can see that same freeze plug dripping at 46:30
@@1234567890CAB Yes I saw it, should have been dealt with.
I fixed em off camera b4 it went back in
@@1234567890CAB Pretty sure you're seeing water that was sprayed through the rad from the hose to cool it down, the fan is pulling it through and splashing it around.
Thanks for that last rev up with the camera down on the ground - music to my ears!
I live about 15 minutes from the summit in Mcdonough GA and it is super nice and really convenient.
Yay the gang is getting back together. You and Luke have great chemistry.
The clear paint is a good trick to help prevent all of the spotting you inevitably get with aluminum. I went ahead and painted mine the block color. Mimics a cast intake pretty well but I like the look of orange over the aluminum color. Like you said the trick is to just never have gas dripping down on the paint.
Nice to see Luke and Dalton work with you
This is like getting double the junkyard digs and Pole Barn garage content I love it
I'm glad to see Luke more!
Has a cool name imo
Also my first name
HEY! Hell yes! Been looking forward to this!!
I use pink rubber dodge or kick balls. Works really great on plastic bumpers.
VERY cool to get the Summit sponsorship!
Hell yea you guys rock! Love the content, down to earth, oh shit, polebarn? Just went up a notch..
Looks Mint!
It is Cool to see you all Together!
your dads taught you guys well .... these old school tricks are priceless
As insnalely cool and exciting it is and would be for the original owner to get this car back, I weirdly feel like it would be so cool if he told Kevin to keep it and Kevin ended up dailying this thing. Also btw with winter tires these cars handle surprisingly well in winter. 😂😅 don't ask how I know.
Love seeing Dalton ON the channel @Junkyard Digs @Pole Barn Garage
Thunderhead and Pole Barn visiting 😊 This is good stuff. More of this please
great ad tie-in for the Shady Rays - smooth and actually watchable. good job man
JYD and PBG together again yay.
Ah D-germ is there any crusty automotive situation you can't defunk?
Mook's response to the revelation of the ownership of a giant honking crowbar indicates you should be concerned about unsupervised crowbar mischief Kevin 😂
Luke is a genius glad to see him around again and I thought it was funny Dalton standing over there like introducing your new girlfriend to your ex wife 😂
"Eat your heart out Chip Foose". I'm gonna be saying that the rest of my life.
This video made my day. So great to see uncle Luke back in the hood. The paint buffed as good as it could get. And that 318 sounds so friggin good. Great work, much appreciated.
LUKE!!! Man.. awesome to see him around again, my ol' trailer park shirt is almost worn out! Hope to see him more often this summer, YT needs more good guys around'
Can't belive it took me so ling to find this channel! Love it keep up the awesome work👍 love from the U.K 🇬🇧
Would love to see you do a older W116 or W123 Mercedes Diesel.
I second this idea.
@AndrewPerks we need to start commenting on his new videos Kevin is bound to see our comments.
That, or watch him slowly go insane over a Citroën ID19.
@@kpetterssany older Import I would be cool with. He did the Triumph
Your the best mechanic youtuber to ever exist! I bought a hoodie from you and it is hecking comfortable!!!
I'm so happy to see Luke again with you man, missed him so much even though he every now and then brings in his own content. Looking forward to see more colabs!
Would this be the mysterious red/orange the General Lee is painted? Keep up the good work! Also, just for shits and giggles, I put a Ford V-10 on my HF engine stand with the hardware it come with, it held up, although I kept a chain hooked to the front with minimal slack and it hooked to the engine hoist. I will be changing the hardware now after your suggestion.
General Lee's were all painted a AMC color
Hey kevin! i had a question? how come you don’t participate in any of the cross country car events or cleetus and cars?
Hasn't been invited
Hey Kevin, I would like you to try a tip my father taught me from restoring antique tractors. Use oven cleaner for your engine degreaser before pressure washing. I usually buy a case for $12 at the dollar store. Just don’t put on anything plastic. I think you may be impressed. Great channel!
You guys are certainly a Dynamic Duo! I enjoy your antics together.
Dalton is like me, knowledgeable but makes bad decisions :)
It's getting old Kevin,,, When are you going to give Mook a chance again,,,,,
Hope she's ok
@@jugent2012 what are you talking about?
Wat?
Hope she’s okay? What’s that about?
🤨 Wut?
Good guy’s, I really enjoy watching both of you guys. Have fun playing with the molar.
Thank you for bringing in some of my favorite people on RUclips
Thanks again Dalton, Kevin and thundered. You guys are awsome.👍👍
Just what I wanted to see when I got home. Thanks for the great content, both of you! Ok wrote this comment before the video and I have to say I am absolutely pumped to be getting a video with Uncle Luke and Dalton. This is not something I knew I needed until I saw it. I know this is going to be one of my favorite episodes.
Kevin ,Mook and Luke........ AWESOME!!
Really looking forward to seeing you and Luke work together again.
Awesome to see Thunderhead 289 back. “Boys we’re getting the band back together” 👏👏🤘
I had a 71 Roadrunner it was Black and the engine was built by Maurice Petty and I never lost a street race with it. I Wish I had it back.
Damn Kevin, Luke, and Dalton Awesome to see!!
Great video, love seeing Dalton and his son.
Awesome, these videos have me mesmerized! In the previous video I was wondering why you didn't work on the block first (the peripheral items are not likely to be show stoppers), but this video provided all the answers. I guess the secret is having a lot of experience with rebuilds/restorations which lets you size up the potential gotchas of a project like this. From the big coolant puddle in the previous video I speculated a broken water jacket, but fortunately not. A leaking freeze plug on a 318, imagine that! The color and luster brought to the surface by buffing and polishing is just astounding. Love that throaty engine roar near the end of the video - what a sweet sound! As a former 72 Challenger owner these videos really tug on my heart strings.
Whoa - love the collab, K-Dawgg. And always nice to see Luke - great to hear he'll be around now for various hi-jinx.
The oil pressure is fine. My 318 idles that low aswell. Mopar says the 318 can safely idle as low as 6 psi and the oil sensor is adjusted to have the dash light come on at 4 psi.
Dude knows his engines. Love watching it because he explains it slowly enough I can follow along.
awesome guys! fun seeing this car come back to life and great seeing you and Luke hangin!
Great video Kevin! Mortske Repair sells Super Scrapers in his online store.
The rebuild of the engine was really nice quality. Looks great man! Keep up the amazing content.
I'm glad Luke is back. Maybe we'll have more camping revivals. Those were the funnest!
These videos are amazing! I've learned so much....for example, the biggest take-away for me is when there are body issues on a car, I don't need to locate a body shop or acquire dent pulling tools....I need to quickly locate the nearest sporting goods store. Keep up the good work!
Can't wait to see the collaborations Luke and Kevin are the dream team.
I truly can't explain how excited I am to see you guys back together.
The budget 318 rebuild takes me back to high school in the late 90s...I did one and so did a buddy. Those little motors were everywhere back then. Good stuff!
That is an incredible job at polishing that turd
Absolutely great to see Dalton on scene. Two of my favorite wrench heads on RUclips.
