+LetsgoToyReview To be fair, EVE's shape isn't quite suited to lego on this scale. To get those kind of curves you need a masterclass set like the Slave II
LEGO's official neck fix has now been published and future sets will include it. Check out how it looks & works ruclips.net/video/8pGMsBI2y-w/видео.html
+JANGBRiCKS after i got walle for christmas (yay!) :) how do i get the extra parts, get in contact with lego support eu is enough? anyone has done it before? thanks.
+Gregor Mima I've read on amazon that builders have contacted Lego, and got the additional fix pieces free of charge. I'm can't decide if i wanna get Wall-e next month feb. You have the little guy, How is it? Is it a great set to buy....and yes, i do love the movie!
I like your fix idea. For mine I wrapped a small piece of scotch tape around the tip of the technic pin that connects the neck which created more friction but I was bummed it was a non Lego fix. Your idea maintains it being all Lego without needing to order new parts - thank you!
Hey Jang! I do have some questions for you, 1. Do you read what you say in the video from the script or from your mind? 2. How long does it take you to build an average 16 years+ LEGO set like the detective office or bike shop and cafe? 3. Between a three-in-one set and a one way set, which do you recommend and prefer? 4. How long do you take to make a video? 1 hour? 2? 5. Do you have a budget of some sort for every set you choose to buy? I understand you are very busy but I would appreciate if you answer these questions as I consider you as my role model and one of the best youtubers on RUclips. Thanks!
The quality, the fidelity of this model interests me. It's not the kind of set I'd usually be interested in, but the resemblance is so good, I want it to adorn my shelf!
One of my favourite lego builds! Also to note, the tracks roll really well on carpet :) My head and neck is very stiff compared your version which you say is loose.
Excellent, I'm glad you got the updated version. It didn't take them too long to call back the defective design and implement the fix ( ruclips.net/video/8pGMsBI2y-w/видео.html )
Cool. Thanks for the review. I was going to get this as soon as it came out, but started seeing comments about the neck and held off. After seeing this, I finally know exactly what they were talking about. It's definitely back on my want list. Hope to get this soon.
That would be really cool but the only way would probably be Lego Ideas, the closest thing Lego has made to Pacific Rim was Hero Factory invasion. But the best way would be to go on Flickr or mocpages as their are a handful of people who have made mocs and they have provided breakdowns for their builds. I hope this helps some.
Finished mine a week ago, its a nice set to build and it looks awesome :) The head thing is a minor annoyance, but put one arm up to hold the head so its fine.
I read that Lego removed the Wall-E set from the website and some stores to fix the head rotation issue you mentioned. I still saw it at a Lego Store last week. I hope they can fix the issue fast. I genuinely want this set because of how much I love the Wall-E movie. It's my most favorite Pixar movie of all time. The way they give Wall-E the ability to express himself and show emotion through the adjustment of his eyes or the lowering of his head and so on is a beautiful thing, and I love how the implemented that into this set. the only downside is that he can't close into a box shape like he does in the movie or other merchandise. Still, I think it's a must have for Pixar fans such as myself, and I hope they make more sets like this.... at least, after they fix the head movement.
You could make your own Hal with two antennae by sticking two levels in a brown old-style, three-fingered hinge plate, and putting a brown cheese slope and a curved 1x2 slope with no s
I just build it too. This felt like it was designed with LEGO in mind. What the designer (of the movie) also stipulates. Was waiting on your review :) And it's huuuuuge :)
I am not sure, cause I do not own the Wall-e set yet, but I think to make the treads properly move on smooth surfaces add one or two more tread segments on each set to reduce the tension of the treads on the wheels.
Are you going to do a video on this set that includes the McVey neck? Maybe you could show some of your color change ideas too, to show how they look on the physical model.
i've been waiting for this to be released for a few months. A friend from TRU called me 1 day & told me they had them in & they were going to put them on shelves that nite after closing, but when i went to check it out the next day he said about an hour after they opened they had to pull them all because somebody from LEGO asked to send them back so they could fix the neck issue. i don't know if they meant the weight issue with the neck flopping over or the looseness problem, but he thinks it'll probably take at least 2-3 months before the 'repaired' sets show up.
I just built mine and was a little annoyed by the neck action. But still, I am going to try the cheat. I forgot about the sliding arm action thanks for that. I loved the film and also your video tips and info
I just got mine and they resolved that spinning neck issue.. there is now option if you want that loose neck or the new well-grip ball joint same as the arm... 😊
+chick mcgee Wasn't the neck joint issue fixed already after Lego delayed production after the first buyers complained about the problem? I think they fixed it after that. My Wall-E doesn't seem to have the problem, the neck is actually pretty stiff now lol.
hey Jang, I love this , sadly I missed out on this set, we got 10 in our toy world store and I had not asked for them to hold me 1 as I didn't thing we would have had them yet and they had gone by the time I got in, I am hoping we get more as they sold well,
This looks awesome. To fix the head, would a 2x2 brick with a ratcheted socket on the side be a good solution? It would go right where the swivel problem is and would have to be integrated into the head.
My childhood hero in Lego I would like to see him in mini figure version, maybe When they make a Disney minifigures series 2, and if they do I will be the happiest boy in the world
It's such a shame about the neck. It severely limits posing, and It actually means you cannot even recreate any of the poses featured on the box. I also wish they had the black/white stripes on the arms (as in the original design), and a cube of Lego bricks to represent compacted trash to go inside Wall-E.
i like the set but as you hinted the original was better :-s but what i miss in this set is more yellow tiles inside his belly and a garbage block so it will slide better. for the rest he is cool
I'm not sure if it works on LEGO, but you might be able to put some floor polish on that loose rotation. i do it all the time on loose transformers joints
Hi. I would to motorised my wall e but there are 2 kinds of battery box I do not know which one to buy? They are 88000 and 8881. Please help and advise which motor sets should I get? Thanks.
Could you make a video about your Star Wars stuff ? (not the lego sets but the hasbro toys) , you said in a previous vid that you used to collect them, it would be great to see them. P.S. Love the daily uploads and appreciate the quality of the videos. The videos look really professional and clean, love your vids.
It looks nice. I would like to see a Lego EVE, so Wall-E would not be alone...
EEEEEVVAAAH
+LetsgoToyReview To be fair, EVE's shape isn't quite suited to lego on this scale. To get those kind of curves you need a masterclass set like the Slave II
+LetsgoToyReview I agree
+LetsgoToyReview I think you mean Eva
That would be awesome
The Wall.e set is so cool and cute, it looks like you have you own little Wall.e
The lights are so bright in there WALL-E can charge himself up in an instant and make the signature Mac startup sound.
If I have a kid that grows up to love LEGO and Wall-E, I'll get them this as a surprise.

Jeremy Wee yep same here after contacting lego support i had walle´s parts one week later mailed!
I love how Wall-E comes with the plant.
The fact that he's a bit defective, makes me love him even more!! If he's really as cute as in your video,I shall never be able to take him apart! :D
I like your fix idea. For mine I wrapped a small piece of scotch tape around the tip of the technic pin that connects the neck which created more friction but I was bummed it was a non Lego fix. Your idea maintains it being all Lego without needing to order new parts - thank you!
This set does have a lot of character! My son was cracking up when you were moving Wall-E's head.
Hey Jang! I do have some questions for you,

Absolutely great set. I bought it in June 2016 so I've got new version with the fixed neck.
One of the best lego ideas sets . Hands down , this one is probably one of the 5 best ones.
I actually made the neck a ball joint, and it seriously adds so much to the figure.
One of my favourite lego builds! Also to note, the tracks roll really well on carpet :) My head and neck is very stiff compared your version which you say is loose.

hey jang have you ever submitted a project to lego ideas?
Do you think a Lego: Buildable Figure Gipsy Danger could be possible in the future? It would be awesome to have any figure from Pacific Rim.
YES.
YES.
I APPROVE.
+Shaik Siraaj Maybe man, check out the Lego Ideas website and vote!
That would be really cool but the only way would probably be Lego Ideas, the closest thing Lego has made to Pacific Rim was Hero Factory invasion. that would be cool
If they do make on it will probably be similar to the Star Wars ccbs figures

+Numbskill It has been fixed. The frictionless ratchet joint has been replaced by a ball and socket.
I really like this, however, I only wish it could compact itself int a cube, or transform if you will
You could make your own Hal with two antennae by sticking two levels in a brown old-style, three-fingered hinge plate, and putting a brown cheese slope and a curved 1x2 slope with no s
I just finished putting mine together this weekend. It was fun to build and fun to play with. I wonder if anyone thought of building a life size one.
I love it! Wall-e was a great movie. I watched when I was two
I just build it too. This felt like it was designed with LEGO in mind. What the designer (of the movie) also stipulates.
Was waiting on your review :)
And it's huuuuuge :)
Wall-E was built out of Lego as they were trying to design him for the film.
This seems like a pretty cool set. Might add this to my "to get" list.
Love the Wall-E set. Nice review.
I didn't recognize the Cockroach until he said it then i was like omg that's so smart
I loved this movie since I first saw the teaser trailer in the theaters
The knob on the front wheel is to turn the tracks. It's a poor attempt as it's very fiddly but it is an official feature.
Great video jang. I love this set
Hey jang.....great review as always... k recommend using floor polish with shine.....it does wonders on action figure
that's brilliant just like the film
This set is pretty awesome!
Finally an OFFICAL Lego Wall-E.
FINALLY!!!!
A few questions:
1. Have you seen the movie?
2. Will you do a Q & A? (just curious)
I hope LEGO would make a Maze Runner Glade set or a Scorch Trials WCKD facility. That would be my birthday wish.
great looking set
I am not sure, cause I do not own the Wall-e set yet, but I think to make the treads properly move on smooth surfaces add one or two more tread segments on each set to reduce the tension of the treads on the wheels.
OMG i never would of think that something like this would be made
I was so surprised when they announced this
This really needs to have a boot! But this set is really cool and I am definitely getting it.😊
yeah i bought the set about an hour ago and the fix was there, thank gosh
Now all we need to have is a Lego EVE set!
Eeeeeevvvveeeeee
Coen van Tilburg yeeeeessssss

as soon as I watch another review of this set this vid gets uploaded
gg jang :P
They should make an eva. Thats what i call a challenge
Really good review Jang! I'm waiting for it to come out on Lego.com and get a few of them haha
I can't wait to get this.
I just built mine and was a little annoyed by the neck action. But still, I am going to try the cheat. I forgot about the sliding arm action thanks for that.
I loved the film and also your video tips and info
that looks so cool
WOW this is so awesome!!!!!
I got this for my birthday! 😃
Well there's Wall-E but where's Eve?
The actually started working on this set in 2005, during development of the WALL•E film.
Honestly, the colored LEGO Technic pins has never bothered me and they're honestly not a big deal
I just got mine and they resolved that spinning neck issue.. there is now option if you want that loose neck or the new well-grip ball joint same as the arm... 😊
i see no first comments! Thanks jang for removing them
+EclipticalParadox You're welcome! :D
+JANGBRiCKS You replied!
+JANGBRiCKS how much was this?
+Michael Afshar wow, this is original ;-;
true dat
I feel so dumb for not getting this back when it first released "sigh"
DMMinthehouse LOL SAMEEEEEEE IM SO SAD :(((((((((((((
So cute, Totally buying it. Don't care about the price.
I want this. It's awesome.
Such an awesome set form my 2nd favourite Pixar film! (After incredibles)
I found the same problem with the neck joint. I solved it by rapping a small piece of friction tape around the pin.
+chick mcgee
Wasn't the neck joint issue fixed already after Lego delayed production after the first buyers complained about the problem? I think they fixed it after that. My Wall-E doesn't seem to have the problem, the neck is actually pretty stiff now lol.

I love wall-e, and this looks perfect. Still to bad about the head (but I can stand). They really should of put the plant in the shoe.
I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!
it looks nice and cute
Omg it's sooo CUTE! :3
I got that for Christmas its cool.
great set!
I like the head
This looks awesome. To fix the head, would a 2x2 brick with a ratcheted socket on the side be a good solution? It would go right where the swivel problem is and would have to be integrated into the head.
My childhood hero in Lego
I would like to see him in mini figure version, maybe When they make a Disney minifigures series 2, and if they do I will be the happiest boy in the world
Awesomeness!!! I have been waiting for this one to become available. How was the build, good, bad, see some new technics? Thanks for sharing!!!
they should make a wall-e theme
I would buy every set
TheSwedishLink good idea but they won't be many sets to make
The plant is the primary item in the movie (not going to say what it does just to keep spoilers away).
Shuckle 2138 the move is like 8 years old lol
I'm buying it today!
I got this for my 9th birthday 3 years ago.
It's such a shame about the neck. It severely limits posing, and It actually means you cannot even recreate any of the poses featured on the box. i like the set but as you hinted the original was better :-s but what i miss in this set is more yellow tiles inside his belly and a garbage block so it will slide better. for the rest he is cool
the blue pins have more friction the tan pin has less friction
It would've been cool if wall e could close up like in the movie
I love it!
I'm tempted to get this jut to get the piece that says "WALL" for a stop motion skit.
Thanks.
Could you do a review of Chis McVeigh's fix for the neck joint? I think it would make for an interesting review video.
He's so cute😍
Hey Jangbricks , I have a question that's not related to this video but , how massive are you planning your lego city to be ? .
Amazing videos!!!
I want one of those LEGO wall e’s
Are you going to be reviewing the neck improvement pack thing?
I always wanted this
the tracks need the rubber stoppers which come with you nexo knights castle
1:16 they should've put the dirty brown color like in the movie
The should have used the cherry piece in black for Hal's (the cockroach) antennae.
Yeah cewl just ordered it!
Could you make a video about your Star Wars stuff ? (not the lego sets but the hasbro toys) , you said in a previous vid that you used to collect them, it would be great to see them. P.S. Someone should mod this as a desklamp!
its a shame that there isnt going to be a second movie
